Good morning fellow losers.

I have been trying to stay within the guidelines set up by the nutritionist. My biggest downfall is trying to meet the milk and milk product equivalents. I could eat lots of ice cream but that would only increase the amount of fat I comsume. I also have some problems with getting all the protein she has suggested.

I have been exercising almost every day for at least 45 min.:yay::yay: Most of the exercise has been on the bike as I am still having trouble with my feet after the half. I have always had tendonitis in the top of my left foot but for some reason the right foot has decided to chime in.

Today I have an appt with my personal trainier. It will be interesting to see what she comes up with for exercises because the doctor has limited me to lightweight upper extremity exercises because of the problems with my neck. Is my body trying to tell me I should become a couch potato :confused3

I have seen 169.6 on the scale for the last 3 mornings. I guess my body has finally figured out how to lose. I still need to work on getting rid of the fat around my waist.

Welcome to all new posters. Everyone is doing great.

Jen - keep up the good work and the poulds will start disappearing.
Tara - are you walking and drinking lots of water.
Debra - have you found your alternative to carrots for a low cal snack
Linda - lets get to the 150's together. We can do it. Keep using the treadmill and you will start to see results. Drink at least 624 oz of water per day to flush the fat.

Hi Schatz56, WW Core plan is almost similar in some way to Atkins or South Beach. Good carbs, no fat, lean meats. You can have whole wheat products, potatoes, no fat dairy, all vegetables, all fruit and you also can use up to 35 flex points per week if you choose for things such as ice cream or foods that don't fit into the above categories. I eat sugar free pudding, 94% fat free popcorn (these items don't count as flex points, they are allowed on the program). I'm not a breakfast eater so in the morning I will have a WW 1 point bar, for lunch I will have tuna, egg salad, cheese or english muffin pizzas, for dinner I have a vegetable, meat and either whole wheat pasta, brown rice or a potatoe. The best potatoes to eat are red skin, they have the most fiber. For dessert I will usually have a WW ice cream bar.
WW also just introduced a new structure plan here on Long Island. They give you a specific menu to follow for every meal. It's too structured for me. :cheer2:  :yay:

Hello everyone,

I just got back from weight watchers and I lost 1.5lb this week which now makes me 149.5lb :cool1: :cheer2: :woohoo: :tigger: :mickeyjum :ccat: :donald:

Sorry for the use of lots of smilies but I am so pleased. I still have 8.5lb to go though until I am no longer classed as over weight and 23.5lb to go to reach goal.

Ug. TOM struck late last night. :( It bites, but what can you do?

AND AND AND! I was asked to the homecoming dance!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I was asked by proxy (someone else asked for him)...these guys are known for playing tricks, the ones who asked me. The guy who "wants to go with me" is nice...a typical guy, but "nice".

I have to get going...game and play practice :)

B: egg with ham, strawberries, vanilla low fat yogurt (5)
L: creamed chicken with biscuit (8)
S: banana (1) and maybe some Sandies...

Way to go Danauk. How awesome are you!!! In just a few short months you will be at your goal!!

Lovedvc..thanks for the info on the core plan.

I was trying to get to the gym this AM however, Mickaellya had a different plan for her mother. She is 18 mos, and had some ice cream last night with the rest of the kids. Now I will say I don't know HOW that Edy's Samoa Girl Scout cookie ice cream made it thru my door but it did. Anyway, it must have really bothered her because she woke up Ellissa who in turn brought her to me. I obvisously don't have Ellissa trained well enough to bring her to DH's side of the bed. (note to self...tell Ellissa whenever Mickaellya wakes up, bring to DAD.) So anyway, I got no sleep, so the last thing I wanted to do was get to the gym at 5am.

All that being said, when I got here this evening I worked out for 60 minutes.

DH is 2 for 2 this week for working. He stepped in the door at 3 and got a call he had to go back to the job he was just at. It appears a power pole was leaning over the highway. Not a good thing for the pole to fall, so he even picked up a bit of overtime.

PS the ice cream is now all out of my house with no plans of inviting it back in.

Well, the guy who wanted to go to the dance with me was an absolute joke. And we lost tonight, which means we're out of the champs...and all sorts of other things aren't going too well...

Still trying to keep my head up...

Linda..I'm joining you in watching the scale go down. I just signed up for the my kitchen is closed challange that Jen started. and I just started the 100 cheat free challange. Today is day 1 and so far so good.

Jen All I can say is that teenage boys tend to be jerks. I'm sure you will have a better time going alone with just the girls you hang out with. Enjoy the dance without the nonsense.

did not get to the gym today, but I am sticking with the no snacking on junk thing.

today I ate 1/2 cup rice pudding and 2 pieces of rye toast with that smart balance light on it.

getting in all the water. I

I need those size 16's to fit looser. By the end of Feb I want to be in my 14's

Hi All!

