12/5/09 -- DUMMY -- The Cruise Your Heart Desires Most ; )

I have no idea, but I'm chosing to look at it this way -

less than I lost in the market last week & a heck of a lot more fun. :upsidedow

To tell you the truth, I have no idea where the cruise is going! We've never done a southern, so it will all be new to us!

From mousesavers:

Departure Date: December 29, 2010

Ports of Call:
Nassau
St Maarten
Antigua
Tortola
St Thomas
Castaway Cay

::yes:: Steph ::yes:: I totally agree, I will watch it with you since I've never officially seen it myself.

Gosh, if we had known Desiree and I could have acted out RHPS for you in Diversions some night!

Cool. I don't know anything about any of those places except Nassau. :lmao: What the heck. I'm always up for an adventure.

We'll see where the price lands...

have you been to Grand Canyon? I was thinking 3-4 nights would be enough. Am I underestimating?

Ok, I kept reading & saw that you have. (typical me). So how many nights?

We'd love to do the southwest. One of these days.

Hmmm...just tried to look at the NYE cruise on the DCL site. It isn't listed.
Chuck (my TA) thought they would open it today since it starts in 2010.
It doesn't look like the Christmas cruise is open either.

I guess I'll have to stay tuned to see how this ends...

Wow! The DIS is slow...

I expected to see Mickey swimming while waiting for my post.

I waited on hold for 30 minutes (at work on the long distance number :scared1: )

Had to hang the phone up before they fire me.

Christmas cruises are up....not even a consideration at $7002.50 for 2 in a Cat 11, no tax, no ins

Wonder how full they are?

The quotes I get on line seem to be tier 1 pricing in most cases (based on ranges they published)

For the WB TA the Cat 11s are GTY now, so it's getting some bookings, at least the lower categories. I think I saw that one of the Meds (or was it Baltic) was sold out in the Cat 4s....no way I would pay that much!

On our Mystery Cruise last week..while waiting for a show to begin..they play "Time Warp"...I embarrassed Tori but actually dancing to it..:rotfl2:

don't forget Roger was going to dress as Frank

He seems more Riff Raff to me....

That's more then I paid for the Repo.....guess we will be home for the Holidays! I only looked because I had told Richard that I would like to take another cruise over the holidays (went to Hawaii a few years ago over both Xmas and NYE)

Just for fits and giggles..I went to look at the one cruise that sounded interesting to me..the Capitals cruise...for almost 11K :scared1: we would book cat 11...that's 3K more then it cost us for the EB repo in a Cat 5....losts of choices left on those...not selling as fast as I thought...TA isn't bad..under 7K for the 3 of us in a CAT5.

"this cruise?"

You were branded for life from the last cruise!

I am branded as the "MOM"...................thanks to K!!!:cool1: :cool1:

Sorry I've been MIA for so long kids, been having a time of it since we got back.....mostly at work. We are a small,3 person kitchen,2 workers and a manager. We should be like a small family. My manager and I get along great,we've become quite good friends actually. The other one though has decided that I'm not to be trusted and she has also come to the conclusion that I'm a racist!!! :sad1: :sad1: Nothing could be farther from the truth!!! My school is predominately African-American,I'm the only white person in the kitchen. I've lived in an all black community for over 15 years and it was that way when we bought our house! I was raised to believe that "People are people" and there is no difference between us. I believe that this is just her latest "game' to cause problems in the kitchen.
Let me give ya'll a little history. Last year was my 1st year at this school. Same manager and it was also her 1st year there and 1st year as a manager. When I came in,she asked us both "Who wants to be a Kitchen Specialist (asst. mananger)" Gwen said no and I said I'd give it a shot. My job now consists of running the register, doing paperwork, ordering groceries, dealing with parents and teachers, plus cooking. It needed to go to a person who is reliable and she had a problem with being late, not coming in,staying on the phone, etc. She has decided this year that I'm not doing any work! Has tried telling my manager not to trust me and that I'll stab her in the back. I had to take Harley in for surgery Thurs. morning to have another tumor removed from his foot. I left after the kids had breakfast and was gone less than 1 hour. Sharon(my manager) took me aside when I got back and told me not to keep my mouth shut and not be telling my business to Gwen. Seems after I left,Gwen went to Sharon and said 'She had to leave work for a damn dog She could have done that after she got off!" No, I couldn't! He had to be in by 9am for surgery that day. Harley's condition also has me a bit stressed.
This woman knows that she's been on thin ice for a while and I think she's just trying to move the attention to somebody else.

I'm sorry to ramble and put my "business out there" for all to see,but I needed some reassurance from my friends. :sad1:

I won't find out about Harley's growth until later this week or next.

Debi.........sorry to hear about someone hassling you besides DCL.:sad2: It takes all kinds to make up the world..........and this is the kind of person the world could do with out. Just stay as sweet as you are.

Guess I have to call for giggles:

I am not sure if you look for trouble or trouble follows you.:lmao: :lmao:

Saw this on the main board. Not being a member I have no idea how expensive/costly this is but everyone was complaining.

No DVC member for me either.:sad2: Just keep remembering August 15th WDW...I have our fingers crossed.:cheer2: :flower3: I am green with envy Desiree is meeting you at DL.

With less than 24 hours to go we finally decided to do 06-July-2010 Northern Europe cruise from Dover.

It will be great for us because we will stay just outside Dover the night before and when we disembark after the cruise, we will be home by lunchtime - that will be a novelty !!

David

What are you doing in 2009????? :confused3 :confused3 I have the TA WB booked but not sure what I want depending on the economy.:headache:

The WB TA was such a bargain....I could not resist. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: With my 10% off...............makes it really cheap!!!:thumbsup2

That is so not right compared to what my TA got.
Unless yours included air/transfers/insurance.

My Cat 9 is less than what you had there.

It is still spendy ($8624) and I'm not sure if we will keep it. I have no idea where we will be living when this cruise happens, so we'll let it ride for now.

He seems more Riff Raff to me....

SAY HELLO RIFF!
