Tara - You are such a sweetheart :lovestruc There are so many more people here that have accomplished so much more, but I appreciate it. I think it's starting to sink in that I'm really doing this and I won't be fat anymore. I'm still not getting the idea that I don't have to pull those 18's or 16's and pretty soon 14's off the clothes rack anymore and pretty soon the 12's will be history too. I never thought a year ago that I would be ever wearing a size 12 or even in some cases 10's this soon.

It helps that I have people like you to support me through those good times and bad :sunny:

Also, I have a regular .5 scale. It doesn't bother me too much because I know I'll always be lighter at WI, but might invest in a better one for later.

Christie - Hang in there and you'll be celebrating that 25 pound clippie in no time. I was .2 away from my 45 pound clippie, so I'm definitely getting that next week. Can't wait to get my 50 pound magnet from WW.

This morning before work I did 35 min on stationary bike. After work, I did 20 min of different machines trying to figure out one I could last on for 30 min. I was amazed how one very stressful day at the new job wiped out my energy.

Plan on getting up early enough tomorrow to get another 30 - 45 min of exercise in.

It has been crazy in my world and I have been totally out of sorts. Saturday I picked up my two nieces (11 & 17) and brought them to my house for ice skating and a sleep over. We did the ice skating and it was so nice we came home and grilled out. Managed to stay away from all treats. I tried to run on the TM that night but my legs were so sore from the ice skating. I was miserable. On Sunday I got up and I did my WI. 168. Up 1 pound for the week. :sad2: :sad2:

Sunday was my DD 7th birthday. Big family dinner with lasagna, bread and birthday cake. I didn't stay away from anything! That night my sister took all the kids back to her house to stay for two days! No kids! My DH told me to pack a bag Monday morning and we were not coming home that night. After work he checked us into a wonderful hotel and we had a wonderful meal and just relaxed. I still felt so guilty that I did not work out. Tonight all the kids are back at my house (as you can tell they are on Spring break) and we took them out a new pizza place. YIKES!

I'm going to work out tonight! I will be back on the diet tomorrow and start drinking my water again! The sad part will be when I get back on that scale tomorrow! I know it will be a horror show. With all my expectations of seeing 150's in March I just don't think it is going to happen. :sad2:

After reading all your post I feel guilty and motivated. I have lost sight of my goal. Keep me focused guys! I need you.

Tera-How awesome! Those pictures are very inspiring! You have such a pretty face and it was neat to see you getting smaller & smaller in each one. You'll be at your goal before you know it!

Thanks for all the encouragement the other day regarding my Discovery Channel stuff. It would be neat to see it on TV but they do say it adds 10 pounds-no thanks!

A week or so ago I was asking about everyone's "goal" weight and wondered how they chose it. My gym trainer had been encouraging me to set my sights on 150, not 140. I've decided to do that based on what I've been reading and also some info I got from my nutritionist. It seems that will be a weight that I'll be able to maintain over my lifetime. She also measured me and I am now 5"7 .25 inches, up for 5.6 .75 inches about 6 months ago. Must be all those posture building exercises!

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

Another one bits the dust! And another ones down, another ones down! :rotfl2:

I weighed myself this morning and I lost another 2lbs!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: That makes 4 total gone. Never to come back. Never to be seen again.

Hey, I'm in the mid 220's!! Boy was I shocked. In fact I stepped on the scale TWICE to make sure. Now you know you're not afraid of your weight when you step on a scale more than once. It doesn't seem possible, but when I look at the fact that I have significantly limited my portions and really tried to be conscious of what I am eating, then I guess I can see how I could lose so much so quick. I drink lots of water already, but I have even bumped that up.

Now, I really need to do better on the exercise. Everyone have a great day and shed those lbs. Keep your eye on the prize!! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Christie!!!! 1/2 a pound!!! That is AWESOME!!! Sometimes those half pounds seem harder to get off than a 2 pound week...so pat yourself on the back for doing GREAT!!! And YES start a journal!! It really helps and the encouragment you get from everyone is wonderful! :)

Kathy!!! LOOK AT YOU GO!!!!  And on a work travel week, too!!! That is incredible!!!! I bet your body is thanking you!!! :) You'll have sunny days ahead!! :sunny:

Teresa!!! Let us know when you get that 50 pound magnet!!! I hope it doesn't weigh 50 pounds! :) My daughter weighs 50 pounds...look at how much you lost!!! A little person! :)

Tracy!!! We've ALL got to have those kind of weeks....we're living not die-ting! And I actually think it helps jump start a plateau...we always need to keep our bodies guessing...stick with your plan and drink your water and next week will be just fine!!! You can do this!!!! :grouphug:

Linda!! Have a GREAT trip to Disney!!! Have fun planning!!!! Let those legs do the walking for you and you'll enjoy all that food and not gain a pound! :)

welovedis!! Yep! I am 5'8 when I'm under 150 but when I'm over 200 I'm 5'7 and 1/4 inch...that extra weight just pulls our skeleton down...so stand tall and proud having to carry less! :)

Lesli!!!!  You are rocking it off!!! YEAH!!! You won't be in the 220's long!!! When I first started out I focused on portion control the first two weeks then added in the exercise...the exercise is key to keeping the scale moving....even just a 30 minute walk outside...just something more than you've been doing will shoot that metabolism up and you'll feel GREAT!!! :)

YEAH TEAM!!! Y'all are doing GREAT!!!!
Tara

Just found this thread. This is just what I need, a huge support group. I want to be a member of the 150 pound club. I have about 90 pounds to lose to get there, but I know I can. I went to CURVES this morning, and have started a new diet. Thanks for letting me share!

Lori,

Welcome to WISH and the 150's club!

I just started my weight loss plan and posting to the WISH boards last week and believe me, it helps alot. The people here are great and you will find that they know exactly how you feel and understand your goals. May I suggest that you start a journal? I post to mine daily and it helps keep me aware of my daily routine and eating habits. It is also a way to get out whatever you are feeling about the ups and downs of your program. Read a few of the other journals and you will definitely find a kindred spirit or two.........or more.

Good luck on your program and just remember to take baby steps. You can do it!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi gals,

It's been a little while since I've been able to post to our thread. Things are going real well with me and the Oprah challenge combined with South Beach and working out like crazy. I have dropped another 2 pounds (as of Sunday) for a total of 104 pounds lost and now weigh 178.5 pounds which is the lowest weight I have ever been in my adult life!! I am inching closer and closer to the 150 pound club and I'm just thrilled.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Lori - Welcome! This is a great thread to get encouragement on your way down the scale!

Thanks for the encouragement gals. I think the journal idea is perfect. Zera- you've lost so much weight- you are an inspiration. That's amazing!

my3girls!!! Welcome!! :grouphug: I've got even better news for you...you don't have to get to the 150 mark...when you reach 159.5 YOU HAVE DONE IT!!! Anything else is just bonus! So knock off 10 pounds for you to make goal in this club! :) We would just love to see all of us in the 150's...several want or need to get beyond and below...and we will LOVE waving them through! :) We love drinking our water around here and mention it often because it really does help flush those pounds away! When I first started at WISH I had 90 pounds to lose....I'm almost at my 60 pound mark with WISH and it does FEEL WONDERFUL!!! I have much more energy to run around with my 3 children and I get soo much more accomplished!! :) You'll love getting down!!! :)

Lesli! I've going to go check on your journal! I try to read atleast one new one each week....I think they really help me to stay focused and it's great to look back when I'm having a discouraging week and read how pumped up I was 10 pounds ago...just keep plugging on!!! :)

ZERASPRIDE!!! I AM SOO HAPPY to see your post!!! 104 pounds!!! That makes me want to fight these last 30 pounds off!!! :) I can't wait to see 179.5 on the scale!!! Keep refreshing me on how it feels!!! You are doing GREAT and I bet you will be one hot mamma this summer! :) Your words and encouragment mean soo much!!! And it makes me want to grab on to your coattails and sail down to the 150's right behind you! :) So SO LONG two pounds   we don't need ya!!! :)

Tara

Good morning team!

Wow - I'm so inspired by everyone's posts. A banana dance in honor of all of us losers!

Well, I was a little worried the last couple of weeks when my back was so tight I couldn't run. Good news: After 2 weeks of being on the mend I was able to get 2 miles in last night - oh my... can't tell you how good that felt!

