Good Morning Losers!!

Chicago is suppose to hit 80 degrees today!! :sunny:

Had a good news/bad news kind of weekend..........I decided instead of driving to the bank on Saturday I would walk!! Took the long way around and got in 60 minutes WOO HOO!! Bad news is that night went out with a bunch of friends to a pizza place (wasn't my choice to pick:( and caved into to piece. Had one piece of pan pizza then kept nibbling on the goo left in the pan which was sitting right in front of meUGH!!!!!!!!!!

Good news - yesterday drank all my water - watched what I ate and got 30 minutes of exercise in this morning. :flower: :flower:

So today really focusing on the good news trend......going to the doctor after work. See what he says about my lifestyle changes.

Read everyone's posting and WAY TO GO TEAM :cheer2: :cheer2:

Keep Moving and Keep Losing!!

Hang in there and Happy Monday!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Have a magical Disney Day!!

Regina...yeah!! Spring has sprung and you've got some fun things planned ahead...camping is a great way to lose weight! :) I love all those early morning hikes and nature trails! :) Cedar Point sounds like fun, too...never been there!

Kathy!!! LOok at you GOoooooo!!!! WOW!!! You know with that great activity there is no way you won't be fit through summer!!! AWESOME job on the bike!!! What kind did you get? I've been looking for bikes and can't decide on a style...would love to hear how you like yours. And, yes! Go pick out a cool helmet! :)

Linda!! You did GREAT !!! No worries!!! The goo you were eating off the pizza pan is soo much easier to burn off than another slice of pizza with that crust! :) I say go for the goo anyday! :) Plus, that great long walk will be steadily burning those calories....I really believe every now and then our bodies need a shock of eating a bit more than usual...somehow it may make the scales go up the next day but with 3-4 days of on plan eating/exercising the weight comes off more quickly! :) I was pretty bummed about my eating this weekend...a cookout on Saturday AND after eating my good meal at lunch on Sunday I was planning on slimfasting for dinner...but right before I could put it in my mouth...my mother called and said they were doing a cookout!! UGH! So that's two cheeseburgers in two days! I did put lots of lettuce and pickles on it...but after going 100 days with no white bread and having two days of buns, I'm thinking my body is going to rebel! :) But I did walk 12 miles this weekend...so I'm hoping I'll maintain and now I"ve got 3 days to lose before my official weigh in...I'm kicking it up!!! Let's get it in high gear! :)

Good Morning Losers!! :sunny:

Where is everyone? Logged on this morning to read what has been going on and the last post was yesterday morning!! Hope everyone is just out enjoying the nice weather and all is ok. :confused3

Went to face the music at the doctor yesterday and I got a GOLD STAR!!! :cool1: :cool1: My blood pressure is down dramatically, my resting pulse indicates that I have been doing cardio exercise and according to his scale I am down 3 pounds!! WOO HOO!! :cool1:

Told me to keep going and not to worry about the scale moving soooooooooooooooooooooooo slowly ultimately I will get to my goal.

Have you ever wondered why all scales are different. I have 3 different readings right now - at home, WW and the doctor. Which one do I choose?

So I guess I will be the turtle that keeps plodding along.......:):)

This is my last week of erratic workouts........too many appointments and concerts. If it is spring must be time for high school choral concerts :teeth:

So how is everyone doing?

Keep Moving and Keep Losing!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

It is hard when the scales move slow. Hang in there. You are doing great!

As for scale readings, I try to stick to one scale and I go by what it reads for knowing my loses. Right now I am using the scale at WW, but once my prepaid coupons are used up I am going to just go at home (unless I make it to my goal weight and can go for free--I want to lose 20 pounds below my goal weight. At WW, I choose the highest weight for my goal so I could start going for free sooner, so my goal weight is 165 or 163, I want to get to 145 eventually).

I am still doing OK. DH has returned from his conference, so I am back to cooking suppers. Last week was SO much easier with him gone. I thought I would pig out, but that didn't happen at all. I am so proud of myself!

Onward and downward!

Good morning everyone!

Things here have been busy, so I have been unable to post. I think DSis and family will be headed home today as the roof work should be done. Providing the rain holds off. It is so beautiful here. You know what it great? Getting into another pair of jeans and within the week you realize that you can pull them up without doing the wiggle dance. Thanks for the offer on the pants Tara, but I am planning on plowing right through the 18's.

I am glad to see that everyone is doing so well. Keep up the good work and I will check in later. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

I'M BACK..... in the 150's!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

WI went well today and I lost 2.8 pounds which brings me to a 157.2

I've lost 50.8 pounds and claimed my new beautiful 50 pound clippie :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm very excited and don't think I'll be seeing those 160's anymore :teeth:

Your clippie is beautiful!!!! I can't wait until I get to the 150's (but I haven't made it to the 160's yet....but I will!!!).

Congrats! I know it has to be a great feeling! If it were me, I would be dancing!

:jumping1: :jumping1: Yahoo Tera!!!

50 pound clippie!!! And you've sunk yourself deeper into the 150's!!! We're all sooo proud of you!! Our very first 150'er!! :grouphug: No more 160's for you!!! Way to go!!!

Linda...GOLD STAR!!! Those scales might not be going as fast as you'd like...but look at what your heart and health are doing!!! That's a GREAT report!! :cheer2:

DJ...aren't you the smart one!! Having those last 20 pounds be free is a great way to incentivize a new wardrobe at goal!! :) I think 145 is where I should be but I'm going to take a rest once I get to mid 150's and then try to get back down to goal...I'm right there with you!!

Lesli!! As soon as these 14's are too loose to wear in public then I'd love to send them on down!!! :) I've already given all my 16's away..but I do have a pair of navy Jones/New York shorts that are 16's if you'd like those! :) It really helps me to try on smaller clothes and then be amazed when they fit! :)

I feel bloated from all this weekend's cookouts...not to mention the catfish and baked potato and 2 cheddar biscuits I had for lunch...ugh! Just a little taste of "soul food" and my hunger seems to grow...need to spend a few days back on my salads and low carbing...oh..and Murphy's law hit again...we had just had a back door unit replaced and as I was putting the window treatment on it..the glass shattered in a million pieces when I was screwing the fastener into the wood...ugh! hopefully that won't turn off any potential buyers to see a busted door window! :) My grandfather said, if it ain't one thing it's another...boy isn't that true!!! :)

Good Morning LOSERS!! :sunny:

Chicago is losing the 80 degree weather - 50's and rain are moving in:(:( Took advantage last night and went for a 45 minute walk outside. Soooooooo Beautifulllllllllllllll.....

This is a week of doctor appts and other commitments so nothing exciting to report. Weigh in is tomorrow and you know how I dread the EVIL CRAZY  scale............it will probably be another stressful day

One good thing to focus on - there are times in the day when the kids are at specials and I have nothing to do. Yes, I bring a book but these are the times when I get bored and start looking for food.............well the school bag I bring with used to have sourdough pretzel nuggest in it. Took them out 2 days ago and all I have are sugar free mints. THIS IS KILLING ME!! BUT :flower: :flower: I am no longer snacking because of boredom.

How do you fight the urge to eat when you are bored? Huge issue with me....that is why I took up knitting in the evenings while watching TV.

Tara - How is the house selling going? Hang in there!!

Tera - YOU ROCK GIRL!! The way the scale moves for me I will be a senior citizen first :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Keep going - you inspire us all!! :cool1: :cool1:

Lesli54 - Lookin good

How is the rest of the team? Let's hear from you!!

Keep Moving and Losing!!  :cheer2:

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Good morning everyone :wave::wave::wave:

Haven't checked in since the weekend. I haven't been doing very well with either the eating or the exercise. I do fine on weekends, then the stress of the week undoes the good of the weekend.

I am ready to go home and spend some time in my own house and familiar neighborhood. Being in a motel more than home is starting to take its toll. I am still trying to catch up on the outside consulting jobs I'm doing so I work until 11 each night on them. Need some down time.

The hotel has installed all new cardio equipment. Will try to go down and use it after having dinner with some of the girls from the office. take time off from working at night also. Need to get the project done as the auditors will be in to finish up the audit next week. have a good working relationship with their auditor so if I don't get it done, they can still work around it and do the investment audit back at their office rather than onsite.

Need to get headed for work. Meeting with the fund director at 8 and want to get some work done without any interuptions.

ONward and DOWNward :banana::banana::banana:

Company has left and I am up 1 lb. Not too bad considering being thrown off a little on my food plan, TOM and this stupid water retention. Time to get back to normal. I am getting concerned about meeting my goal by DD17's graduation though. I guess if I get close than that is all that matters.

Teresa - Great job on the new clippie and getting further into the 150's! :cheer2:

Tara - Wouldn't it figure that a window would break just when you don't need it to? Hopefully you can get it fixed soon and the house sells quickly. When is moving day? :cool1:

Linda - It is good to see that your doc is happy with your progress. That counts for a lot in my book. How do I fight boredom? I read, I work on genealogy, I used to do counted cross-stitch while watching TV with the family, but have gotten out of that habit, should pick it back up since I have more projects waiting. Anymore, I just keep looking for any little project that needs to be worked on so that I don't think about the food.

