My in-laws are coming on the next trip in 8/05. I would like to rent 2 ecv's offsite. They are going to fight me on this but it will make the trip much less stressful as we pushed them both around the parks last August and they are not lightweights.
Questions:

1. We will stay @ BCV or OKW. which will be more appropiate for storage to recharge @ night. They can walk but have bad knees and respitory problems.

2. Can they both board a bus at the same time with the ecv?

Thank you in advance for you replies.

We will be staying either @OKW or BCV next August.
Which will be more appropiate for storage and recharging 2 ecvs?

I have read that we can use the hosp house @ OKW is that true? I would rather stay @ BCV but the ecvs will take up so much room.

Can 2 board a bus at the same time?

Thanks in advance,
Suzz

Each bus that is handicapped equipped has tiedowns for 2 wheelchairs or ECVs so you should be fine. You may have to wait if one space is already full but ask the driver to inform transportation that 2 are waiting. Also there is a number to call transportation if needed. Ask at your resort.

A few parts to this.

Buses are limited to two wheelchairs or ECVs. If there is already one person on, only one can board.

If you stay at BCV or BWV you can get to Epcot via the walkway or by boat. You can get to MGM also by boat. If you stay at OKW all parks require bus.

A lot depends on what size unit(s) you are staying in. For example, one ECV can fit in one of the value resort rooms. If you have a two-bedroom or larger at any of the DVC properties there will be plenty of room for two ECVs.

Hope this information helps.

There were 2 threads by the same poster with basically the same questions. I merged the 2 threads together. You will get better feedback that way.

If you plan to visit Epcot and MGM often during your stay, it would be better to stay at BC as was already mentioned because you will have easy access either by boatr or rolling/walking to those 2 parks.
|f you plan to spend more time at MK or AK, the bus service at OKW is better than the bus service at BC.

It is possible to store an ecv at the Hospitality House (check in area) at OKW. On our last trip, we usually saw several of them parked there for charging. Otherwise, the OKW rooms are large anough to navigate in a wheelchair or ecv with very little trouble. You would be able to park an ecv in BC rooms (either villas or regular rooms), but not be able to drive around in the rooms.
