A week of TOM is better than 9 months without him! ;)
I so need to join in on this. I started at 207, and am down to 185. I've been stuck there for a month. I HAVE to be in the 150s by our DW trip in early December!! :bounce:

Sounds like you are doing great! Congrats on you 22 pounds lost! That is super!

Debra

Welcome Susan!!!! Congrats on the weight loss!!! And I'll take your word for it.

WELCOME Susan...what an adorable picture!!! Your kids are precious! Come on in!!! There are lots of us stuck around where you are so let's kick it and get down there!!! Hey come on...that was my ONLY perk of being pregnant was not having to see tOM! (Oh, well, and getting a precious babe in the end!) ;) And then of course the breastfeeding helped keep TOM away for longer...my last two babes were born 13 months apart so I literally went almost 20 months without TOM ( oh and yes you can get pregnant while breastfeeding! :))...okay, now I totally digress!

Oh! And Lisa!! THat back pain will help you handle delivery SOOO well...after my bouts with bedridden back flare-ups...when I had my babies folks were amazed at how well I handled the pain...it took 36 hours of full pitossin (sp?) to get from 0-4 cm and 20 minutes to jump from 4-10...no one believed I had progressed that far and I almost popped the baby out right there to prove to them....the good thing about delivery pain is that when it's OVER it's OVER! I really had NO pain after that baby made it's journey through. Back pain just takes weeks/months to end! So that's one good thing you can say about your back miseries...it makes you TOUGH! : )

Okay gang...I have been SOOO bad this weekend!! TOM Is hitting me with a vengeance of cravings...I'm feeling so bloated...yesterday had slimfast for bk, hot dog for lunch and small doritos bag...then the kids let me try their cotton candy (had a fair like thing going on at church so it was fresh cotton candy, I haven't had that in YEARS..it brought back so many memories of state fairs and all that)...then I had the surprise party...best dutch botercake I've ever made (first one) had to have a slice, had to taste the homemade texas style banana pudding (GREAT), had to have 2 slices of pizza after watching 9 children last night (our gift to the surprised gal was to watch her kids...all angels...but between her kids, mine and a few thrown in my husband and I were busy!) then I had to have 4 of these GREAT bacon wrapped chestnut app's baked in chili sauce/brown sugar/mayo sauce...YUM! And I had a full size coca-cola!!! I did throw in a few strawberries for good measure...and then this I was still full so skipped breakfast but then the app came back strong and had a cheeseburger and onion rings for lunch...then leftover chocolate chip dessert...UGH!!! Okay, I'm done...nuff TOM eating for one weekend..how will I ever lose weight for this wedding...okay, I confessed, and I'm going to slimfast for breakfast and get some yard work done!

Ah...losing weight can be a challenge....TOM can be a bear...and we atleast have each other to laugh off these kinds of days!!! And will I EVER be drinking my water!!! 26 miles to go this week....walking MTWHFS...and off Sunday...WHEW!!!

It is like we are living identical lives! :rotfl: We had cotton candy at our church VBS fair last night! AND I did have a bag all to myself! I was the first one in line, don't you know!

We all have off days. But it is a new week and time to get back on track! That fresh cotton candy sure is good though! I don't regret it at all. Just glad is it a rare occasion that we have something like that available.

Debra

Debra!!! :rotfl:

I really couldn't believe how GREAT that was!! Mine was pink (what was yours?) I only had 1/2 a bag because I didn't want my 6 year old crying I ate all her cotton candy! I hinted I was going to eat the rest of it and she said, "Mommy, you can have it all." and I about did! :) The kids always complain I never let them get cotton candy because they see the packaged kind at Blockbuster and I never let them get that...it just doesn't taste as good and cotton candy should be fresh like a strawberry smoothie...:)

It really took me back down memory lane to riding the ferris wheels, playing those hit the duck games, oh you name it!!! Food can be FABULOUS at capturing memories! :)

Well, mine was blue (which I like), but later when my DD got hers they had switched to pink, so I had some of her.

I couldn't help myself, you just don't get fresh cotton candy that often, and it was FREE too! So how could I say No? :flower:

BTW, 1 ounce has 105 calories, and our bags only had 1 ounce them in, so it wasn't too bad.

Debra

Have I posted this link before? If not, this is a great link for checking calories (for those of you counting calories):

http://www.calorieking.com/foods/?partner=cmwm

It even lets you 'resize' what they list as a portion and will give you an updated calorie count. It has been a VERY helpful site for me since I am basically counting calories as a way to lose weight (this is where I found the number of calories in cotton candy).

The garage sale is over and I got rid of a lot of clothes, the last part of the day Sat. I did a 2 for 1 sale just to get rid of it. I sold most of the larger toys and 3 large totes of baby clothes. All unsold items are going to a local charity, I don't want it back in my house and would like to help someone in need.

Eating went much better yesterday and today. I had tuna fish w/FF mayo on a low carb wrap and FF potato chips yesterday for lunch. Much better than Wendy's. This morning we took the dog for a walk before it got to warm.

Welcome Susan, enjoy the support of this great group.

Lisa - I am glad to hear you liked the nutritionist, hopefully she can help you get on and stay on the right track for weight loss.

I didn't do any formal exercise, but spent all day putting the furniture from my family room on the deck, and tearing up the carpenting and pad. DD2 is painting the room light peach. We are going to put down a hardwood floor as soon as it is painted and then we get to move the furniture back in.

Because of this, I will be skipping work tomorrow even though it would be much easier to sit behind a desk than move furniture. Everything has to be finished by Thurs am.. My body feels like ti was hit by a steamroller. Not sure if my knees can take puttping the new floor down. It's amazing what can be accomplished when 3 sturborn females put the heads together.

Eating yesterday and today wasn't as bad as it could have been. Had Little Ceasar pizza for supper both nights. Mom and I split a 7" sub for lunch and we had potato chips. For some reason, I couldn't seem to drink enough water. Soda didn't even sould good. It may have had something to do with the 90 degree temps and all the hard work.

Need to get my beauty rest so I can abuse my body again tomorrow. Three days of sleep after surgery are lookint better and better. :cool1: :cool1:

i willl check in tomorrow.

Glad your yard sale went well. I haven't done one in years! But next May my DDs want to join in with our neighborhood sale, so I told them after spring break is over we can start working on gathering things and getting them priced and ready. They are going to run it themselves and split the money. I hope they can handle it.

Good job on your diet too! Keep it up!

Debra

Phew! I'm wiped! I can barely think! LOL! I went to school today to start cleaning and my lovely body of mine decided that it would like to get up at 6am! I wanted to get to school early, but not before the birds were awake! I cleaned, cleaned, cleaned and will go back tomorrow and then I should be done until school starts. :)

Lisa

Today went fairly well, I didn't get any planned exercise today, but I did spend most of the day cleaning and doing laundry so I rarely sat done today.

In my quest to add a little variety to my diet. I made 2 new things for meals tomorrow. For breakfast, I have 2 egg whites with 2 oz of ham and 1/4 C fat free cheddar cheese with salsa. For lunch I have chicken fajitas with fat free cheese and salsa. I also packed cantelope, grapes and a small apple.

Lisa - Glad to hear that you a getting your room in order for school. When will class start for you?

Debra - Definately a good idea to start getting things together early, this was a last minute garage sale, so things were not as organized as I would have liked.

HOLA Losers!! :flower:

Just got back from Spain!! and look the smilies have changed again :p

Nice country - GREAT time with DD21 but quite an adventure with the language and food.........DD17 probably lost weight again because there wasn't much she would eat. Even me - the most liberal eater in the world was hard pressed to find things that I liked.........interesting cuisine.

Anyway will try to catch up with all the postings. Missed you guys :grouphug:

Linda,
Welcome back! Boy that went fast! Seems like the summer is almost over (tomorrow I have to go to Parent's Orientation for incoming 6th graders at the Middle School---not feeling really happy about this event, but the kids are excited, so we will see).

Did you hold steady with you weight on the trip? It is hard when on vacation isn't it. We are not going away again until fall break in October, so I hope to have some loses over the next couple of month before we head out on our next trip (at which time, I will eat whatever I want  ).

Debra

Linda - welcome back

Debra - good luck with your meeting

Wish I could skip work again today and get teh floor finished. Only have today and tomorrow to get my office cleaned up with the stuff that has deadlines.

Fininshed a little over 1/2 of the new floor. Will work on it again this evening and tomorrow afternoon. If not done by then, hopefully I can talk my brother into finishing it. Don't want to have to wait until shoulder is healed.

Thursday is S-day. Will find out today what time surgery is. I have been waiting to have it since last October. Now I need a couple more weeks to get everything done I want to accomplish. Of course, if it weren't scheduled, I would probably be down on Long Island and still not get anything accomplished.

Need to get headed to work.

Have a great losing day.
