I walked 9 miles this weekend and although I had some cheats I didn't come anywhere near going over my calorie allotment and still the scale is up 1.5 pounds...I know it's from inflammation from the walks...still sore but it sure would be nice to walk 9 miles and see the scale go down!

I'll give it time...official weigh in is Thursday.

I'm hoping as I get the next 20 pounds off that I'll have the energy and determination you have!! It's just sooo great to hear and visualize!!!
Kathy! Ick 5.5 hour drive!! Hope the roads are clear and you've got your sweet bottle of water next to you! Don't fret about being up...we all have up days and usually it's just water retention from eating too much salt or other type foods..it always helps me to have a really low low carb day with lots of water and that help flushes some of that excess water away. So if you get a salad for lunch today just imagine me right there with you...that's what I'm having to shake the 1.5 pounds I'm up since Friday!

YOU ARE IN THE 170's!!!! That is INCREDIBLE!!!! Just one more 10's and you'll be in the 150's!!! Do you know you are officially less than 20 pounds away from 150's??? WAHOO!!!!!!!!
Linda!! You poor thing!! I can't stand those cold infested noses! Hoping spring comes soon and you can clear all that cold away! You've had a lot going on...and it sounds like you made some GREAT eating choices...once you get back to your bouncing healthy self...all this discipline will start showing great losses on the scale...just stick to it!!

We are ALL going to have those weeks! The most important is that yours was a weekend not a whole week!! In the long run, that's not gonna hurt you! Make a grocery run today and make sure you have some healthy snacks for those last minute on the run errands or attack cravings. Flush that water and you'll remind your body that you're in it to lose that fat.....stay strong...breathe deeply and smile...I've also found that laughing really helps...let yourself LAUGH! I read somewhere that the average child laughs 400 times a day and the average adult laughs 4x a day!! I've really made a conscious effort to laugh at myself...at my children's jokes...and trying to find the humor in this life....it's there if you look!

Heck, I laugh at the way my arms jiggle!
I'm turning a corner...this weekend has been an emotional roller coaster. I'm going to one last free legal clinic help and to the attorney who said for me to appeal...I really don't see how an appeal would work because they don't retry the case they just look to see if there were any errors. The saddening thing is with us being out the $3,000 for the surgery..we'll have to cancel any plans for the kids trip to Disney. We've promised them we'd go because of this hard year without Daddy here...but it looks like we can't. I've been soo strong through this year, but this event is that last straw and I've been a weeping willow this weekend. I can tell the stress is not good for me and I think I'll write a letter to each of the defendant's telling them how their actions have impacted our family and let that be my carthartic release. Coming here and seeing you guys moving forward and meeting challenges has really kept me centered. Thanks all!!!
