Wow, Tracy it sounds as if you have a super-hectic life! Congrats on handling the day-to-day of 6 kids and your DH!
And a 6 pound loss on top of that --you go girl!!!
west--the low-fat/low-cal stuff I try to keep on hand is:
popcorn kernels for my popper (low density but tastes great!) about 30 cals /1 cup
watermelon--so full of water, it really fills you up (1 cup of diced cubes about 45 calories)
ff crumpets (sort of the texture of an airy pancake) 60 cal 1 cake
Laughing Cow cheese--love this stuff 35 calories / 2 g fat in one wedge
1 piece of low fat/cal bread with 1 pc of sliced melted cheese (or ff eng muffin)
Dannon Light & Fit yogurt--60 cal per serving
blueberries, raspberries or blackberries--50 blueberries=40 cal, 50 raspberries=50 cal, blackberries-1 cup=60 cal
Reduced fat vanilla wafers
Thanks for the heads up on the OR cakes, I was buying the Quaker kind and they are 60 calories a cake so that an extra 20 cals I can save!
Anyone know of a good low cal/low fat soup that isn't loaded with sodium? I've wondered about the Healthy Choice soups but haven't tried them yet...
I run a daycare center that is attached to my home so it keeps me busy, but the willpower is something I need to work on. However, I'm convinced that if I can make it thru one day with no cheating (hopefully today) that more will follow. I've done it in the past, just need to stick to it.
I took everyone's advice and have made up some portioned small snacks (baby carrots, celery, an apple cut into slices w/lemon juice on it) so that if I do feel like I want to take a bite of something, the healthy stuff will be right there.
Did pretty good today, tried taking a class for the 1st time since joining our area gym almost 3 1/2 years ago. I normally just do my own routine of cardio & weights but I tried a spinning class. All I can say is that it hurts to sit down so hopefully that will result in something good to my butt if I keep going!

Strep would have been so much easier. But every day is getting alittle better with the pain level.
Hoping to challenge you for that title but I will never be the runner you are
Need to face the music tomorrow.
My DH would have me committed if I try. Arthritis in both that was so bad I am no allowed to carry heavy things up and down stairs. For a while I couldn't do stairs at all.
After a year of therapy much much better - can take stairs like anyone else but running
Babysitting or
Poor pup something didn't agree with him. He is acting better now and making it outside but not eating. That is probably a good thing right now.
OR do a yoga tape. Also make some chicken soup, pick colors to paint the kitchen (that is not as easy as it sounds - DH and I NEVER EVER agree on decorating so my walls are bare) and laundry - whew
Have you ever had your feet checked? During my year long therapy for my knees it was determined that I pronate way too much which made my knees turn in and not be level aggravating the arthritis. They gave me orthodicts (which insurance paid for) and I can't tell you what a difference it has made.
Not good. Dave had to start digging around the pipes. He pulled out some of those cottonelle wipes, at the first part but it was still clogging. He went across the street to borrow his friends John Deere that has a back hoe attachement. 7 hours later I have a trench running half way around the house. We can't seem to find the septic tank. How hard can it possibly be. Now we are renting this house, so he is going to talk to the landlord today. I just hope we don't get this bill. Anyway, when the tractor is coming over, my sons Christopher and Jonathan are all hyped up. They want a John Deere tractor. Dave wants a John Deere too, but that would greatly damper my quest to go to Disney as much as possible.
