1900 Park Fare

We are eating here for the first time during our trip in June. It's during the Cinderella's dinner. WHen I made the ADR the CM asked if we were celebrating anything special. Which we are my son's 7th b'day and I told her that. Does anyone out there know what the do for the b'day celebration? Or do they do anything???

Also..what did you think of the food/character interaction

Love 1900 PF.
The Character interaction was very good both times we have been there. I cannot remember them doing anything special for B-Days but I really was not paying attention for that.
Both my DD's really enjoyed waltzing with Prince Charming!!

they bring him a HUGE cupcake with enough icing to make your teeth hurt just looking at it. Also sometimes they give the b-day boy/girl a free laminated autographed placemat to take home.

We took our granddaughter last May for her 1st bday. They brought her a cupcake and a "happy birthday" tiara. I'm sure the boys get a cupcake as well. I think I saw a couple of boys with crowns on (maybe they give them those instead of a tiara). They have a part during the entertainment where all the kids get up and dance and I think they sing Happy Birthday or acknowledge them in some way.

Oh man! I totally forgot about the tiara! We got like a dozen on our thanksgiving trip (dd6 bday).

Laminated place mat with everyone's autograph on it, huge cupcake, "Happy Birthday" tierras for girls and a king's crown for a boy.

Food is hit or miss but the characters ate wonderful!

We've eaten there several times, with a "little princess" of our own- and we've all enjoyed it more than CRT! (which we've only done once) We really like 1900 park faire for the character dinner- the food is good, the service is good, the characters are great. DS even liked it because it wasn't all JUST princesses/"kiddy" characters as he put it, etc. (like the majority of our other character meals) - there was PRINCE CHARMING there... which is a male- so you know... that was better for him. LOL 7yr old- that's perfect age... IMO with my experience with my son. I think you're son will like it and you too!

Actually, there is no guarantee you will get anything. On our trip last year, we were there for both DS's and DD's birthdays. It was noted on the appropriate reservations. Sometimes they got something, sometimes they did not.

It's great when it happens and a good bit of the time it does. If you want to be sure, you can always order a cake.

Oh, and 1900 was one of the places where DD didn't even get a "Happy Birthday". Not complaining, just letting you know.

That's weird, cause on our thanksgiving trip we ate at 1900 PF twice both times she got the whole shabang even a personal dance with charming (not the regular wait in line dance)

But that's just the randomness (is that a word?) of "Disney Magic".
Other restaurants we went to made a big fuss. One other, like 1900, no mention at all. That's it, you just never know, and I didn't want OP to have an unrealistic expectation level.

We loved Park Fare!! Character interaction was great! Food was really good. I made the pink dress from the movie for DD,and she got to dance with Cindy Those pic are priceless, along with the ones of her first meeting with a "real prince".
