Now back to rain today and forecast for the weekend

Alot of the country has bad flooding (fortunately not where I live)...can't believe its Summer Its like being in Narnia ..."always winter and never Christmas".
The rest of Europe is having a heatwave I think you might find the Med cruisers will be a little warm right now !

We are going to Turkey in October ......hope the good weather is still there then...

Please could you send a bit more good weather - the kids are finishing school tomorrow for 5 weeks - I don't want them stuck in the house all that time.

PS - would you like some rain ?

I have to tell someone, so I figure I'll let the cat out of the bag here!!

While onboard the cruise, we have a suprise vow renewal planned for my in-laws while we are in Grand Cayman!! We've booked the Grand Old House for an intimate beach ceremony at Smith's Cove and then a small reception afterwards. I've even managed to trick my mother-in-law into buying a nice new white dress for the occasion--she thinks we're having an old fashioned society tea at an old plantation. Not sure how I pulled that one off!! I am so excited, I just had to share!

I really am looking forward to it, they are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary. We can't think of a better way to do it!!

Seeing that beautiful place is making me have second thoughts about getting married on board the ship !!!!

We really wanted to have the ceremony on board ship (or REALLY on Castaway Cay), but it was WAY out of our budget and Disney won't do anything smaller than a $2500 package. I would absolutely LOVE to have been married by the Captain. I'm actually jealous of you!!

Oh my, you really have started to put doubts in my mind now

We really wanted to be married on Castaway Cay, but it was already given to a couple who were unable to have their wedding there this year.

I have to say I rather felt like I was settling for second best with having it on board the ship....and the other thing that really puts me off is the fact that we technically have to get married in a room at the terminal, before we leave Port Canaveral ....how romantic is that ?

Now I'm all confused...we haven't put any money down on the DCL wedding yet as they haven't got back to us with a price yet.........

Everybody has such grand celebrations going on...WOW, that's awesome!

I've been a little behind in planning this cruise....typically I have car rented/shuttle booked and room reserved, where the time has gone is beyond me. I must say, I went to reserve a room at the Residence Inn and I was in complete sticker shock....price from last year $99, this year $179. I thought it was amistake, nope no mistake....woo! I guess me and DH are going to have to talk about this one....heck for that price we can spend the night in WDW (but the driver the nest morning is what will get me in trouble with that conversation). What's everyone's plans?

Tink, I reserved rooms at the Country Inn and Suites for around 100.00/night. I've never stayed there but it looks nice.

We're staying at the airport Hyatt...we did that for our last cruise and it worked out perfectly, even though it cost an arm and a leg. No dealing with rental cars or taxis, and plenty of things to keep an 8 year old occupied!
I was shocked to see the price increase this year too--almost $100 more than last year!

I thought it was just a mistake at first, I had to call them to verify....WowZar. The nice lady on the phone did say that if they got closer to the date and had not booked very many they may run a special....but, on the other hand they may start booking up and increase the rate too.

Very good....I'll gonna discuss these others options with DH this w/e see what he thinks, I know he prefers the Marriott brand hotels, but for one night GEEZ that was just crazy.

Hi there!

We are so excited to say we'll be joining you on this cruise. We will be celebrating DH's 45th birthday the day we board and it is also a celebration cruise for our DS's upcoming High school graduation. We were going to do one of the canal cruises, but decided they would interfere far too much with Senior year or starting college, so we went back to our favrorite cruising month of February. This is our 7th cruise and the day we will board it will be 5 years to the day since our first 7 night cruise. All sorts of celebrations for us too. We will be staying the night before at Saratoga Springs as it is our home DVC resort and we haven't even been there yet! So we decided we would sneak over and get a peek. We are sooooo excited. I don't think we've ever been this long without an active countdown. But now...here we go! Can't wait to read all the way through the thread and get to know everyone.

Hi Allears!! Nice to meet someone else who'll be aboard with us! We're DVCer's too, and Saratoga Springs is our home resort...we love it there, I'm sure you will too!
