1st time at BWV, some ???

does a 1br at BWV have a hair dryer?

vcr?

dvd?

are they that much smaller than a 1br at OKW? that's where we're used to staying.

Looking forward to walking to epcot, BC, Swan, Dolphin

Heading down in 2 weeks, hoping it's swimming weather!

All of the DVC resorts, including the BWV, have hairdryers in the in the living room (no DVDs yet, but there are future plans to change the VCRS out to DVCDs.

Can't really answer the question on relative size except to say that OKW 1 bedroom units average 1016 sq feet and BWV 1 bedroom units average 712 sq. feet.

The 1 BRs at BWV are substantially smaller than the 1 BR at OKW. The 1 BRs at BWV are very nice but the size difference compared to OKW is very noticeable, especially the DR area/table and the kitchen area, the master bedroom and bath are about the same size as OKW. Also the 1 BR at BWV has the w&d that are stackable and in a closet so you will not have a seperate laundry room. None of the other DVC resorts at WDW have the large spacious 1 BR like OKW has. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE BWV, it is my favorite WDW resort but they do have smaller 1 BRs than OKW.
The location of BWV is wonderful. You will really enjoy the Epcot area there is so much to do right outside your door. Enjoy your trip!

All of the DVC resorts, including the BWV, have hairdryers in the bathrooms. There is a VCR in the one and two bedroom units in the living room of the BWV (no DVDs yet, but there are future plans to change the VCRS out to DVDs.

One thing I love about BWV 1 bedroom that OKW doesn't have is the huge walk-in closet. There's room enough on the floor for 2 suitcases.

thanks so much for the replies! one less thing to pack in case they change the weight limits again!

since there's only 3 of us, and we don't really cook, the kitchen/dining area being smaller won't be a huge deal. At least the bedroom/bath are similar.

Didn't realize the w/d were stackables. That probably means smaller loads and reaching way up high! oh well!

I like the idea of the walk in closet. Plenty of storage space!

To me, it isn't the difference between the size of the kitchens... It's all in the layout... OKW and VB have the island countertop/TV Entertainment center, whereas BWV kitchens have a peninsula and the kitchen walkway dead ends...

I never really noticed the difference until last year when I bought into VB and stayed there... ( I need lots of elbow room to work in a kitchen.. )

IMHO, more than one person can work in the OKW/VB/HH kitchens and not get in each other's way...

Yes to the hair dryer. Last time we were there they had a VCR but no DVD, but that was several years ago.They are smaller than OKW, great location though.

None of the studios at any resort have VCRs/DVDs.

I just wanted to comment on the size difference between OKW and the other DVC resorts. While I have yet to stay at any onsite DVC except OKW, when we toured all of the models at BWV last summer I was surprised that they were larger than I expected. Having stayed at OKW and read the various threads about the "tiny" rooms at the other resorts, I was very happy by what I saw. The other DVC resort villas are noticeable smaller than OKW, but still very roomy.

Actually, the studios (and Inn Rooms) at VB have VCRs. I don't know about HH. It is true that none of the studios at WDW have VCRs/DVDs.
