1800 Flowers Work At Home Opportunity (Select States)

Do you know if this is a 24 hour operation? For instance, during Gold Rush times, do they have the call centers taking calls from midnight to 8am?

Thanks,

KC:)

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't think too many people would be calling between those hours to order flowers (even at peak time). I would guess that the hours are daytime/evening hours, but you could always apply and then ask during the phone interview :)

How soon did you get the phone interview set up? Applied and have not heard a thing:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Well, but a 1-800 line would be getting calls from all across the US, into Canada and Alaska and Hawaii, I would think - when I worked for CompuServe in CS, we ran a 24 hour operation. I'd love a 3rd shift job doing this, I think . . .

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP, I had my phone interview today & was hired! This will defn give us some extra Disney $!

what was the phone interview like? Mine is scheduled for tomorrow. TIA!:thumbsup2

Good Luck!

It was regular "why do you want to work from home", "what are your top 3 qualities", "what kind of customer service interaction have you had".

Be advised you do need a dedicated phone line. Mine is being installed on Friday - just a basic bare bones line without long distance. I am getting charged $50 to install & $9.00 a month for the line charge.

I hope you get it!

I also had to phone interview today and got hired:cool1:
They didn't really ask me many questions. The lady interviewing me kept forgetting what she just said and I kept reminding her. She ask me how I handled a previous customer complaint and I told her I never had one. Next thing you know she was talking about the pay and scheduling and told me I was hired. I just finished up the paper work. i have to go to my bank tomorrow to get one page notorized and I'll send it out.
In the paperwork it states....
"I understand that all calls made and/or received on my phone while logged into the 1800flowers.com switch must be only for company business use. All calls made and received from my telephone will be charged to 1800flowers.com and not to my personal phone account. The telephone must not be used for personal calls".
Does this mean they pay for your 2nd line? I think I'm a bit confused on that.

Thanks for posting this - I just applied & have a phone interview scheduled for Wednesday!
How did you get the phone interview? My husband who is extremely qualified and has tons of phone experience filled out the application a few days ago and hasn't heard anything. BUMMER.

Yeah I was a little iffy on that, the lady who I spoke to did say if you had to make a long distance call for the company on your line that you would be full reimbursed, but they did not cover the cost of the actual line.

I applied online, it took me straight to the online training, after I completed that (it maybe took 45 min) it asked me what time/date I wanted my telephone interview. Did he do the online training/testing part?

What a great opportunity. I was a florist and this would be so my thing. We do not have a high speed connection out here in the boonies. LOL

Good Luck to everyone applying.Enjoy the "gold" hour days!!

So what is the pay? Most of the calls will be inbound calls right?

How the pay works is you get $7.00 plus incentives. My trainer told me that beginners usually earn a an xtra $3.00 per hour for that. Your first 90 days you do get $10.00 per hour will no incentives so you can learn to upsell and things.
Yes, almost 99% of the calls are inbound

So what do you do from there, I have an interview today at 11:30am. So if your hired I guess you have paperwork to fill in and send back from the sounds of it and then you start?

Also was the trainer/interviewer ok with you not having a standard phone line to begin with, I'll be getting mine this week if hired.

The interviewer told me that I was hired as soon as I could confirm a 2nd phone line was going to be installed, I got off the phone with her, called the phone company & they are coming out tomm to install. Then I called the interviewer back and an hour later I had the paperwork in my email. I am off to the bank to get it notarized now & mail it out! She did tell me next weeks training class was full but the following week might still have availability.

Katie,
Is there anything else you could share with me. I'm pretty excited about this if it works out. Did she give you typical work "hours", etc. Are they a 24/7?
I one of those that has tons of questions about a new job so anything you can share would be great. Thanks!! Goodluck!