So... jumped on the scale this a.m. (fearfully) - couldn't get myself to do it last week for fear of a MAJOR weight gain - and I'm actually down 2 lbs. Whew! :teeth:

Onward and downward! Keep on doing such a great job Team! I'm so inspired by you all!

Have a great week everyone...

Aloha! :wave2:

Iris

Hi Club 150!

I haven't weighed myself in over a week. I plan on weighing in on Sunday. I had a major carb binge yesterday and I am feeling it today! Yesterday, I did an extra workout to help combat the carbs. We'll find out on Sunday if it worked or not.

Have a great day! You CAN do it! :cheer2:

Hey Guys,
Sorry I haven't posted in a few days!! Well I did it, I've been talking about but this morning I finally got up and did my WW DVD~High Intensity and I'm ready to go another round tonight. It felt so good to workout!! I'm with you on the water..I have another 2 bottles to drink today, but I'll chug it down.

I'm so happy to hear about all the wonderful losses!! I can't wait to see all of us reach our goals..it will be absolutely fantastic!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Jen

Iris!!! WAHOO   good bye 2 pounds!!! That's your body working for you!! All those days you committed to running prior to your back hurting helped you be more efficient and even with days off you managed to lose! That's WONDERFUL!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Tracy...water really helps me flush away the carbs...sometimes our body really needs them and sometimes we just crave them...either way a little extra water will help settle you back into losing! :) I'm not an enemy of carbs...I lost 90 pounds in college and never counted them...but I do know when you look at how I gained those 90 pounds my diet was 85% carbs...way out of balance...so for me keeping them low is always a good rule. And exercise goes a looong way in burning them off! So CONGRATS on doing a GREAT workout yesterday!!!

Jen!!! GREAT JOB ON THE WORKOUT!!! Hi-intensity usually means strong cardio..you're not only building muscle you're making your heart really really really happy!!! And in turn it will make you smile when you see the scales...don't forget to measure!!! :)

I'm feeling a bit under the weather today...just really light headed and trying to get my water in...had to take dd (7) to doctor last night...she's feeling very tired and ill, too...must be a bug going around...I may have to skip my workout tonight....I've only missed 2 workout days in the Oprah's bootcamp..but I just feel my body telling me to rest today.....I have been very good on my eating so I'll try and come back stronger tomorrow and have more energy. Tomorrow's my weigh in...hopefully the scale will be kind! :)

ONwards & Downwards gang!!!

Tara

Hit the exercise bike after work today. Did 48 min of wt loss level 1. I had the urge to stop but looked at the remaining time (had the display covered up) and discovered only 15 min left. I knew I could last that much longer.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

My coworker thinks I'm a glutten for punishment.:rolleyes: After spending 8.5 hours per day as acting controller (previous controller was very secretive so nobody really knew what she did) , I come back to the hotel and work on another account which I brought with me. It keeps me busy and from falling asleep too early since I'm not a TV watcher.

Congradulations everyone on your progress. You are so dedicated to your goals, I am encourage by you to exercise when I waold rather crash .

Managed to get more water comsumed today, but still not as much as I should. Time seems to fly by.

ONward and DOWnward:banana::banana::wizard:

Good morning fellow losers :wave2::wave2::wave2:

Goals for today:
No AM grazing
80 oz of water
45 min of exercise

Onward and downward :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Kathy!! I LOVE those goals for today...do you mind if I try them with you???? I really really want to kick 4 pounds off before March ends...I can do it if I follow your plan for the day! I've been HORRIBLE with water...getting about 32 oz a day with a diet coke thrown in or unsweet tea...what am I thinking???

The good news is I lost a pound this week...I actually saw a half pound less than that last week...don't know how I couldn't keep it off...guess all this exercise is making me lean hopefully. But I'll take the pound..no I'm EXCITED about the pound!!! That's HUGE!!! So goodbye pound!!! I'm at 186.5 and would love to be at my 10% goal of 182 by the end of the month...I think I can do it!!! :) Stay strong folks, set some mini goals...for now I'm setting an April Fools goal of 4 pounds gone by April 1st....I will FLUSH THAT FAT AWAY!!! :)
