We just got back from our Poly Welcome Home stay...and WOW! Talk about extraordinary. We requested a third floor Moorea room and got it, so off to a good start. We arrived on Valentine's Day, and decided to do the walk up list for Ohana just to see if we could get lucky. Got in at 5:30...another good start! The meal was incredible, and we got a table right by the window overlooking the pool, and by extension the castle. It lived up to the hype and then some, though I think I needed bell services to cart me back to the room after it was over. We got back in time to watch the fireworks from our balcony. That's an experience we'll remember forever. Just one of those times where you say "Ok, DVC is incredible."
First park day was solid. Started at MK and then hopped over to Epcot. The food was good, especially the Arancini in Italy. Snagged a few prints from the art shops, then enjoyed some Regal Eagle. Brisket sandwich there is now a must for us. Got stuck on Spaceship Earth for 15 minutes at the Rome scene and tried to decipher the tablet while we waited, but apparently we need to brush up on our Latin. Ended with getting a cake delivered to the Poly front desk for my wife's birthday...and if I wasn't already in our room I again would have needed bell services assistance.
Day two we started at HS and did both Star Wars rides and had some oddly colored milk! My wife's reign as Toy Story Mania champion continues as she has now beaten me roughly 200 times in a row. Muppets Vision played to a packed house, which is nothing less than what the Muppets deserve! Hopped over to AK to ride FoP, then over to MK for the extra two evening hours for deluxe resorts. We rode Splash Mountain and saw the fireworks from the ride, and then thanks to said fireworks the line was nonexistent and they let us stay on the same log and ride it again. Perfect! Then we were able to do Mine Train, Peter Pan, and Buzz all by 10:15. Decided to take the boat back a bit early and finish off the cake.
Our last day was spent with a quick trip to DS, then a couple adult beverages on the Poly beach. It was one of those trips where you feel so content and satisfied afterwards, but sooo sad that it's over. My heart hurt riding the bus back to the airport haha. After staying at CCV last month, I was skeptical anything could live up to that. But now I'm thinking we don't have enough Poly points! Back to the "new listings" we go!!
