How nice you were able to ride Dumbo with thoughts of your mother, holding the Little Prince! :goodvibes Stitch looks so cute in that Jack Skellington hat! Can't wait for more fun!

You are ALWAYS invited anytime. Well, as long as those adorable children of yours are in tow. ;) I need an extra little prince to adore and a little princess to dress up. :goodvibes

I do blame you for the whole vow renewal idea. It is YOUR fault. ;) Or at least that is what I plead to dh when he looks at me like I am growing a second head when I start to lay out the costs. :rotfl:

Smiling...well of course I would bring my two little sweeties!! I can not wait for our little guys to meet!!!! Think of all the cute photos I will get!!! :goodvibes

Now......I will plead the 5th when it comes to this whole vow renewal idea!! Nope not my fault. Nope not my fault. I take no credit or responsibilty, real or imagined!!! Hahahaha.

Ohh I loved seeing the pictures of you two on Dumbo. What a special memory and moment for you. Who knows, maybe your Mom was right there riding with you!!!! I am so sorry your Mom wasn't able to meet all your little guys but I believe she sees them and is watching over them (and you) from Heaven!! :cloud9:

It really is fantastic how well you and the other family get along, the children look like the best of friends :goodvibes
They really are. We are very blessed by their friendship.

You planned such a wonderful day for your family and friends! I loved every detail.....simply wonderful. :thumbsup2

I choked up about your memories of your mother. That was very sweet.
I loved planning every detail. Only a detail addict would get excited about doing it, but for me, planning was a whole lot of fun! I wish I was planning another dream day right now! :cloud9: :thumbsup2

I was choked up too...doing it, thinking about it, writing it. I will always cherish that moment.

How nice you were able to ride Dumbo with thoughts of your mother, holding the Little Prince! :goodvibes Stitch looks so cute in that Jack Skellington hat! Can't wait for more fun!
I know, I LOVED that hat on him. If it would have had any chance of fitting at all (it was adult size, we had to prop it just right for it to not fall down over his face for a few seconds so I could take the picture)I would have gotten it for him (if he wanted it or not! :rotfl2: ).

That Dumbo ride was a highlight of the trip for me. I am such a sap, but really, it's the little moments. The unplanned ones just as much (or maybe even more)those that have been planned out always seem to turn out to be my favorites of each trip.:cloud9:

Yes! Our little ones will all have to meet soon. :goodvibes

And YES the vow renewal IS your fault. I blame you. That's my story and I am sticking to it! ;)

And thanks for what you said about my mom. :cloud9: :lovestruc

Day 5...Mini MNSSHP update

I forgot to include a very special character meeting yesterday. Actually, I didn't forget, I thought the picture was too blurry to make it worth including...but in remembering our trip, I decided the memory was too precious not to make it into the trip report.

While we were busy enjoying all that Tomorrowland had to offer, we came upon Buzz Lightyear. Knowing how much our bitty one loved the statue of him at DTD we had to stop. There simply was, NO choice. ;)

As we waited in line (we only had two families in front of us), it was hard to keep our Little Prince in my arms! I had to hand him off to dh because I was honestly afraid that I was going to drop him...he was wriggling and wiggling as hard as he could to get out of my arms and closer to Buzz Lightyear. The entire time he was also letting out squeals of delight. It was such a cute moment (and if I hadn't been so worried I was going to drop him, I would have thoroughly enjoyed it).

Dh made fun of me for saying I couldn't keep him still. He laughed all the way up until the moment that our Little Prince started squirming and worming his way out of dh's arms as well. You wouldn't believe how strong our Little Prince is! We surely didn't!! That little guy was on a mission...to reach Buzz Lightyear any way possible...I guess he was up for that even if it meant twisting and turning out of our arms, flopping on to the hard ground below and then pulling himself over to Buzz. Seriously, I thought he was going to hyper ventilate on top of it all.

So, you now have the picture of him in line waiting for Buzz. He was yearning with every inch of his body toward Buzz, squealing with delight, yelling out toward him every now and again "AHHHHH, AHHHHH, AHHHHHH" and breathing very shallow, rapid breathes.

