2/25/15 Poly Booking Thread

All sorts of issues online (had the reservation almost finished, selected which contracts to use, confirm reservation, error) so I called in. Busy signals for a while but finally got in with an 18 minute wait. Was able to change our April 17-19 reservation to the bungalows! Woohoo! This was about 10:30 am eastern.

I then decided what the heck, let's see if there is anything available for July 4th weekend. After about a half an hour of frustration I was able to book the bungalows for 7/3-7/5. Wow! Can't wait to see the July 4th fireworks from there! Got that around 11:20 am eastern. Yeah!

Wow....Just curious....but my June weekend is booked up. I didn't realize they were going to allow booking online for it. I had heard only through the phone. I would have checked this morning. I'm glad...I would have been tempted to use the extra points.....and I don't have a real good reason other than because it's Poly.

Yeah, we borrowed 17 to convert our 2 days at OKW to Poly. Was tempted to swap out our 4 days at BCV at the end of the trip (we have BLT for 4 days in the middle), but that would have been borrowing 18 more. Since we love Stormalong Bay, the only benefit would have been "because it's the Poly" - So we opted to just do the OKW days.

Pretty exciting stuff! Can't wait to see the first set of "trip reports" come mid April. May have to do one myself!

Tried to book one night in July (29th) and was booked up, this was around 9:30-10.

I switched 2 OKW days to the Poly for mid April. The rest of our trip is at BCV...kept that for that Flower & Garden Festival, but had to do the OKW days due to late changes for better flight times. Since we were going to have to change resorts anyway, thought it would be nice to try Poly. I was on hold about 30 min...not too bad for a day like today.

I was able to book May 9-17 in a standard studio and a Lake view studio for July 2-4 !!!!

Does anyone know if the lake view studio's might be able to see the fireworks ??

I had no problem booking either Lake View or Standard View for my dates June 8-12. It was wide open.

I didn't call until just after noon. Maybe a 10 minute wait on the phone.
Switched 2 nights (August 23 and 24) at VGF lake view studio to the poly lake view studio. Easy.
I'm sure someone was waiting for the VGF studios. Everyone wins!

Checked the online system around 7am this morning and then read that booking didn't start until 9am so I went about my work day. I think I checked back around 10 or 11am and tried for my 2 nights in July in a Studio Villa. Nothing available. So I had to wait list our 2 nights. I have two hold lists..studio and lake view...for those two nights.

Now to sit back and wait and hope our wait list comes thru. I wonder how many rooms are currently available to book online and hoping some will be released later. Plenty of time until July and if we don't get it we will be fine. Our current 2 nights are at Wilderness Lodge Villas and we are looking forward to that too. Either will be good since it is July 4th weekend.

OMG. I originally had no plans of switching our June reservations but after see some of these success stories we decided to look at the possible availability at the Poly. Our entire stay was available in a standard studio. I had to borrow some points but we took the plunge and moved to the Poly. We are soo excited.

We got in right at 7 (mountain time) and got the 2 days we wanted May 22 and 23. So excited! Apparently were super lucky we had no wait at all.

I had lots off sucess yesterday. An hours wait to get connected to DVC then 18 minute wait for them to answer. I was able to change my BWV villa to the Poly in August. I asked about BOG and nothing was available. I have not been able to book any resturants online at 180 +10 but last night I finally was able to get into MDE and got the BOG ressie I wanted. Two out of two, feeling rather pleased that perserverance paid off.

You must be trying for a different time. I couldn't get a studio for 2 nights I n beginning of July. Of course it is the week before July 4th.

Glad I read the boards this morning regarding the Poly availability issues yesterday. Went to my DVC account and tried to book a studios for my 2 dates again..and they showed available. Then checked my account and my wait lists were gone...and I was booked for Poly Studio STD view! Yeah!

Now added another wait list..for a 1BR std view at Bay Lake for the rest of our stay. It is okay if we dont get it since we will be fine with our current 1BR at OKW.
