12/24/08 Christmas Cruise on the Wonder

Stupid question segment:
So are you worried that people will steal your FE or the stuff in it? Will I be the only adult dressed as a pirate for the Pirate Party? Do they sell the adult mickey ear pirate hats onboard or is that something I would have to get from DW/L or Ebay?

They do sell all kinds of pirate hats on board and pirate costumes (cheaper on sale after Halloween at Wal Mart). Captain Jack Sparrow hats were especially popular. And lots of Peter Pan stuff. My kids went as Hook and Tink (see below) and hubby and I will have coordinating costumes this year. At the very least, everone receives a pirate bandana at their place setting at dinner so pretty much everyone is in the spirit. There will be wenches as well. I think it would be safe to say that the majority of people will be somehow dressed for the occasion.

Let's see...

Yes Andy = Andymanga
Yes the GA means I live in Georgia

We're in 7008 I think.

I don't think I have read about people stealing stuff from inside the FE. I guess you would never know if they did. How are you to know what was put in there? I would definitely empty things out each day and take them into the room. As for stealing the FE itself, I have read a very useful tip that I plan on doing as well. First, it's a good idea to have it personalized with your names, etc. This should lessen the chance that someone would take it. Also, bring along some of the plastic zip ties and secure it to the actual fish that hangs outside the door. Of course, don't forget to pack something that can cut it in order to remove it! I can see me forgetting that. I plan on us adults dressing up as pirates. I guess I don't need a costume for a wench...I already am one. JK.

I was reading on someone's TR that they were the only adults in pirate costume. They said that everybody kept coming up to them and asking where they were supposed to be, etc.

Glad to know that I wont be the only one :joker: not that it would have stopped me if I had been

I plan on looking around for me and the baby at Party City for the post-Halloween sales:thumbsup2

These weren't the same people that compared eating at Palo to being on Fear Factor, were they??? Some people fall a tad bit on the dramatic side of normal. :stir:

:lmao: :rotfl2: I saw that thread!

Me Too!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Sounds like you guys had a good time today. While I was slaving away in the yard. Mowing and raking. Oh wait, would that be considered a little on the dramatic side of normal?:lmao: I like that, I'm going to have to remember to use that one on Lindsey.:thumbsup2

Andy, I was going to tell you about the zip ties, but Courtney beat me to it. I will also empty our every day. I can't see any of my family dressing up as pirates, or anything else. They are all a bunch of stick in the muds.:sad2: We will probably be the only family NOT dressed up on pirate night.

Adrianna, Thanks for the info on were to find the store. We need to go to OKC to get Lindsey a new competition suit. The swim shop is close to Penn Square Mall, so I'll be sure to check it out. Have fun with VBS. Ours was last week, This is the first year in a long long time I didn't work it. Just too much needing my attention, and only one of me.

Oh are you in for a treat! As you approach the port, you can't see anything. Then all of a sudden, you top the hill, and there sits the Wonder in all her glory. :worship: Of course now you will also have a birds eye view of the Mariner docked right next door
He is going to love that! Thanks for the heads up! I'll have my camera ready! I love to scrapbook so I want to get EVERYTHING.

I think Lindsey and Victoria may have been separated at birth. Are you sure you didn't have triplets???

My day started off not too well. Nauseous and queazy. Slept after church, without lunch, for 3 1/2 hours. No...no morning sickness. GI bug going around. This evening it was a little better so I decided splurging at Sonic was alright. We all ended the evening playing Rock Band. Not too bad. Hope everyone else's weekend went well. Sorry about the yard work Brenda. :(

I could use all the help I can get in scrapbooking. I have such wonderful intentions but don't even really know where to start. I have supplies just no time. Do you start on cardstock or paper? If cardstock do you glue the paper onto the cardstock if you don't want plain white? Told you I need help.....I need to do a class or something. :worried:

Quite sure. Maybe you had twins:lmao: Yard work wasn't that bad. Michael and my son in law helped.

Glad you are feeling better. Those bugs can be short lived, but very nasty.

You will have to really watch so you don't miss the exact moment. It does come up fast if you don't know for sure where it is. I wish I had the patience to scrap book. I have 29 yrs worth of pictures in ziplock bags:rotfl2:

Maybe I did! Glad to hear about the yardwork. DD was sick Thursday and Friday having protein spills every 5-10 min. And had to take a final exam...Ouch.

Welcome omgbrittx!!

I think omgbrittix posted here by accident. It's a teenager on the Magic June 29th cruise. Since the post was a "bump" I think it was meant for another thread.

But of course we would love it were they to be going with us as well:thumbsup2

Darn. Thought we had another cruiser with us.

Protein spills.....Disney's magical word for vomit. We found that out on our last trip while on the Monorail.

BTW, what did we decide was the name of our cruise??

Yeah, I just checked her profile. A bunch of her posts were random bumps in random cruise meet threads.

All kinds of people, weirdos included, must hang out here. I posted on another thread about my husbands R&R trip and our fabulous upgrade at the AKL and some weird dude PM'd me something to the effect of "oh baby, you rocked him all night long, didn't you? Yes, you did! Oh yeah!"

Ohsogross!

Cameron Baptist.

Did you know the late Ray Leslie, the young 1SG that died of brain cancer last fall. His oldest babysat for me a couple of times. I dropped her off at a church lock-in one night after babysitting, so I think that is their home church.

I think my hairdresser and her husband attend there sometimes, too. The Caldwells.

Small world, isn't it?
