Morning!! :cold: :umbrella:

The temperature in Chicago has slipped to a high of 48 degrees :cold: :cold: !! What happened to the warm weather? :sad2:

Maintaining is the word of the week. Here I thought it would get easier as my kids get older and it hasn't  Making time for myself and exercise has been really hard the last 10 days. So the focus is carving out time for myself while carving out the fat :rotfl: :rotfl:

Spring choral concerts, doctor appointments, high school spring plays, and just life keeps getting in the way. BUT I am not giving up........so maintaining is the word of the moment.

How is everyone doing?

Kathy - You haven't been home since April 11th!! Yikes!! Bet you can't wait for the comfort of your home :cloud9: You should be very proud of the way you have maintained. Soon you will be able to take off it all off again :Pinkbounc

Twinkles - Even in my best shape I couldn't run 9 mins WOO HOO!! You ROCK! :bounce: :bounce: Keep moving!!

Tara - any nibbles on the home selling front.........still keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. Am I burning calories? :rotfl:

To all my friends - KEEP MOVING!! ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!! :cheer2:

Happy Friday!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Good mornig all :wave::wave::wave:

I get to go home today :cool1::cool1::cool1: It will be good to be in my own bed and in a familiar neighborhood. Hope to be on the road by noon so I can be home by 6. If I get home early enough, I plan to hit the treadmill for another episode of 24. I should just break down and finish watching the last 4 episodes. Good motivation the keep on the treadmill.

Have to get the car loaded an head into work so I can be out of there by noon.

Have a great day, eat healthy and dring lots of water.

Onward and Downward:banana::banana::banana:

Linda...GREAT HOUR OF CARDIO!!! :flower: I love the way the fat seems to melt off during that last half!!! Keep up the great work..you'll have a Whoosh week soon! I have just decided that for the next week I'll have to abandon the Oprah's workout challenge...I know I should try and fit it in, it will help with all the stress...but I've got sooo much to accomplish between now and next Thursday I just don't see how...I may squeeze a 4 mile walk in on Sunday..but I need to reserve my energy for packing as many boxes as I can since my husband will be here to help. So, let's focus together on our eating and get that exercise in when we can and we'll blast through this busy time! ;)

Twinkles!! YUM LEMONADE!!! How did it go? You're going to master those 12 minute runs!!!

Kathy!!! YES Water water water!! I am doing it! I did sneak a swig of Ginger ale the other day...what a shock that sugar was to my system! I much prefer the water....I still haven't bought bottled water for on the go but I plan to....let's keep it up...so glad you're going home and have some Wheeee I can breathe time! :)

So much to do...don't know if I'll be able to check in with you guys until next Friday....so starting today I'm focusing on water, low carbing this week, stretching so I don't throw my back out, long hot baths at night and prayers for a smooth transition to the new house. Keep strong this week guys!!! May is just around the corner...I'll update all the losses next week and report our losing weighs!!! :)

Tara

Good morning!

Nothing lost this week, actually gained 4, but I was bad bad bad! This week, IT SHALL BE DIFFERENT!

My little brother made 6 bucks from his lemonade stand. He was going to split it with me, but I told him he could keep it, because I'm a good big sister :goodvibes

Lets go losers!!!! :cheer2:

Just got back from WW and I am down another 5.4 pounds! YEAH!

Now this is after 2 weeks. I only weigh in every 2 weeks since I am lifetime and only pay for when I go (I have prepaid coupons I am using up, and I should use the last one the morning of the day we fly out to WDW in June--hope to be down another 8 pounds by then for the Summer Challenge).

I am going on a 'date' tonight with my husband, so I do plan to eat. Our twin DDs are going to a slumber party, and we so rarely have time alone (no family here to watch them and we don't use babysitters--just don't want to pay the money for a sitter and to go out).

So hopefully I don't gain everything back tonight, but I am going to enjoy myself (and will be back to being good tomorrow).

Hope everyone had a good week and is ready for the weekend.

The weather here STINKS! We had beautiful days earlier this week and then BAM! It got ugly! Hopefully the sunshine comes back to Indiana soon!

DJ

DJ- Great job !!! 5.4 lbs is awsome. Keep up the Good Work and don't worry about tonight just make sure to get back on plan tormorrow.

Twinkles- We all have had our share of bad weeks, the important this is to not let it get you down and get back on plan ASAP. Keep moving and making smart choices for food.

Today was weigh in for me, unfortunatly I gained .5lbs. I think this is actually water weight and should be gone quickly, since I will be joining the TOM club in the next couple of days.

I have been doing well with my excercise, the only day I took off this week was Wed. the rest of the week I have done 20 min. on the eliptical machine and 10 mins. on the weight machine.

Good morning :wave2:

Beautiful day here today, looking forward to getting outside. Lots of walking and running and all that jazz :goodvibes '

Have a good day :flower:

It is COLD here! We have snow on the ground! Just last week it was 80 degrees and we had the Air Conditioner on!

Well ready to start a new week! I won't see the 160's in April, BUT I think it is possible in May! So onward and downward!

DJ

Good morning everyone! I am feeling much better and getting out of the doldrums (I think it is the fact the sun is shining again). :sunny:

Believe it or not.........I am down to.......217.5!

All the water weight has definitely left and I haven't had much time to eat any big meals lately. I'll take whatever I can get. Only 2.5 lbs. til I get that new clippie and 7.5 lbs til I met my goal for DD17's graduation. I am so excited! Don't know if I will actually get to the goal, but I will be very close.

Tara - Congrats on the lost lbs. I am sure that with all the moving, you will come back to report more lbs. gone!

Linda - Maintaining is much better than gaining. You are just giving your body a chance to lose again. Keep up the good work. :cheer2:

Megan - Just keep moving and concentrating on eating healthy and the slip will go away quickly and you will be back on track soon. We all have those bad weeks, but as long as you stay focused on the prize you'll will get to where you want to be. :flower:

Kathy - Hope you are enjoying being at home again. Now when is that trip to WDW? You sure need some time to relax. ;)

Westjones - Congrats on 5.4 lbs!  That is AWESOME! DH and I rarely get to go out on a date either. There are very few people that I would actually let babysit my children. The older ones are often busy, so leaving everyone at home doesn't happen much either. Hope you enjoyed spending time with your DH. :flower:

Regina - That .5lbs will disappear soon. Just keep up the great job on exercising. :cheer2:

Everyone have a great day and make sure you drink plenty of water! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Ok, who sent the the cold weather my way. Westjones I am in the same situation as you; last week it was 80 degrees, today there is enough snow on the ground to cover the grass.

The .5 lbs is gone with more weight to follow.

Yesterday we went clothes shopping and I was able to but size 18/20, when I started in January I was in a size 22. So yesterday was a happy day for me.

Goood luck to everyone and hope we have another good week of losing.

That is super!!! Congrats! Isn't it fun moving into a new size!

Today, when I was getting dressed for church, I put on a pair of dress pants (the ones I wore on our Disney Cruise in December the week before Christmas). They were really baggy!

I'm not ready to run out and buy new clothes yet. They didn't fall off ;) , so I am going to wait a while longer before I get new ones. But it was very strange having them hang on me like that, when on the cruise they fit just exactly (with no room to spare).

These little things help to keep you going along the way.

Last quick reply before we go into MOVE IT zone...

I just had to check in and get some encouragment from you guys!!! Ugh, snow???? It was 77 on Friday and last night's low was 36!!! Ick! But thankfully we have no snow. Great job on the losses I'm reading!! That is GOOD NEWS!!!

My eating has been all over the charts...don't really think I've over eaten but without a fridge and no pantry foods..we're stuck with getting things on the go...I did buy some fruit so that's helping...it was our last time to go to our church this morning..really had no prior knowledge that I would turn into a weeping willow there! First, they played a song that I first learned there (3 years ago) and is my all time favorite of all the songs they sing "Better than one day in your house, better than one day in your courts, better than one day in your house than thousands elsewhere...." Maybe it was the song, maybe it was the mention of the word "house" maybe it was the smiles and pats on the backs from folks who didn't know this was our last time seeing them and how I wanted to reach out and tell them how something they had said or done had helped grow my faith these past years....but, of course, we were late getting there and walked right in during that song...(all hair brushes somehow got packed away and trying to find warm clothes to put on was a challenge..seeing as how I thought Spring was here for good)...so one little tear dropped out of my eyes..NO! This can't be happening!!....I quickly patted my daughter and tried to focus on the words of the song...but with each breath...my heart began to swell..and of course, since we were late...the only open seats were on the second row in front of the musicians...so I wipe that one tear..then the other eye popped one on my lashes...when I tried to wipe that one..I realized the whole eye was filled with water and a cascade of water came out..then the other eye..OH NO!! I made it through the song and had almost composed myself...I was so very casual about wiping the tears and hoping no one noticed. Then the band said they had a new song...I"m thinking..GREAT..let it be a Hallelujah song...no it had to be a Love song that had these words...."Even with the trials set before me, my love for you has been unfaltering....Your blessings overflow..." Well, that was enough to open the flood gates...My girls never seemed to notice, and my husband only noticed when I asked to be excused to go find some tissues.. But, unfortunately I did get some looks of concern as I tried to hide my red eyes and floods coming from my eyes. I scooted to the restroom and found the first empty stall and let it out...then two sweet dear ladies came out of concern and I smiled...laughed...and told them it had just hit me that this was our last time in this church...they were tears of joy for God bringing us together as a family again after a year...joy for the times I held it together to keep everyone balanced...and knowing that my son had found Jesus and was baptized in this church just added to the overflow of joy and the power of missing the precious in this church who have helped our family grow. I didn't mean this to turn into a faith related crying spell...hope I didn't offend any...but I say this to express how I am going to focus on the hope and newness of tomorrow and not let this become an excuse to fall back into my old ways of gaining...oh...and to make it more interesting...after FINALLY gaining my composure and heading back to the sanctuary...I entered during a prayer...I thought GREAT I can sneak back to my chair..but there were others waiting for the prayer to be over so they could return to their seats....so after the prayer ended I tried to silently slip back up to our front seats...when the associate pastor said, "Today is a day of joy and sadness for our church, as one of our families will be moving to Huntsville and this will be their last Sunday..." As he went on, I just had to thank God for the strength to keep from letting those flood gates return...maybe now I could make it through.

I've got loads of boxes to pack...and a bit of a mountain of to do's before we leave Thursday morning...but I'm trying to stay strong and hoping the scale won't go up as the stress of moving goes up...thanks guys for your support and I hope you all have a WISH kind of loss this week! :)

Tara

This is my week of TOM :sad2: which means bloats, cramps, mood swings and I got a cold sore :sad2: BUT I did get up this morning and walked on the treadmill. Not as long as I should have which means I need to get my butt out of bed sooner...........Can't wait for this week to be over. Doctor said this won't end for another 3 years or so............UGH.....They will be carting me off to the loony bin by then

Have a GREAT and Moving Monday!! Goal of the day is to stay committed!!

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Well, I've been away from these boards for a bit, but it was a great feeling to come back and see you guys here plugging away. And Tara, that post made me cry so much, waaaa! Leaving my church (someday when we move away to warmer climates) is going to be pretty tough!

I'm hoping to keep posting here regularily, been away for some health issues and but got the ok from the doc and went back to the gym today-felt great! My weight is still the same-I've lost 29.5 pounds, can't seem to get to that 30 pound mark, but I'm sure it will happen in time.

Congrats to all and happy to see so many accomplishing their goals one day at a time! :)

Good Evening Losers :wave2:

Today I ran for a whole mile :cool1: And was semi good. I GOT MY IPOD! I'm so excited, it was great to run without the skipping!!

I read and article in 17 today about a girl who lost 116 pounds, and it really motivated me, and I watched Starting Over, and there was a great quote,
"Just because you're on a journey to a wonderful place, it doesn't mean you have to wait to have fun until you get there.Celebrate every accomplishment you make. No matter how small. And have fun."

Lets go losers :thewave:

Megan - WOO HOO!!! You go girl!!!! I had a good day too-exercised cardio for 70 minutes today:):) 25 minutes this morning and the rest after work. Yea for me. Will take any gold star I can get.

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