Actually to really get a picture of him, imagine a young girl, a huge Jonas Brothers fan, trying to restrain herself behind a rope as Nick, Joe and Kevin walk within a foot of her. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: That just about gets you to his level of excitement at seeing Buzz Lightyear! Just about. ;)

Once we got up there, he was so excited that I think he may have even stopped breathing for a few seconds! He reached out his arms toward Buzz and then he gasped and drew in a big breath of air... I was in awe of his awe. :hyper: I have never seen anybody so excited over another "person" in my life!

Lucky for us, Buzz was great about taking a few minutes to interact with us. And what I mean by "us" is mainly our Little Prince. I don't know how many times the two of them drummed there fingers on each other. Or just how many hugs were exchanged...but I am willing to guess it was in the high double digits if you add the two of those up.

Here is the very blurry picture (where is my own personal photographer when I need her?! ;) ). Not only could our Little Prince not look away from Buzz...it seems that Buzz was having trouble looking away from him as well. ;)
wddw08143.jpg

Lucky for our other boys, he did eventually break from his adoration fest with our Little Prince and give out a few more high fives all around. Look at the look on our little guys face...he was just about to take in another big gasp of air and was also in the process of reaching out to try and spin Buzz back around toward him. :jumping2:
wddw08142.jpg

Although I didn't get any good pictures of this character meet, I do have a good excuse, I was just so very into watching my littlest guy turn into a pile of hyper ventilating mush that I didn't have photo snapping on my mind...and when I did finally remember to try and snap a couple, they didn't really turn out great because I was still paying attention what was going on vs. taking pictures of it.

And that is my mini update. Sorry it's "out of order" but I just couldn't skip sharing such a sweet moment because of my lack of photography skills. I tried to move on and write another installment about what happened next...but I kept being drawn back to this character meet and greet.

SO...thanks for putting up with my bad photos and allowing me to share one of my most special moments. :)

First and foremost let me say..WOW!!! I enjoyed reading the entries on your MAGICAL days at Disney. There is no better place to go than WDW in my opinion. When you go, well it's entirely different than anything you've ever done. So much to do and there's something for everyone.

Also, let me say a HUGE thank you for the entries and the photos :) I enjoyed seeing the Lego's, especially the dogs. And that Castle...Oh my goodness---I can't imagine ANYONE paying $37,000..but then again. Sounds like you had a wonderful time, besides the little mishap in your room.

Again, thank you for sharing :)

I'm so glad you included the Buzz encounter - even if the pictures were not as good as you would have liked them to be!

What a special moment! I bet the other families standing in line were enjoying watching the LPs excitement as well, I know I would have! :goodvibes

That was so adorable!!! Chubby baby cheeks are the best! Kitty gets really excited when he watches Monsters Inc. so I just KNOW he would not be able to contain himself if he ever saw Sully! It's cute because whenever he sees Sully, Stitch or Chicken Little on the tv (whether it's the Disney channel or a dvd that's playing) he just does this HUGE gasp and gets all excited! So I know exactly what you mean when you say how you get excited seeing his excitement!

Also I have to say that MNSSHP is my favorite!!! I think the parade just makes the whole night! Also when me and my older sister were down there recently we had zero lines as well! I think the longest line we had was for Soarin' and with FP it was still about 15 minutes!

Can't wait to read more!

The picture is great!! We get to be apart of the little Nugget's first voyage into being a groupie!! I LOVE when little one's get that excited over a character. DD was like that for Roger Rabbit -- we searched for him for days and spotted him on our very last day on the way out of MK when she was three. I honestly thought she was going to pass out!

I could almost hear the Nugget saying "Mine, Mine, Mine" when Buzz turned away for the brief moment!! :rotfl:

Thanks for sharing that, Jay. Loved it!

This is one of the most precious stories of the Little Prince yet! :cloud9: I love how enamored he was with Buzz, what a cutie!

I loved that story of Little prince with Buzz. Isn't it funny that with all the wonderful things you did that day, sometimes what you remember most are the little moments like that. I still vividly remember my DS's reaction to Piglet when he was one - he grabbed onto his arm and wasn't ever going to let go! Keep up the great story - this is way better than the novel I'm reading.popcorn::

How cute was that story about your Little Prince and Buzz! I would also have been torn between wanting to get pictures of it all and then wanting to just watch. I am so hoping my DD & DGS joins me on my trip in December (he just turned 1 last month). Your little Prince is precious! (so glad Buzz was so attentive to him - you gotta love those characters  )

Oh goodness! the Little Prince and Buzz are just too cute!! how wonderful that he wasn't scared of them at all!

