Although the hospital does agree that she is brain dead, their arguments were that they couldn't be forced to pull the plug because she was never "pronounced dead". And of course the reason why she hasn't been pronounced dead is because the hospital refuses to have any of its doctors do it. Nice circular logic there. I'm wondering why there wasn't anything like the Jahi McMath case where a judge appointed an outside doctor to make a diagnosis and allow that doctor to pronounce death based on those findings.
