We will end up with 14 Counter Service credits left on Thursday when we are scheduled to leave to come home. This was due to the fact that we spent a few days at Universal and two of our party had to leave early. Any suggestions??? I'm going to ask around here and see what ideas anyone here has. We're at the Boardwalk, trying to maybe think of things we could buy that would be OK to take home.:confused3 Otherwise these credits will be spent on others who will get an unexpected meal.:goodvibes

Some places will let you convert these to (multiple) snack credits. I suggest hitting Main Street Bakery, the Confectionary and Goofy's Candy Co. for some great treats to bring home and give as gifts (and some for yourself)! Many of the snacks (rice krispie treats, the cookies that are sealed in wrappers or packages, the fudge, the covered pretzel sticks, the list goes on...) keep for quite awhile.

Happy (snack) shopping! :)

we've gone to the Mara in the past--because they had such a great grab and go, not so much any more--to get some sandwiches, hummas and dip, bottled drinks and zebra domes to eat on the drive home. They also will convert a meal, I think to three snacks. We brought home a bunch of Mickey Rice Crispies.

This was not my idea, it's on another recent post that I saw recently... but Earl of Sandwich I think it was? and Getting sandwiches? Especially if you are driving, good to take home.

I agree that I've heard of others getting 3 snack credits for each CS. I would buy bags of candy , cookies,or other treats to take home for gifts for friends.

If you will be in Epcot hit the pastry shop in France and take home a couple of boxes of pastries and some bottled drinks. A CS credit gets you two pastries and a beverage.

If you will be in the MK hit the Main St Bakery and get some sandwiches and pastries for the road. A CS credit gets you a sandwich, a pastry and a drink.

Breakfast every morning?

ETA: I see you are coming home tomorrow so this won't work. Sorry!

You can convert them into 2 snack credits per one CS. Hit up Goofy's Candy Co and go wild. :hyper: That's what we did. :cool1:

Boardwalk Bakery converted them into 3 snacks per one CS for us just a little while ago, so we'll be heading home with A LOT of goodies.:cloud9:

Thanks for everyone's help!!!!!!!

I know the OP is home already, but just general information: swapping credits - i.e. counter service for snacks, as mentioned here - is prohibited by the published rules of the Disney Dining Plan... so is ENTIRELY at the discretion of the location.

I am glad I read this thread I didn't know that some bakeries/candy stores would let you use your counter service credit there instead. I hope they are still doing that when we are there next year. :)

The manager of the Bakery explained to us that since we had no snack credit left he allowed us to "use" the CS credits at his bakery as "continental breakfasts" which meant our choice of any bakery items plus drinks, which we chose not to take. He also mentioned that with the new dining plan coming in January there will be further restrictions.

So are you saying you "wasted" the CS credits vs taking the bakery offer or did you not take the drinks?

As we were leaving our resort in sept the CM at he grab and go helped us use a couple of CS credits. We were able to get some fruit, drinks, "entree" type item (PB&J, fruit and cheese platter, etc.). Best banana and OJ I had all week!
