Is it safe to assume that with all the DVC resorts when a 2 bedroom dedicated is booked, that there are 2 queen size beds in the 2nd bedroom? TIA

At BCV, your reservation must state "2 Queen beds in 2nd bedroom." Otherwise your "dedicated 2 bedroom" there has 1 Queen and 1 sofa bed. There was a construction error and some of the dedicated 2 bedrooms there cannot accomodate the 2 Queens.

Otherwise, yes, you will have 2 Queen beds in a dedicated 2 bedroom.

OKW are just beds in the 2nd bedroom....I would imagine that will begin to change with renovations.

Good Lord, I hope not. Why would you think they would change the two queen beds at OKW???

Is there a difference between "dedicated" and "lock-off?"

A lock-off two bedroom can be separated into a one bedroom and a studio and booked that way (like all the two bedroom villas at BWV). A dedicated two bedroom villa can only be booked as a two bedroom villa. A dedicated two bedroom villa will only have one entrance, no kitchenette in the second bedroom, etc.

A lockoff is a 1 bedroom with a connecting studio to form a 2 bedroom.

A dedicated can only be a 2 bedroom. There is only 1 entrance into the living area. No second entrance into the 2nd bedroom, no kitchenette.

Thanks for the replies Deb-squared (I'm a math teacher). That was my assumption and that's why I didn't want to start a whole new thread.

:)

I thought that I had read somewhere in the dis-world that when the renovations started they would change some of the bedrooms to a queen with a pull out sofa....maybe I was wrong.

Just for the record....I much prefer the 2 beds. :thumbsup2

Love the Deb-squared. I'm an Engineer (or an Oompaloompa for Science as Dr Sheldon Cooper says on The Big Bang Theory).

They said they were going to add the sleeper chair into the living room at OKW.

Gotcha Deb, thanks for the clarity.