Kathy - I think you are doing well at trying to stay OP while being gone from home and working so much. It definitely is hard on the road, but at least you are trying to stay concious of your actions. Keep up the good work. :cheer2:

Everyone have a great day! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Kathy!! Sending you a great big hug!!! :grouphug: I truly believe that just having a goal is half the battle..if I don't make it...I'm not too beat up about it because I know I'll be less than if I didn't have that goal. My goal is 4th of July, and I could feasibly still make it..but I'm going to have to put alot into it...I think these next 20 are going to be a lot harder than the first 20...but I'm with you...even if I just get 10 off by then...I'll be PROUD and stand tall...plus all this eating right and exercising has really boosted my energy. Hope you find a good bike route to go on this weekend...that'll get your fat burning moving! :)

Lesli!! I think only being up a pound with company in is a huge success!! And you know it's mostly water from eating those foods our bodies aren't used to...if you're like me with family it ...everything seems to be loaded with sugar or flour and not the good wheat flour! :) Oh! And don't forget the butter! :) I had a bad weekend...mostly because it was back to back days of off plan foods but I'm doing low carb today to try and flush my system back to reality...hoping it works! :)

And I have to say that WOW I am in worse shape than I thought! I've been doing Oprah's challenge for over 8 weeks I'm sure...I've only had 10 rest days in all that time...and worked out for over an hour 6 days a week...and yesterday I went to the Y to swim laps...I did one breast stroke, one backstroke, one free style, and one "let's see if I can just doggie paddle to complete this darned lap"...I was SACKED!!!! I was really trying to go for 8 laps...but my heart/lungs/body was saying..."DROP TO THE FLOOR AND COLLAPSE!" I guess my abs and legs are really strong from the pilates and miles of walking...but moving all those at once was just a little much. I did finish out the 30 minutes with arm circles and jogging underwater...but boy...pulling these 179 pounds through that water took some MAJOR effort! :)

On a better note, looks like everything is a go for our closing next week April 28th...so I may be out of sorts and no computer for a couple of weeks...I've got to pull together a moving sale this Saturday...start really completely boxing EVERYTHING away...fix that dadblasted window that's shattered...somehow throw a 6 year old a special birthday party..and pray this house sells quickly so I won't have to cancel our May Disney trip...whew!! Wish stress could burn fat! :) I probably won't be able to weigh in next week...wow! first time in 13 weeks that I haven't made a weigh in...so I hope my first weigh in in May will be in our new house in Huntsville and it will be for the 65 pound clippie!! :)

Thanks gang!!! Stay strong and think...nice fitting shorts for summer! :)

Tara

I've been having a pretty down on myself week. Today though, I went running and did situps and all that jazz :goodvibes Tomorrow it's going to be all about what I choose to put in my mouth and WATER! on top of my exercise :)

Lets go! :thewave:

Megan!!! WOW!! You have something to CELEBRATE!!! :cheer2: You are sooo soooo close to Onederland!!! And once you hit the 190's you'll NEVER see the 200's again!!! You're a huge loser because you came here when you felt low and reminded yourself that tomorrow is another day and with exercise, watching what we eat and water...we can make tomorrow a losing day! :) :grouphug: You've managed to lose quite a bit and some weeks we just need a break to let it all sink in and get geared up for the next losing week...so don't despair...we're here for you sweetie!!! :flower:

I'm feeling sacked today...lots to do in one week before we move..I'm clicking my heels and saying, "There's no place like home, there's no place like home, ..." Shoot, that didn't work...anyone out there want to help move us??? :) I should have some strong biceps by next weekend! :)

Keep it real and keep it fit! :)
Tara

Tara - with your determination, you will have no problems getting ready to move. Just remember, your family will be together full time finally. You will have new places to explore on your walks and have DH around to help keep track of the kids so you have some down time.

I did better yesterdsay with food. Went out to eat with 2 girls from the office. Ate chicken tenders and fries, not great but better than chips and dip.
Did break down and have a snickers when I got back to the hotel (guess I needed the junk food).

Have been doing much better with water. Next time I come down, I will bring my own bottled water. Do not like the tase of Poland Spring water.

Have to head for work, will check in tonight.

ONward and DOWNward. :banana::banana::banana:

219.5! :cheer2: :cheer2: When I first stepped on, it said 221 and I was a little discouraged, but something told me to step on again and it read 219.5! Yes, I did check this 3 times, so I am now under 220! :cheer2: Maybe now I will see some wooshing.

Yesterday, I cleaned out the too big clothes and am ready to get rid of them. Also, just out of curiousity, I tried on some others and I can fit into my 18W shorts and look pretty decent! I really need to get motivated for exercise, that is still my biggest problem and I don't know why. Also, I cheated yesterday, had a couple handfuls of chips, 3/4 of a dove chocolate egg, and 2 GS cookies. I think it was a combo of reasons, stress from having had company, being tired, and maybe TOM. Oh well, I have done really good this week with little to no cravings so I will get passed this as well.

Tara - Looks like you have lots to do, but won't it feel so good to get everything into that new house? You should definitely burn some calories with the move.

Megan - Hang in there, you have done so well. Remember the most important thing you can do is get up and keep moving on with your program.

Kathy - Glad to hear that you had a better food day. I too am very picky about water and I blame it on where we lived as a child. Our water was pumped up from an underground stream and was the clearest, coolest, and best water you will ever find. No added tastes from icky minerals. Just refreshing.

Hope everyone has a great day. Looks like it will rain here. We can use it though, humidity during the day is down to 47%, rare around here. Hoping we don't have a dry summer. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Lesli!!! :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO BE THERE SOON!!! You are a losing machine!!! :) Didn't it FEEL GREAT to see that teen number???? I bet you'll have a whoosh and float right through them!! CONGRATS!!! I know you've worked sooo hard for it and it's paying off!!! With the exercise, just start small slow increments...a 15 minute walk daily can turn into a 30 minute walk before you know it...go buy the most comfortable walking shoes you can find and you'll start loving how the scale moves when you add in the exercise! :)

Kathy... :cheer2: You survived the snickers and avoided the chips and dip!! I think that's GREAT!!! It's when I stop worrying about what goes into my mouth that I get into trouble...when you come here and see it in print it saves you from doing it another time...I always say to myself.."Yep, you had a snickers yesterday...did it really make you feel that great? But those smaller pants sliding on will!! :)" YOu CAN DO THIS!!! :)

Hey gang! I'm down 1.5 from last Thursday's weigh in...I'm at 178.5...YEAH!!! I was at 179.0 last Friday so if I had avoided those chocolate chip cookies, brownies, cheeseburgers and apple pies I might be further than a .5 pound loss since then...but I had to walk 16 miles and swim laps to get that .5 pound off!! I don't want to have to work that hard next time....so I'll keep up the pace but try to make it this week without any cheats like I wolfed down last week! ICK!

Onwards & Downwards gang!!

Morning All!! :sunny:

Sun is shining but it is collllllllllllllllld :cold: here.

I was able to get an hour of cardio in yesterday. Trying to stay on plan but of course the evil scale is not moving - therefore making me  Sorry to sound like a broken record.

I read the posts and you all inspire me to keep moving and try losing!! :goodvibes I know I know.........my health is getting better.

You are GREAT!! :grouphug:

Tonight have another choral concert to go to so exercise won't happen. Will focus on eating the right foods. Stopping at the grocery store after work for fresh fruit......yummmmmmmmm

Happy Thursday!! :sunny:

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Today, I am doing quite well. I had a little spaghetti mishap at lunch today, but, I'm forgetting about it. Moving on. I walked for about an hour this morning with my little brother (getting supplies together for our lemonade stand :)) and I just went running FOR 9 MINUTES AND 20 SECONDS! :goodvibes The next time we have to do that stupid 12 minute running thing in gym, I'll be a running machine :teeth:

Lets go losers! :thewave:

Today was a better day food and water wise. Had a corn muffin for breakfast, chef salad w/ lite italian dressing for lunch, 1/2 baked ziti for supper, werthers and snickers for snacks at work and a container of mixed fruit when I got the munchies will working tonight. Water today consisted of between 60 - 70 oz.

Tara - how are you doing with you water?:drinking::drinking::drinking:

I went down to the fitness room and tried out their new equipment. I tried the cross trainer but it bothered my knee, so I went to the treadmill. Only did 15 min before getting supper and starting work. Not really enough to do much good, but it was enough to wake me up.

Have started packing up so I can go home tomorrow. I feel like I could use another 2 weeks here just to finish the projects I have started. It will still be here when I come back down on the 1st of May. Hopefully it won't feel like I am starting over again. It will be nice to be in familiar surroundings for a little while. Haven't been home since April 11. Being home will allow me to weigh in also.

Need to finish packing.
