185 days out and nothing before 8:30

Has anyone else had issues 185 - 190 days

I thought I read you could make them at 180. When can you start making ADR?

If you are staying onsite, you are allowed 180 + 10; being 190 days.

Garden Grill doesn't start serving breakfast until 8:00 so that could be some of the issue as well. When I booked mine at 180+ days out all that was available was 8:40 as well. A couple of weeks ago, I was able to move it up to 8:20.

That's my plan. I'll keep checking back until something earlier shows up.

Another problem everyone seems to be having is the new Rapunzel/Ariel breakfast. It appears all those reservations are going fast.

I was able to snag one the morning they opened for May 5th at 8:45. I got lucky & got it thanks to the advance notice from the Dis before it went down.

I just made reservations for 2018 and when I did the cast member gave me my date that I could make ADR and it was 180 days out - there was no mention of 190 days.

It's not 190 days. Your reservations open at 180 days from the first day of your trip. At that point you can make reservations for up to 10 days of your trip which allows you to book ADRs for your entire stay at one time unless you're staying longer than 10 days. Offsite guests would have to wake up each morning and book their days seperately. The CM gave you the correct date

It depends what time of year you are going, ie a more popular time like free dining, the holidays etc
We never have trouble with ADRs mid August and I don't envy all the people on here who have such troubles during the "peak" times. I'll take the heat and humidity any day over not getting what we want reservation wise.

The advantage to the + 10 is that while onsite/offsite begin on the same day, onsite is allowed to go out up to 10 days from there, but offsite has to wait until the next morning for the 2nd day of the visit. Meaning, onsite could grab the really hard to get reservations before offsite is ever allowed access to those days even though the reservation time frame is exactly same.

It might not sound like a big deal, but for the difficult reservations it initially gives onsite the upper hand. Since I find people are constantly in flux for dining and such, alot of the times you are able to get what you want even at a later date; as long as you are willing to put in the time it takes.

Yes, thank you, that makes sense. We had a heck of a time getting everything we wanted staying onsite last time we went, but we did keep checking back and finally got everything. it's so hard to predict.
