Four days!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I feel for you sharing a room with your dad! I am a very light sleeper and my dad is a snorer. I really don't think I could do it. Hope you're able to get all of the sleep you need. :goodvibes

It's just awful. One time I seriously was going to sleep in the bathtub as I wanted to cry I was so tired. Ear plugs are a godsend! I don't know how my mother has dealt with it for over 40 years.

:banana::banana:I think you're THERE!!!! :banana::banana:

Can't wait to hear about it when you get back! I want to know EVERYTHING about those beignets!!!!;)

Almost! The flight is at the crack of dawn on Friday, weather permitting. I'm trying to ignore the forecast and tell myself it will be perfect that morning.

Ugh!!!!! My flight for Friday morning has been cancelled.

:scared1::sad1::sad2::scared1:

Not delayed, just cancelled.

:scared1:

I am so not happy. I had to make a quick phone call to my mother since she charged it, and will have to try to get a new ressie.

They are still listing a 10:20am flight to Orlando that day, so keep your fingers crossed that we'll be able to get on that one. Our original flight was nearly sold out, so homefully we'll be able to make it on the new flight before word gets out about the flight.

I so didn't need this!

OH NO!! I"m so, so sorry, Crissy! That really, really stinks!

And here I was thinking you were already there enjoying a nice time.

I really hope you get on your new flight w/o any problems AT ALL!!

I just hopped on to wish you a wonderful trip and then I find out about your flight being cancelled!! How horrible!!! :scared1::scared1:

I am sending lots of pixie dust to help you get an alternative!! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Thanks everyone. I've been stressing over this since 4pm yesterday when I found out. Thank goodness that I just happened to check my personal e-mail while at work and got the message about the cancelled flight. My mom got right on the phone, and after nearly an hour on the phone snagged us 3 of the last few spots on the next flight out. It's about 4 hours later than our original flight, but at this point I'll be happy to get on a flight. The guy who helped her out was pretty surprised that they had already cancelled the flight.

The weather forecast isn't looking too hot for tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed for me that the flight takes off safely. I'm not usually a bad flyer, but the thought of flying in bad weather is making me a bit paranoid.

What a bummer about the flight being cancelled, but glad you were able to get on the next one. Fingers crossed that the weather cooperates for you tomorrow!!

Just a little update, while I have a free moment. We did not make it out of New York with the storm.

We drove up to the hotel last night. In Connecticut there was only pouring rain,but as soon as we crossed the border into New York the snow started coming down hard. It had to be one of the most harrowing drives I've ever made. Dark roads, no plows, just awful. A few times I didn't think I was going to make it up certain hills. I wanted to do the happy dance when we finally got to the hotel.

This morning we made it to the airport to find our flight delayed an hour, but after waiting around for half an hour it was cancelled, and they closed the airport. First flight they were able to get us on was at 3:30 tomorrow! Ugh! And that's if the stupid snow ever stops falling. Luckily we were able to get a room at the hotel again. The place is pretty packed because power is out all over the place because the heavy snow is pulling lines down and the locals are filing the place.

I had to cancel my Rose & Crown and Boma ressies. So sad!

I am so sad for you, but very glad you are safe and sound in a hotel!!

Missing out on R & C and Boma is certainly a blow!!

Will be praying you get out tomorrow!!

Wow- I am late to this party. I hope you had a great trip!

:wave2:Hi everyone! I made it home yesterday morning after a great week down in Florida. It was a short, but fun trip. I really felt like I could have used at least another week though. Getting up this morning to go to work was no fun at all. I won't be doing a regular trip report for this trip, since I'm still working on my December trip report, but I'll mix in my thoughts and a bit of a mini report trip here. The snow put a damper on the begining of the trip, but we ended up with some really great moments on this trip.

This trip really helped bring back some of happy magical Disney feelings back to me. I haven't got that far in my December trip report, but by the end of that week I was on serious Disney overload. Parks were crowded, people were miserable (myself included), and I wasn't feeling any Disney love by the time I left. Leaving the World in December, I really wasn't in the mood to get back anytime soon and was kicking myself for buying the AP tickets forcing me to go back.

Being there this time brought the good Disney magic back to me, and now I can't wait to get back in October. I'm even plotting to see if I can squeeze in a long solo weekend while I have the APs. (Not likely now that I'm only working one job, but I'm going to try).

YAY! :yay:

I'm so glad you had a good time and were able to recapture that Disney magic. :thumbsup2

Thanks! Sometimes it's just so much easier to travel with family than with friends. I feel much more comfortable being honest with my family about when I need a bit of a break for some alone time. It made it much more relaxing for me.

So good to hear that you had a great trip and that you are looking forward to more Disney trips again! :goodvibes

In hindsight it sounds like the decision to invite your BFF was not the right one to take, but I think you would have always have felt guilty if you hadn't asked her along. At least now you know much more about how and with whom you want to vacation! :thumbsup2

I went through a similar learning process... :sad2:
