Hi! I'm new to the boards and enjoying all your tips and reviews. My DD and I will be in SoCal in a few weeks and I'm planning on getting the 2-day Park Hopper. The downside is that we won't be able to get to the parks until close to noon each day. Is there any chance for us to ride any of the great rides with our arrival time or will we spend all of our time in lines???

Thanks!
Jacque

One good thing is Disneyland is open until Midnight. Last Friday We arrived at 7PM last Friday and still spent 5 hours in the park. We grabbed a fast pass for Buzz as we went over to Nemo. (We use the handicap entrance so this was doable for us, but it was a 2 hour wait otherwise so I would say do this one at 11:45PM like the cast members were suggesting. They said at thta time the line is about 30 minutes. ) We tried to ride space next but it was broke down so we walked over to small world and watched the fireworks, then rode buzz, then went to Pirates, then mansion (both were walk ons since fantasmic was going) then we went to get sweets and called it a night at 11:45. we could have ridden more but we were on a slow pace and a wheel chair takes more time to get around iin crowds.

I would think that the key to getting on the more popular rides when arriving that late would be to immediately start accumulating fast passes. Remember, once you get a fast pass in DL, you can hop to DCA and immediately get another one. AND since Roger Rabbit (ToonTown) and Grizzly River Run are disconnected from all the other machines, you should get one for each of those right away too. You could be holding 4 fast passes for later in the day within the first hour of arriving at the parks!

Thanks, Barbday62, when we were at WDW in June we had my son and got a guest assistance pass for his special needs. Disney is really accommodating and I was so impressed with how smoothly everything went. The only ride we did not get any alternate entrance or wait line was Soarin' but his w/c was fine in the line and we were right behind an electric scooter as well. It was worth the 1-1/2 hour wait!!

Thanks, disneyscootergal, I'm trying to keep all the Fast Pass secrets straight!! LOL! I find that once I'm in a park, though, I'm so overwhelmed by all the people, activities, etc. that I never know which way to go. It takes me a little time to study the map to get my bearings :-) I'm trying to do some of that beforehand, but when it comes right down to it, I'm just going to enjoy whatever we get to do!!
