***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

That's probably a good option. I can link them to phantoms on my MDE, but if those phantoms aren't on my resort reservation then they'll only be able to make FPs at 30 days out correct? That is a little annoying, but better than not having an option to make any advance FPs.
You're right. You can link them to phantoms. I keep forgetting about those, even though I have a couple of them myself, ;)

Not sure if this would help anyone... For anyone staying at universal hotel, their annual pass rates are out all the way until mid to late December... Maybe @JamieOak ... I think someone else was staying at RPR too but can't seem to remember who. I saved more than a hundred even taking in consideration the cost of upgrading to annual passes. :cool1:

I saw this post last night but I was heading to bed so I don't think it registered. You are saying that you upgraded one of your tickets to APs and then received a room discount for RPR? I purchased my tickets on Undercover Tourist. Would I be able to upgrade them to APs?

@BDFmom a long time ago, DIS'ers used to get those lime green Mickey head paint samples from Home Depot, write their username on it, (some laminated it) and attach it to their bag, shirt, or stroller. I don't know if people still so that, but we should do something special for our little thread here :)

Ohhhh--excellent!! :-) You too @SilSprBea! Great idea ladies!! :thumbsup2

Oh one more thing... If plans have not changed, I think @Lisa F and @areno79 and I are planning to hold spots for the first parade 12/8 and take turns. If you're up for it, we could definitely use more ppl. (Disclaimer: I ahve a 6:20pm BOG right now but Im trying to get an earlier reservation...)

I'm up for it!! Woot Woot!! I could bring beach towels to make the holding spot real estate larger? That's a relax at the resort day, then we have CRT at 4:30. I think we'll be in MK around 3ish. :-) I've got plans flip-flopped all over the place now and I have to see how to fit 12/3 Stars Wars Dessert party in...moving a few puzzle pieces around to get the big picture just right. ;) ETA: If we JUST. HAD. TIMES. It would be SO much easier!

I haven't tried this yet, but they talk about how you can umbrella your phantoms so that you can make fp+ for them when your 60 day window opens. I think the steps are to make the fp+s for the party ticket phantoms but include one of the people on the room reservation who has a ticket. Then, from what I understand, after you have made those fp+s, you can delete the fp+ for the real ticket holder and the phantoms' fp+ will remain.

Note to self - I'll have to try this. ;)

Yes, I did the same thing. I got my tickets from Undercover tourist, will upgrade them at guest services inside the park once I use the tickets. Just put in promotion code APH and see if there are discounts for your stay. The upgrade from 3 park to park tickets to seasonal AP will only cost $35 plus tax from what I'm seeing. The savings is over a hundred for my dates. (from $761.40 total to 592.88+ cost of ticket upgrade)

Woohoo! Like @Lisa F said, we could start a conversation on how to plan all this out closer to the date :cool1:

I swear @1437disney I think of you all the time. Have you been able to find the CRT? I definitely still have it and I'm still in the same position :( but more so towards being able to transfer it.
Thank you so much! I did get a reservation, but it is not the right date or time frame. We are still looking for a CRT and Ohana breakfast. I think mine are harder to get because I am looking for a bigger party size.

My sister is getting married next weekend and it is eating up all my Disney planning time. I am making a 4 layer cake plus 100 mini cakes, helping with making the flowers and favors. This is crazy. I plan on picking all of your Brains later on our plans. We probably can not use SDFP because of our group size, so I need a solid touring plan.

OK I see the room rate does drop and would save us almost $300 over our 2 night stay, but it says "must present valid AP at check in." We won't have the AP at check in if we are getting it in the park. Also, where are you seeing the cost to upgrade to an AP?

Are you factoring in that if I have an AP then I am going to go back within the next year and spend more money?! Very important factor!

Awesome idea @Lisa F and I'll look forward to it you guys! :-)

@rasadkowski....are you joining forces? :D (but no pressure!)
Between the various parties, ADRs and park days that cross paths, EMM, as well as the identifier, there should be lots of opportunities to say hi to each other for anyone who is interested! :flower1:

Are you going to be at Universal on 12/3? I wonder if they'll let people upgrade to seasonal AP because that is a blackout day (Manheim Steamroller concert). My APH savings would only be $60 for one night at SF because our RPR nights are already paid with a voucher ($325 vs $515 w/APH)

I think they usually are ok to show the AP before check out. I did the same thing in 2012 and it was ok. If ever not, then you could probably just leave your bags first and enter the park, check in later. :)

No, I will not be going back for at least a couple of years but considering the savings for $35 plus tax, it pays for itself. :)

Sorry, I check in 11/30.. didn't know 12/3 was a blockout date though, I planned to go in that day. Where do you see that info?

EDIT: Sorry I found it... Ugghhh... noq I need to figure out if I should upgrade to a power pass

In the 3 times I had used the APH benefit and was a pass holder, they never checked

The seasonal pass has a blackout date on concert days, and the main park has a Manheim Steamroller concert that night. IOA is not blocked out. I don't know if it would make a difference in upgrading, maybe something to ask in the Universal threads. I was lucky and had a B1G2 days offer for Universal, so the cost to upgrade for me negates the room savings. But when I did have an AP and stayed site, they never asked to see it on 3 different stays

I will pm you soon about CRT. What day/ time for Ohana? and that is so cool about baking for your sister!! How fun. Good luck!:flower1: We'll all be here !!

I would probably just enter IOA that day... We're moving to WDW so it does not really matter too much. I did want to see the christmas decorations on both parks... oh well, next time maybe. Thanks for the info!!! I'm glad I knew before going :)

It is a link to online check it. It will become active at your 60 day mark. :) It works for me now because I have an October reservation, so I know it isn't just a tease. ;)

Thanks for clarifying. Does anyone know the benefit to checking in 60 days early?

I hate when real life gets in the way of my Disney planning!!

I'm sure that someone, somewhere has a list of the movies that they show. Knowing Disney, those movies don't change very often.

Peter Pan is the other ride that has a very long line even as late as after the fireworks.

I think if your party tickets are linked to your MDE account then they become clones of your account. This means that if you book fastpasses for that day with your regular tickets then you won't be able to book fp+ using the party tickets, since no one can book more than three fp+ ahead of time, no matter how many tickets you have.

So I would think that if you want to do both, use your park tickets for fp+s and book fp+ using your party tickets, then you would have to create phantoms on your MDE account or a new MDE account for the party tickets. You would have to use new names if you want a new account. If Disney sees the same name then it will merge the accounts.

yes, as I said it can be very confusing and I think a lot of people are messing stuff up. I doubt disney closed the loophole just for MVMCP after leaving it open for MNSSHP. But you have to really understand what you are doing or it can be very confusing.

It is very confusing, especially with party tickets. That is why I would not try to reassign them to someone else for the purposes of SDFP. I think that gets messy. :(
