***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Well at least the prices are a little better than the 'leaked' info yesterday lol

Do you know when SP narrators get announced?
CP? lol. what is sp? are we taking the christ out of the candlelight processional now too? (that is totally a joke, no one take offense either way!!!!!!)

I am waiting for them to announce CP narrators and DVC merry member mixer dates. not sure when any of that is announced.

honestly I'd stay cheap. the other thing i thought of and just checked on, the swan/dolphin is operated by sheraton, on the boat line, and is "only" $360 a night - so more than pop but about half BWI (well a bit more than that with tax and fees and all that). So maybe that is a good compromise? I checked DVC for you and there is no availability at BWV or BCV so that is out. I might pay a bit more for the swolphin. maybe. Or maybe I'd just stay super cheap but gosh I hate the buses lol. I might pay a couple hundred more but not $500 more!
Thanks for checking! Yeah I asked on the DVC board here, only thing available was OKW or AKV..neither of which are convenient for Epcot.
I never use disney transport for anything (ME or cruise, though it's been years since I did a cruise). I do not like not having control of my destiny. It stresses me out. I always rent a car around the parks because I hate buses and I still stay near the parks I want to go to whenever possible. Just the way I am. The extra few hundred $$ is worth it for my quality of vacation.
I actually enjoy NOT driving for once. We rent a car on other vacations, but last year at WDW I didn't rent until the last day- second half of trip was Boca Raton then Key West, so needed a car for that.
I've debated it this time though. It would actually save me money compared to the transfers or car service, I just worry about the hassle parking at the port. I should look into that more...I try to make things as convenient as possible, which seems like you do too so I'm sure you can relate! Also, if I rent a car then I have to deal with bringing a car seat again. (YEs my 6 year old is still in a car seat..don't judge..lol), but I think I will switch to a high back booster when school starts next year

Ha ha yes! I meant CP. typo sorry!

I'm ok with car service too, esp to the port that would be my pref. I meant on disney property, I don't like the bus and I won't take ME (yes I am a princess, I'm going to the right place!) But to get to the port I would take a car service, someone hired by me and serving only me. again princess.

Latest Flight Out back to MKE

Now, just this week we thought about maybe if the weather is ideal for a beach day, we would stay the night in Daytona on the 7th and fly out early on the 8th (haven't bought flights yet). Hotel rates are super cheap that night in Daytona. And I would love to wake up on the beach at the Hilton Daytona.

We are definitely so excited!!

Just got pointed to this thread by @Lisa F :) How fun! My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary at BWI from 12/3 - 12/9.

I had originally booked at POP for the night of the 3rd til I realized it is PW week - so added a night on at the BWI :) (really sad about that one (NOT))! I bought tix last night for MVMCP on the 6th and so excited for it! We went 5 years ago and had such a great time, but missed the parade, but we won't miss it this year!

Hi there! Congratulations! We are going to MVMCP the 6th too. BWI looks beautiful.

We will be at AoA Dec 2-11. Cannot wait! Thinking of doing a party for the first time and we're also looking at Dec 6 or Dec 8. Any thoughts on which MVMCP would be less crowded?

Also, any CP tips? DH and I went about 8 years ago, pre kids and really enjoyed ourselves, BUT ... we just happened to stumble upon it and had no idea it existed before that night. Now with kids and knowing the importance of planning ahead, I need some solid advice.

Thanks @Lisa P and @Winniebell10 :) So nice to share my excitement with others who are also excited! @Lisa P thanks for the info about PW usually buying out HS on Wednesday eve. I'm planning on HS that morning and hoping crowds won't be too bad. I have used a combo of Easy WDW (dec 2015) and touring plans crowd calendars to plan our days. They jive for the most part. Still having trouble deciding if we should brave evening EMH at HS and epcot. We have hoppers - so may try and make it just for the EMH. I feel so much pressure to get it all nailed down before the big ADR date:)

our (tentative) plans are:
12/3 - very late arrival - dinner at Boardwalk Bakery
12/4 - MK in am - PPO ADR at CP for breakfast, lunch at Columbia Harbor House, a late dinner at Cape May Cafe then off to HS for EMH
12/5 - Epcot PPO ADR at Garden Grill, lunch QS at HS, late afternoon break then Dinner back at Epcot at Chefs de France
12/6 - AK in the morning with PPO Breakfast at Tusker House, mid day break then MVMCP
12/7 - HS in the morning, QS lunch then Dinner in Epcot at Rose and Crown
12/8 - MK PPO at BOG for breakfast, leave around noon and do a monorail resort crawl to check out decorations with lunch at Grand Floridian, followed by a break - then dinner at the Biergarten
12/9 - HS in am, followed by afternoon in Epcot with Lunch at Coral Reef, flight home at 7:30pm

The big holes in my plans are - Evening at AK to see new night time stuff. This is my husband's least favorite park, and right now with the things they've announced not too excited about this, but if they do get ROL going I will probably want to include this somehow. The other hole is CP. Will most likely change one of my Epcot ressies to include this. I wish they would announce the details for this before our ADR date!

I think historically speaking the tuesday party is generally less crowded than the thursday party. That said, the tuesday party is the last discounted party date. The discount is minimal ($6 for me and my son TOTAL) so who knows how much of an effect it will have on people.

I am doing the 12/8 party because I was not able to get my first choice of poly reservations for 12/3-12/6 so instead I am staying there 12/7-12/10. Friday will be busier than thursday and we are flying out Saturday so Thursday it is!

Hello!

Just returned from a wonderful week long beach vacation in Florida. :beach:

With that being said, its time that I've gone into full fledge Disney planning!:jumping1: We will be in the parks from November 29th - December 9th. We're having a "grand gathering" so to speak so this is the biggest Disney trip I've planned yet! We have two little girls who will be 3 and 10 months at the time of travel.

Yesterday we booked our MVMCP tickets, and we'll be attending Thursday, December 1st.

Looking forward to joining in the planning fun!:goodvibes

So I need some help now. Reconsidering some of my dining plans... these are the days in questions:

Monday day 3, BWV
down day, disney springs, pool, whatevs
Boardwalk Bakery Snacks breakfast
Wolfgang Puck Express (2QS)
evening at HS
H&V Holiday Dine with F! (2TS)
F! and fireworks.

Wednesday day 5, BWV switchover to Poly
Garden Grill Breakfast (2TS)
early ohana dinner (3:30-4pm timeframe)
evening at MK for non xmas party night, MSEP, regular wishes

Thursday day 6, Poly
AK Morning, MVMCP evening
Boma Breakfast OOP
BoG early dinner (4pm or so) OOP before xmas party

that was the original. But with how hard it is to get BoG I was thinking of a backup and now i think I like my backup better than I like my original plan. MAYBE

So Monday (or whatever day that plans turns out to be, I'd rather it be tuesday just because it would put my down day further into the week but waiting for DVC very merry mixers to be announced lol) I would do Boma for breakfast instead of WPE for lunch (doing DxDDP)

So wed instead of having Ohana, I'd make a 5pm Narcoossees dinner.... DxDDP For me and OOP for my kid so same two credits. mmm lobster.

then thursday instead of Boma for breakfast, I'd move my last day Ohana breakfast to there and have it at the resort before going to MK. Then for dinner, back to Ohana (is that crazy? it just works out that way! they are two totally different experiences so...why not right?)

Then on my departure morning instead of Ohana breakfast we'd just do room service and keep it low key.

What do you think of backup vs. original?