Hey there! I am hoping your user name means you love the CoP in Tomorrowland! I ADORE that ride...the "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" song is such a great Disney song. I am often found singing it at random throughout our vacation and the weeks after I return home. ;) Welcome!

Yes, I am publically showing my love for the ride. I absolutely love it. I make my DH go on it with me when no one else will.

What a lovely update, I can just see your Little Prince wriggling with excitement, how cute! And how wonderful that Buzz gave him some extra special treatment :goodvibes

Hi jaycns! Somehow I'm a month late to this party! I'm getting caught up - and can't wait to hear about your trip. I love the pics at the beginning when you first arrived - those happy faces are priceless!

Ok - off to get caught up...:surfweb:

Thank you for reading! I know, that castle's price tag is jaw dropping! And I really think those Lego's are amazing. Especially the dogs, which are my personal favorites too. :) Thanks for reading along!

Jay - None of your photos are bad. :)

Thanks for sharing all your most special moments with us. :goodvibes
Ha ha ha. I only wish I was better at photography. I just get so excited and in the moment that I don't know what button I am pressing. Really though, I just need to learn more about my cameras and how to operate them so that when I get overexcited about our happy moments, I can still take a clear picture. ;)

I'm so glad you included the Buzz encounter - even if the pictures were not as good as you would have liked them to be!

What a special moment! I bet the other families standing in line were enjoying watching the LPs excitement as well, I know I would have! :goodvibes
I couldn't tell you if there were even people still in line (I am sure that there were). I was just so caught up in the moment of watching him watch Buzz.

What a GREAT story! never mind the photos aren't perfect.
I thought it was far too special of a moment not to inlcude it. I am glad you agree. ;)

The parade does make the night! And that is the part that is up next in my trip report!:thumbsup2

Really, Roger Rabbit?! HA HA HA. I remember him. ;) Do you have a picture of her meeting him?

This is one of the most precious stories of the Little Prince yet! :cloud9: I love how enamored he was with Buzz, what a cutie!
Did it remind you of meeting Roger Rabbit? ;)

Thanks for the sweet compliment. I loved that moment with him...and it is very funny how no matter what you have planned...sometimes life's best moments sneak up on you in the most unexpected of ways.

Here's for hoping that you ge to enjoy seeing your DGS see the characters in December! I think it's Disney magic at it's best when you see a little one you love seeing it all for the first time!

Oh goodness! the Little Prince and Buzz are just too cute!! how wonderful that he wasn't scared of them at all!
Not one time the entire trip was he even remotely afraid of any of the characters.

Yes, I am publically showing my love for the ride. I absolutely love it. I make my DH go on it with me when no one else will.
I love it too! What a great ride. I always crack up when the dad burns the turkey.

What a lovely update, I can just see your Little Prince wriggling with excitement, how cute! And how wonderful that Buzz gave him some extra special treatment :goodvibes
No where else is so full of the "little extras" that make Disney the place I want to visit again and again.

HELLO THERE!! It's great to see you! We were so excited at the start of the trip (I was only missing AKL a tiny bit ;) ).

Day 5...MNSSHP Continues!

Ahhh...those magical fireworks really set the tone for the rest of our evening. We made our way over to the Liberty Square area to stake out a prime parade watching spot. We had about 30 minutes before the parade was set to begin. Dh and the Dmom/Ddad of our friend's family wanted to take a load off of their feet, so I handed our little one off to dh and left them to "guard our spots". While they staked out our parade watching spots, grabbed the other six kids and headed off for a quick ride through pirate infested waters. I was so happy that we could cut through the restroom throughway area instead of having to go around the hub and all the way around! To fight the masses of people making there way through the hub to leave would have been next to impossible!

