12/24/08 Christmas Cruise on the Wonder

Congratulations on the new baby, Andy! How exciting! There is nothing quite like letting a new one fall asleep on your chest.:lovestruc

Ain't that the truth!!! Aahhhh....reminiscing. I feel you, Andy, on having to return duplicates and the like. Never thought of looking it up on Google though to find out where it came from. Nice. ::yes:: I bet you can't wait for the little guy. Or gal.

About the 12 year old.....Brenda is right. It is just getting started. My DD is 15, has ALWAYS thought she is older than she is. Oh, and to make matters worse, is four times as stubborn as the most stubborn person I know and it is actually not me! And she doesn't care what others think...most of the time. That's good and bad.

Brenda, I thought you would be more anxious with DS than DD driving. Boys are so much more reckless and part of the statistics.

Adrianna, I will certainly be thinking about you and DS. I am POSITIVE he will do splendid. You will be finished with your surgery probably before we ever even start ours. :rotfl2: Sad, but true.

I will miss you Brenda. As will everyone. :( But I understand, as I am sure we all do, about needing to be with DH. FL and then Pacific NW??? Does he need a baggage handler? I have a pair of white gloves I can wear and can act as a guide....

I'm not sure if my digital camera is a help or a hinderance at times! Like on Memorial Day when I took almost 200 photos before lunch! I'd better get a couple extra memory cards before the cruise!

ABSOLUTELY!!! Thanks. I forgot to put that on my list. On our trip in January to WDW for 5 days, I alone had over 700 pictures on my card. That didn't include DH, DS, or DD camera. Which, yes, I took pictures on theirs too when my batteries wore out. I got some really cool ones though. However, I want to do more with my camera and photography. I want to upgrade to a digital SLR. Already have one in mind. Just need to have DH look the other way for a tiny bit while I buy it. It's okay for him but not me to spend that much money!!! :lmao: I know that most of my pictures that didn't turn out well would have been much better, if even just the colors more vivid, with the camera I am fantasizing about. Okay....I just realized I may have a serious problem. I just said fantasizing in regards to a camera....But, check this out. Done with my cell phone!!!

Oh girl. I hate to be the one to break it to you,but you're just getting started. :lmao:

Hey everyone. Let's keep Adrianna's little boy in our thoughts and prayers. He goes in for his tonsilectomy tomorrow morning.:grouphug:

My DH will be coming home tomorrow. He's been in Fl for 10 days. He will only be home two or three days, then he's off to the Pacific Northwest. I may not be on much till he leaves.

Sweet dreams ya'll.

God help us all. My moody ds14 is no where near as bad as dd12.:lmao: Best wishes for your son's speedy recovery Adrianna!:grouphug:

We bought our Busch Garden tickets yesterday! It is really becoming a reality now! Woohoo!

Maybe once he gets his license. But for now, he is a much better driver. Lindsey is a curb/white line hugger. Sometimes I fear for mailboxes, parked cars, and the occassional. pedestrain:scared1: :rotfl2: .

Sorry Courtney.. All Dale's clothes are in his truck, and since he sleeps, eats, and watches TV in there, he has no need of baggage, much less a baggage handler:rotfl2: As for a guide, his truck is his guide too:lmao:

Oh ... thanks for the reminder about the battery ... better get an extra one of those too! Mine can be recharged but then I can't take pictures while it's charging! Hey ... great shot ... my cell phone shots never look that good! I would love a digital SLR before the cruise, but we're doing the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace thing right now ... have a feeling that the Digital SLR doesn't happen for a while!

You and me both! Canon digital Rebel:thumbsup2 I have the 35 mm version, and still love it. I actually take it on cruises because my Kodak easyshare doesn't take great lowlight pics, like in the dining room. If my kids would stop being so needy, I could get one.But dang it, they keep needing shoes, and clothes, and food.:rotfl2:

WOW, Whirlpool is doing alright:thumbsup2 Sounds like a very interesting job.Whirlpool...in Italy? who knew:confused3
Yeah ... I never would have imagined Italy either, but Kenny has already flown to Brazil, China and Alaska this year! In fact, another tech is in Brazil this week while he's in Italy. Next week we're heading down to Savannah for a week of training. That means training for him ... swim time for me and the kids!

Great point. I have two with my Kodak. They last several days and charge in a couple hours. I also have three 1 GB memory cards. I'm all set:thumbsup2

My friend and my sister both have that camera! I love it. That is exactly the one I'd like to get someday!

I had several batteries for my other kodak, but the one I got recently doesn't use the same type. So I'm building my supplies slow and steady :-)

One of Lindsey's friends has that camera. Her grandparents bought it for her 15th birthday. I was sooooo jealous::yes:: She also has three lenses.

Goodness. He is a busy man. I would love to have a job where I could travel. Course, I don't suppose he gets much time to see the sights.

He had three days in Alaska, but it ended up snowing an inch while he was there so he didn't get out. He'll have a couple days to venture out in Italy though. I know he's going to pick up my favorite wine for me while he's there ... it's a muscato dessert wine ... so sweet. Only kind I really have found that I like and we can only get it in Italy!

Actually took that picture with my Blackberry. iPhone pics are good too.

As for my dream....:cloud9: ....a Canon EOS 40D. I get so excited just thinking about it I could...

Yeah, when my kids graduate college and can buy all their own stuff:rotfl2: By then, we won't be able to figure out how to use them:lmao:
LOL! Thanks for the reminder! All right ... I'd better get to bed. My wonderful darlings will be up no later than eight and will be expecting me to play hard to make up for Daddy being gone. Thank God for coffee! Nice chatting!