Hello to the new posters, sounds like you guys are doing great!

Jen-Boys will be boys, that line is so true. Keep your head up!!! :grouphug:

169.6, 149.5, those numbers are great you guys! That means a whole new "decade" for lack of a better word! :) :thumbsup2

Been doing fairly lousy here, lol! Took an hour long Pilates class on Sat, after I weighed in & found that I only lost a pound last week :( The class was good, but the next day I came down with a cold and I'm still battling. I went back to the gym yesterday but I just couldn't drag myself out of bed this morning.

However, yesterday I met with a grief counselor to talk about my mom's recent death and she was helpful on the first session-amazing. One thing that she impressed upon me was to be satisfied with small changes right now. The fact tha I am going to the gym regularily is something to be proud of, not berate myself for making unwise food choices. She isn't saying "go eat what you want" but more along the lines of "take it slow, make the changes slowly if you want them to stick for a lifetime". It is still tough & last night I was upset when I head the song we played at my mom's funeral on the Christian radio station for the first time since that day. (Closer to You Mark Schultz )

Anyway, even though I'm feeling physically lousy, my mind is feeling better, lol! :)

Are you closer to the 150's than yesterday???

Hmmm....I'd say maybe...if I stick to a good dinner and don't blow it! :) I did 30 minutes walking with the dogs at 6:30 and 20 minutes strength training..have had only 1 small glass of water today...that stinks!!! But I had a decent proportionate breakfast and lunch..caved a little on some bites of ice cream but didn't order my own so a little off my daughters was okay.

Debra!! Hope your kiddie is feeling better...it's the pits when they're under...we love their bubbly personalities and not the sniffles or worse! CONGRATS on maintaining through the tough months!!!! THAT IS AWESOME!!! You're my hero! :) I haven't weighed since losing 2 pounds the previous week....out of town and knew that would blow my momentum...but I'm doing better now and will weigh back on schedule! :)

lovedvc... :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Cheering for a great weigh in tomorrow!!!! :)

KathyT...HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your little one!!! Oooh...cake is the challenge of the century for me...I think I've turned down birthday cake once in my life and it still pains me! :) On to cake free days! :)

Schatz! How is your back???? Rest that puppy...we need you up and moving towards that 150!! I have a bad back and sooo empathize with you!!! Ice/heat/ice/heat...just get it better! :)

Danauk!!!! WAHOOOO :thumbsup2 LETS CHEER FOR THE 140's!!! AWESOME NUMBER BABY!!! I have about 15 pounds before I'm under the overweight limit...it was heaven knowing I was out of the obese range...need to join you and head down to goal!!! Oh! I've been having fun planning our UK trip....think I've decided to rent a cottage in the Cotswolds for a week after 3 nights in London...then we'll just do daytrips out from the Cotswolds...I realized moving from spot to spot every 2 nights was going to wreak havoc on this mommy..that way we'll have a washer/dryer and can pack light. Seems there's alot around the Cotswolds so we'll have fun...come and join us!! We'll be there September 15-25. CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS!!!!

Jen!!! :grouphug: We're here for you baby!!! Don't let the turkeys get you down!!! I know it can seem like a whammy of a day...but you've got that little light inside of you that's glowing and saying "JEN IS GREAT! The sun will shine on you tomorrow!" We love you and if my 10 year old was just a little older he'd love to take you to the dance. Just remember that joker 20 years from now when you're reaping all the goodness you've been sowing! :)

Linda!! WOW All of your daughters can officially vote! :) Boy, I can't even envision my daughters being 18! There's alot of growing up between 7 and 18...atleast I hope so! :) Hope you have a great time with her!!! I'm doing good, been painting my kitchen all day....boy, will I be glad to finish cutting in..the kitchen has soooo many cut ins...cabinets, corners, molding...ugh!!!

welovedis...my life has been so ups and downs lately that I must have missed your mother passing!! I am sooo sorry to hear that and very proud of you for taking your grief to a counselor...she is very right! And as I was reading your post...all I could see was you did an hour of pilates!!! WOW!!! THat is GREAT!!! It's gonna stink each time you hear that song...the pit I can only imagine from losing a parent must really be hard to fill. I'll be saying a special prayer for you through this tough time. Living your life by treating yourself well would make your ma proud...you're strong..you can do this!!!

Off to finish painting...need a taller ladder to cut in the ceiling....ugh....I would tape it if I didn't think I'd get a crick in my neck....so I'll just slowly cut in as I go...anyone up for painting???? :)

Tara

Thanks you guys! I kind of absolutely forgot about him. He doesn't deserve any of my time if he's going to yo-yo me.

Today was better. There was cheerleading after school today and that was fun. Band practice for my solo is coming along well but still has a LOT of work to do.

I don't know how well my food was today but here it is!

B) 3 points of cereal, and a PB sandwich (7 total, maybe)
L: Chicken Pattie and a peach cup (I think maybe 8)
S: no snack because I wasn't able to get home until 6:00
D: an unknown amount of rigatoni and sausage

Lots of cheerleading today

I think 30 ounces of water (18 more to go!)

All is going well!

Tara-In a few years, I think he would be the perfect age to go to the dance :)

Schatz-My friends are a lot of fun...in fact I will be wearing a SKIRT to the dance. And I never wear skirts except for the cheerleading one!

And did I mention? PEP rally TOMORROW! :cheer2:

Thanks Linda!

Off to close the kitchen and drink water

Weighed in this morning. 1.4 down 22.2 total after 9 weeks. Finally feeling good and looking forward to the future. :yay: :yay: :yay:

Oh snap! Somebody stole one of my big white sparkly fluffy pom poms!

The pep rally started, crashed and then burned...we had 20 minutes left...

Today will get better! No school tomorrow and Homecoming :thumbsup2

welovedis.. I can relate to the passing of your mom. It will be 2 years on the 8th of Feb that my mom died. The other day, I was watching some TV and show was on where the mom died, and it brought me to tears.

Did 120 minutes at the gym today. Drank all my water, didn't cheat, and closed the kitchen. This weight should just be melting off.

I'm going to start a pilates class on tuesday, so I pretty excited. The gym also hired a personal trainer and I think she is going to train the owner and I for Free. Gotta like that.

Ok I gotta go home now.

Tracy and Karen - I too can relate to your pain in losing a parent. Tomorrow, Feb 3 is the 2nd anniversary of my father's death. It seems it should get easier at some point but they will always be in our hearts. It is hard to believe that they don't live forever.

Today started out to be a goode eating day. It fell apart after returning from an hour of group training class from 6-7. The class involved core training on the ball and upper body strength training. It has been a year since I ahve taken any of the classes. I am going to have sore muscles which I had forgotten about.

I drank more water than needed, and closed the kitchen by 8:30.

Hope everyone is having a great evening. Keep eating healthy and drink lots of water.

Hi guys!

D: chef salad with ranch, breadsticks, a few soda crackers, water. Okay...I was more like stress eating (the crackers were like, immediately after I came home)

Good Morning

Damp and rainy here in NJ. This month I am dedicating myself to three things.

1. Exercise every day
2. Try to stay on a healthy eating plan
3. Get to bed at a good time (for me 10) each night.

I haven't lost anything in the last 4 months but I haven't been working as hard as I should. I think this is a good place to start.

So far today I walked on my treadmill for 40 minutes and did 2.1 miles (not bad for a beginner).

This is great! I bet you look a lot different after 22.2 pounds gone! Good for you!!! :cool1:  :Pinkbounc

Sorry I haven't been onling as much this week. After DD1 got better, DD2 became ill and she just went back to school today.

I have been reassessing my attitude and goals. I am torn over mixed information I am getting on what is a good weight for me and what I should expect from the whole loose skin issue that I am dealing with (I really hate this hanging loose skin--but I hate the idea of surgery/tummy tuck even more).

I know you can find a website that can side with whatever idea you want to agree with, and this issue isn't any different. I found this website:
http://www.bodyfatguide.com/LooseSkin.htm
And I like what I read here. I don't know if this loose skin will ever go all the way back, but I have decided to give myself a year and see if I see any difference.

Also, I am going to try to lose some more weight. What this article says makes sense to me, and I do think I still have pockets of fat right in that area that I need to drop.

I don't want to go by the 'scale' any more. I want to go by how I feel and look.

I would like to say I am going to start exercising, but I still hate that so much. The only thing I liked was when the weather was nice and I could walk outside with my iPod. I am hoping in April that will happen again.

So I am not in the brightest of moods this week, but I have a 'plan' now for February and we will see if it works out.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Get ready for the weekend! Try not to snack too much!

Debra

ds had upper resp. virus last week. dd got it this week and hers led to bronchitis. i've been fighting it off this week, too.

we were all healthy at disney (2nd week in jan.) i think we should become nomadic and live wherever it's 75 degrees...

hope next week is better

KathyT

Good morning everyone.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Today is my first mandatory Sat. and I even have 3 appts. I really love tax season. It keeps me from sleeping in and helps me exercise more to keep my sanity. pirate: :rolleyes1

This tread has been fairly quiet lately. Hope that means everyone it doing well and keeping on track to their goal.

Off to work :moped:
