***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

it's all on topic for our trip! I do the same. it's all good, I think we all agree. Anyone who doesn't has given up trying to keep up I'm sure. if something gets passed by ask again! this thread moves fast!
agree with this! ask about anything at all! :D

your kid is not asking you to go?
last time he really wanted to do it, we walked up and saw the warnings and he decided on orange. so we did orange. it made me feel very sick and i do not want to do it again. if he wants to go again we are doing green. he will be fine with that, he is pretty easygoing. I don't think he is tied to orange or green and he is protective of mommy so if I say I don't want to he won't give me a hard time. if he doesn't particularly want to go i am fine with skipping it honestly.

here is a review I found of orange vs. green (not me writing it, just c&p - I think it pretty much accurately describes it). Orange is the kind of sickness where closing your eyes makes it WORSE. They even warn you.

Motion sickness sufferer here. Went on both just Sunday, in fact. Green was fine, no problems. Orange-oy. Made the mistake of briefly closing my eyes at the beginning, and spent the rest of the day quite ill. Actually had to put my head between my legs when we got out of there. If you haven't experienced the "g-force" feeling of taking off before, it's pretty intense. I might've been OK had I kept my eyes open, but not sure. BTW, my 8 yr old son thought it was fine and wanted to ride it again immediately.

I don't think green moves/spins at all, it's just the little film thing.

Green most definitely moves! I went on it, thinking I would be "fine". Ugh! It moved way more than I expected and I felt a bit off by the time it was done. I don't care to do it again. It doesn't spin at all, but it is rather herky-jerky and is still a very small, tight space (I'm not claustrophobic or anything, but it still felt really stuffy and close to me). Nope, not going on it again. I can't say I wish I hadn't though, it wasn't really THAT bad, but it was worse than I had been led to believe.

I did Soarin' without a problem though, and I did Star Tours a couple times but wouldn't be able to do that one without a long break between rides.

Now that I think about it, do I need 2 full days at epcot? SKipping Ellens energy, mission space, the living seas. Doing the land, figment, spaceship earth, FEA, soarin, Anna Elsa sommerhaus, joy sadness, mickey m&g (although tbh we will meet mickey at ohana and hs too so...not a priority at epcot. ) What else is there? We will browse through international showcase too to see princesses like mulan, snow white and alice. We will do illuminations. We have akershus.

Do you want to do any of the special holiday storytellers? What about the Liberty Singers or whatever they are in the American pavilion? I can't wait to hear them and see all of the entertainment in each of the pavilions. Of course, we have FOUR trips planned at Epcot this time so maybe we like it a bit.

:)...sooooo guilty of this....:offtopic:. I will selfishly ask something completely off topic at anytime! I'm so sorry everyone!!
No, it's all good! I do it too! :)

Yes, always ask again. Some days are too busy for me to get on here when DH is at work, and so I just jump in where ever the thread is at.

Maybe it's just me but the princesses can be time consuming at Epcot. Getting the timing right for when they come out and the line getting cut off and waiting for them to come back out.
We're doing 2 days at Epcot. My little ones love it. We need the 2 days just for all the food and snacks.

I've done MS green two times and been fine. I can definitely see how people with claustrophobia would freak. Just as the door was closing the person on the end ran out last time. I really want to do orange so I'm thinking I will try it. I don't get motion sickness in cars or rides. I found I get seasick in small boats when I was about 30 (was fine before that). I've been on a few rough big ship cruises but Bonine works. Maybe I'll take one of those as a precaution.

Who here as the DP, DxDP, QSDP, or no dining plan?

We're doing the DxDP. It's already feeling like a lot of food, but it'll be good. I adore Disney snacks!

Currently have free QS dining at AoA that we upgraded to regular dining plan. We're still on the fence about keeping the upgrade or dropping back to QS and paying OOP for a couple ts meals. We have a long trip planned and I think we'll all get sick of QS!

We have DDP from 11/27 to 12/6... one night room only.

Oh... I'm so excited for Epcot. I have not been since a was a kid. My kids have never been, they've only been to MK. DHS and AK will be new to all of us.

I think we need 2 mornings in EP.

If we see them we see them but won't go out of out way to. I think my dd won't have patience for it but we don't know for sure.

We are looking forward to spending a lot of time in Epcot on this trip. Besides all the Christmas stuff to see there will be our old favorites like the British Revolution. I also have to see the new Frozen and Soarin' rides. We'll walk over to the Epcot resorts, too, and check out the decorations. :)
