12/19 Wonder Anyone coming???

It is starting to become more real. I just booked my excursions (after much debate with DH).

I can't believe that in a little over 2 months we will be there.

Are they letting us book excurions now sooner than the 60 day mark? I haven't tried yet, I need to talk with the family about what we want to do.

We have never done an excursion in Nassau before, but since the temperature shouldn't be as hot as when we have cruised in the past, we thought we ought to get off and see something.

When they changed the due date for full payment they also changed the date on which you can begin to book excursions. You can now book excursion 90 days in advance.

I booked the Blackbeard's Cay & Stingray Adventure for Nassau and the Castaway Cay Getaway Package for my DH. I figured my DD and I could use the floats while my DH uses the snorkel equipment.

My counter just went under 70 days!!!!

Of course, I am having a hard time thinking the cruise is getting close because I would THEN have to accept that Thanksgiving is getting really close and since I have to do ALL of the cooking for my family (and DH's parents) I don't really look forward to this holiday at all.

My DH (a saint in disguise) has convinced his family that we should go out to eat for Thanksgiving then come back to our house for coffee.

ALL I HAVE TO MAKE IS COFFEE FOR THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!

I made our final payment today!!:teeth: Now all I have to do is wait. (I'm not very good at that:confused: )

This is such a busy time of the year that time will probably go by quickly.

I still can't believe DH decided that we should go on this second cruise this year just to see the decorations on the cruise! (Of course, the trade off is that THIS counts as our 2005 cruise and we have to wait until 2006 to go on our next one).

I am really looking forward to this trip. Our September cruise was a bit of a let down (because of the hurricane--I know Disney couldn't do anything about it, but we all did feel let down from all the excitement we felt up until that trip).

This has GOT to be a great cruise!

DJ

I hope your right DJ. The kids still have no idea. I just can't wait to see thier faces.
It's a shame about your September Cruise. I know, you were still on the ship, but I can see how it was a let down. We were on the lst cruise before the "extended mystery cruise." I don't know what we would have done if we had gone down one week later.

Well anyway.....here's to a GREAT cruise! ::yes:: ::yes::

Jennifer

Oh! I didn't realize there was another 'double' cruiser (two cruises in one year). That makes me feel better!

My 'friends' have been making a lot of comments about "How can we go on 2 cruises in 1 year?"

I must admit, I have been feeling guilty. So I am glad to see that I am not the only one!

DJ

The only reason I was able to talk DH into this Dec. cruise was because I got a great deal on 2 SPR rooms. If not for that, we wouldn't be going on this one.

Oh this is going to be such a special trip! I still remember my girls' first time to Disney (they were 4.5 at the time-twins). It was SO special. And the first time on the cruise, they turned 7 and OH MY!!! What a memory!

You will have such a great trip! Welcome to our cruise list!

Welcome Ling, We are going to WDW with our DD (5) before the cruise as well. Where are you staying?

Thanks Jennifer, DJ, and Suzanne for the welcome.

We'll be staying at HIFS at WDW, then Radisson at the Port the night before the cruise, then cabin #6620+6622 on the cruise.

DJ- a few weeks ago, I got a good mini-van rental rate from Thrifty after reading a post from you on the transportation board. Thanks for the info!

Ling

This will be our first time using Thrifty, but it is a good deal. We were able to get a great deal on airfare with Northwest, but recently I have seen where ATA is also offer good rates for the time during this cruise (so if anyone is still looking for flights and you have ATA in your area, check them out!).

We stayed at the HIFS once and the kids really liked it. It is nice having a seperate bedroom for the parents and the kids love the bunkbeds. I think you guys will like it there.

DJ

BTW, we are in room 5020. Anyone else on the 5th floor?

Hi Ling,

Welcome! We're at the Rad too the night before. I got a rate of $97, but I found one for $89 on Roomsavers. Guess they're gonna have to match it! ;) Maybe we can meet then!

I think we'll have a great time! My DD is 12 and has been emailing Michelle for several months!

We're in Room 7566 and have early dining.

d

Nice room rate, dotterson. For us, since there are 6 people in our party, the best ideal we can find is $159 for a suite with 2 beds. We plan to spend the day before cruise at WDW and check in Radisson late at night, thinking we'll be most likely still on California time then.

We have early seating on the boat, but we're debating about changing it (not sure if we feel like to have dinner around 3:30pm PST). We booked the REAS package and requested the TAPT rotation.

We're flying Southwest because of a good deal ($99 each way from CA).

Nice to meet everybody on the board and hope to see you guys on the boat.

Ling

Ling,
One advantage to the early dining is the structure of the kids' programs. They sometimes do fun stuff during the time of late dining.

We have late dining, but that is because we don't like to rush to get ready for dinner (and you don't have to dress for the shows--there is about 45 minutes after the show that you can use to go get dressed).

So for us, we like late dining, but I understand why some like the early (so the kids can attend the programs in the evening).

Just something to consider.
