Hello! My husband and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in August, and we figured what better way to do that than on a Disney cruise! The catch: this will be our 1st cruise, we'll be traveling with our 16 mo. old, and I'll be 7 mos. pregnant. If my doctor gives the ok, then are there any cons to planning this? Are we crazy? Thanks!

You might want to check with DCL about their restrictions on pregnancy and cruising. It seems to me that you will be too far along.

DCL does not allow pregnant women past 24 weeks to cruise due to medical concerns.

I also thought that Disney had a restriction of no cruiser beyond 24 weeks. As an OB/L&D nurse that cut-off date is a sensible one. I would not recommend traveling at 7 months which is about 32 weeks, any travel during your pregnancy after 25 weeks should be ok'd by your health care provider. (and get a copy of your prenatal record to take with you just in case, if they should ok any plans) Just my thoughts.

DCL definitely will not allow you to sail at that stage of pregnancy, I'm afraid. They specifically state:

"Women past their 24th week of pregnancy will be refused passage on Disney Cruise Line Ships due to safety concerns."

I hope you can find a great way to celebrate your 10th anniversary, and save the Disney cruise for future celebrations. :)

Oh well...I guess we'll just have to "settle" for a good ol' Disney World vacation to celebrate the anniversary, and take the cruise later after the baby's born. Somehow we'll make it! :) Thanks for the info!