We had a fun ride and made it back to our parade watching spot with about five minutes to spare (even after a bathroom break). As we lined up to watch the parade, we broke into the peanut butter and sugar cookies that we had packed up from our dessert party on the yacht. None of us had eaten since then and we were all more than a little bit hungry by this time. Here is Stitch waiting for the parade to begin.
GOODWDWcamera199.jpg

And our Little Prince still awake and waiting for the fun to continue.
GOODWDWcamera198.jpg

Just a few short minutes later we heard someone coming...
GOODWDWcamera203.jpg

It was the headless horseman!
GOODWDWcamera196.jpg

The parade was on it's way! I think MNSSHP, Boo to You Parade is Disney's very best parade!

Somebody was enjoying the parade!

Even dh likes this parade!

Our pirate crew was happy to see the arrival of these pirates!

Especially him!
GOODWDWcamera215.jpg

It's hard to believe it was so late at night! Look at the wide eyes on our littlest party goer.
GOODWDWcamera201.jpg

I always marvel that they have a dog well trained enough to walk through the middle of such large crowds!
GOODWDWcamera216.jpg

Beautiful yet spooky!

Day 5...The Finish

And not the best pictures, but I really love the troop of grave diggers (or whatever they are, the HM guys). When they run over and shout "BOO!" or especially when they drag their shovels along the ground creating sparks...they just send happy shivers up your spine!
GOODWDWcamera220.jpg

GOODWDWcamera221.jpg

GOODWDWcamera222.jpg

I am not sure why, but this picture cracks me up and it sends my mind to the gutter.
GOODWDWcamera224.jpg

GOODWDWcamera226.jpg

GOODWDWcamera225.jpg

The villains!
GOODWDWcamera229.jpg

GOODWDWcamera230.jpg

Another one of my favorite parts of the parade...the skeleton rockers!
GOODWDWcamera228.jpg

GOODWDWcamera227.jpg

And finally...there were people handing out candy and Goofy on his candy mobile. And when I say handing out candy, I mean dumping handfuls of it into the kids' bags.
GOODWDWcamera231.jpg

When the parade ended we were off...we made our way Frontierland, it was time for some serious riding! While dh and everyone else headed for a ride on BTMRR, I changed the LP's diaper and then found a quiet corner to feed him and rock him to sleep. Once he was asleep, I nestled him into his stroller and made my way to the BTMRR exit. Just about the time I arrived, they were walking off. I traded with dh and took a double ride without getting off (they let us ride it twice in a row!) with our friends and the big boys. After our double ride we said goodnight to our friends.

It was here that our plans diverged. They were going to ride BTMRR a few more times while we had a date with a crafty rabbit. I think this is another reason our families vacation so well together, when we have differing wants/needs we simply split up instead of one of us giving up doing what we really wanted to be doing. After telling them we would see them again tomorrow, we made our way over to the granddaddy of all rides (at least to me), SPLASH MOUNTAIN! WOO HOO!:woohoo: I love this ride! I love it even more at night. I love it most at night with no lines! And that is just what we had! Splash Mountain practically to ourselves, at night!

Dh took the boys on their first ride through the briar patch while I waited with our sleeping prince...and then it was my turn! I kissed dh goodbye and practically skipped off to my very own laughing place! Not only did we not have any sort of a wait what so ever, we were able to stay on the ride THREE rides in a row! I was in my very own happy place for sure! The clock struck midnight as we singing our way through the briar patch.

It was a very peaceful last ride. Nobody else was in the log with us. We could see the lights from all over the park as well as some of the surrounding resorts as we floated along at the top of the ride (at the start of the ride). And right before the big drop, we could see Cinderella's castle all lit up! It felt as if Disney had painted a beautiful picture with light just for us to see. It was the perfect ending to a dream filled day!

When we returned to dh and our LP, I snapped a picture of the LP sleeping so soundly in his stroller. One last time, let me point out how adorable the Nightmare Before Christmas outfits were! MouseTriper did a great job! *THANK YOU MOUSETRIPER!*
wddw08156.jpg

As we tiredly made our way to the monorail (we were still parked at the GF since our dream day of surprises had started there) I snapped a few last pictures.
wddw08160.jpg

wddw08154.jpg

And finally this last picture. Although it's not "great"...it is the last picture that passed before my eyes as I was falling asleep that night. :cloud9:
wddw08155.jpg

Up next: Another day of fun at the Magic Kingdom!

TO BE CONTINUED...
