But only for access to the phone agents. People starting their stays 90 days from Oct. 27 are staying in late January. Only people staying at the same time compete for the same ADRs. The people staying in February will also be able to call on Oct. 27 with the change, but they want ADRs for dates in February. So, no ADR competition for the January folks....just phone lines.
Unless I'm missing something obvious- wouldn't be the first time
Cheers.

You'r right...the only issue will be getting someone on the phone/getting online.
The only thing you might have missed is that those staying on-property will now also be in actual competition that day with those staying off-property, since 90+10 won't mean anything when compared with 180+0.
Well, that and the fact that the +10 will be useless for several months' worth of travelers. That may very well have an effect on people, especially those going at peak times, in trying to get the difficult ADRs.

). Many nuances to learn...but a great place to do it.The way I have always thought of that one is like this - "I'm planning a WDW trip. Where would I like to eat on that trip?" I can answer that question without thinking about *when* the trip is, whether it's 90 days or 180 days, or the week after next.As for not knowing where you want to eat 6 months in advance, I don't know where I want to eat tomorrow, so it is just as tough for me to make a decision at 90 days as it is at 180 days.
That would be me. How did I get so lucky?I do feel for those of you whose 90 day window falls on Oct. 27, though....talk about getting the short end of the stick...
It's not that I'm a lazy planner, or not as excited as others...it's just what it is.
I have some clients at work that will be thrilled as well!Disney COULD restore the +10 benefit with the switchover if they allowed resort guests the ability to book 180 out 10 days prior to non-resort guests...but I guess they didn't think of that.
Has there REALLY been an official announcement yet? I know what it says on wdwinfo, allears and every other site along with the CMs, but I haven't seen DISNEY say it yet...I don't want to update the main ADR calculator until it is confirmed...
There was an announcement on the weekly email newsletter sent out by allearsnet yesterday....
How does everyone else feel about it???
If you can't find the announcement, it's on the DISboards main page that links to here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining.htm
It also mentions park hours will be released 180 days in advance also and it does say that 180 days will begin on October 27, 2009 so...
... if your check-in date is currently on January 24, 2010 or earlier, you can begin to make ADRs on October 26, 2009 and earlier- for whatever the 90-day mark is for your vacation.
... if your check-in date is currently between January 25, 2010 and April 25, 2010 you can begin to make ADRs on October 27, 2009.
... if your check-in date is currently on April 26, 2010 or later you will be able to make ADRs at 180-days from your check-in date.
Here's a link to a calculator to help you figure out when your 90-day or 180-day mark is:

Yayyyyyyyy!!!
This is an Obsessive Disney Planner's dream come true! I'm so excited... I'm going to be able to book ADRs for my January trip in October AND ADRs for my April trip... in October!![]()

My 90+ 10 falls on October 25th. Shewww I lucked out cuz you are right it looks like a bad deal if your day falls on the 27th. I do have one dumb question as there were no online reservations the last time I went. When Booking online can I book all 7 days of ADR's on October 25th? How dose the website know when my check in day is?
