188.00 for AKL

Is 188.00 a night a good rate for the AKL standard room or can I do better. This is supposed to be a AAA discount.

199.00 Per night is rack rate for value season. You can watch the boards or www.mousesavers.com to see if any codes are released for your dates later this year and then apply the discount to your reservation. AAA rates is better than paying full price, but the chances are that you will get a better rate if you wait.

I had standard view AKL for $109 in January - AP RATE - but I upgraded to concierge at check-in.

Is this with or without the 11.5% tax inc? Rack Rate during value season is $199 a night plus tax so full price is $221.89 a night inc tax for a standard view room.

I think its high. I have paid $176 tax incl for a savannah room in Dec around the same time frame.

It seems a bit high ... I went last December 8-16 and got a standard room for $109 + tax (AP rate)

in your case, it would be worth it for you to spend the extra money on a childs Annual Pass for the AP rate.

because during 7 days you would save some money plus have an Annual Pass. That is, if the 109 AP rate comes out in dec.

hang on to the ressies, when dec. gets closer their will be a codes for the public, i just booked back in jan. for easter at the poly on a public code and just got a public code for may at the akl$134. standard, i actually waited a while before i booked. then you call cro back and have them add the code to your ressies, you maybe will end up with savannah with your rate.

Sis booked with AP rate with her the only one holding an AP.

She was told..... the person booking/paying for the room had to have the AP = adult.

Don't know if this holds up, but I would check before purchasing a childs.

I have AKL reservations for Dec 6-12 and the 188.00 is including tax, (actual rate is 169.00 per night). Hoping for codes, but I figure 169.00 is not bad.
