Jay's dog, that I fell in love with before I fell in love with him, was an Australian Shepherd. She was the most wonderful dog in the world. I guess I didn't think there was much difference between the Aussies and the Border Collies.......I figured they needed to work. I am still saying "No pets" ...but maybe a little tiny little Yorkie? Then I would probably sit on it, like the poor kitty!:earseek:

Can't give any insight into small dogs...I tend to step on 'em so try not to own one....
:cool1:

Maybe I should just get a Pet Rock!

My Dad gave me a fluffy pink stuffed dog when I was in Omaha. I had almost forgotten that every trip he took, he brought me back a stuffed animal......started me on the baaaad habit of collecting Disney plush!

Good Morning Ladies,

Looks like I missed a good dog chat last night. Here's my 2 cents.
Our neighbor has a Border Collie. Cute hairy thing I would hate to have to comb, but the dog loves to herd dd2. Every morning at the bus stop, same thing. Its amusing to watch. Don't get puppyitis Stacey. I'm looking forward to some little thing like an Irish Wolfhound some day. You know one that can defend itself against dd5 :teeth:

Tut tut it looks like sun. Off to church then (I'll keep my fingers crossed) the back yard. Last weekend it clouded up while the girls and I were in church and we had to walk a block in the rain without jackets. It was sunny when I left home so it was supposed to be sunny all day. :umbrella:

Stacey, I can't remember when do the guys come around roasting the chilies? Or do they do that in your area?

TTFN, dd2 just showed up in the buff  -D

Denise, no chile roasters here, this is cowboy territory.........small western tourist town.
And you're right, I am getting "puppy-itis" ....and I need to focus on something else.
It's hard...there are so many little things that I miss about Molly, and I never realized I even did these things. When I pull into the driveway, I always opened my car door before I turned off the car, otherwise, she would jump on the door (not a good thing). I never do that when I park anywhere else....and I can't quit doing it.
But I am not at a point where I have the time or the patience to train a dog and I know it. I keep saying someday...when the kids are grown & gone. But then we'll want to travel more. So I just need to get used to the idea that we will have NO MORE PETS!
You made me laugh about DD in the buff.....we used to have to duct tape Jordan's diaper, and pin her jammies shut, or we would find her like that every morning. (She was a little younger than 2 tho)

Oh well....I think I will go to the mall....just have to stay away from the puppy mill (pet store)...another downfall....I think they all need to be rescued.

Have a beautiful Sunday!

Stacey

so who's watchin the oscars? anybody? :confused3 Well I tell you, Clive Owen should have won best supporting actor, and Johnny Depp better win best actor or you will have one grumpy, PO'd girl tomorrow morning. Oh and Finding Neverland should win best picture. It is by far the best picture. well thats my rant. off to watch King arthur and my wonderful Clive.

HI All

Bubbles here....

Just checking in. So Sorry I have been away. Did not mean to make anyone concerned. It just got very busy and had very little computer time. I just had my first manicure since I came back from the cruise on Saturday. Boy, were my nails in sad shape. If I don't take care of them, I start to bite them, a nasty lifetime habit I have. Just got back from skiing for the kid's winter break...have LOTS of snow here in the Northeast and getting more on Tuesday. LUV IT!!!!! What crazy weather this year for everyone.

Denise, I am glad to hear your Mom is OK. Is she all set now that her meds are straitened out?

Well, right now I am having a a glass of wine and a Trader Joe's Creme Brulee. The diet starts tomorrow. I gained 5-7 pounds on the cruise but since I was sick when I got back took that off no problem but have been on the up hill ever since and the ski week has just set me over the edge. So this is my last hooray before I starve..God, I hate to diet!!!!

Thank you for the messages while I was away from the board. I think everyone is so great on these boards and I appreciate it :love1:

Hi Jen

I'm watching...I'm afraid I haven't kept up on what's going on this year. I saw Cate Blanchette win and was glad. I have always been a big fan of hers.

thats good. I was sad that Clive Owen didn't win. He's got the best accent. He's been in so many good things. He was in Bourne Identity, BMW's the Driver series, and King arthur, not to mention Closer (<--great movie). Hopefully Johnny will win. Has anybody seen his outfit? Is it horendous?

What's up with my signature?????

What a mess!!

Hey Lynda...

What, no cruise this week?? :flower: :sunny: :flower:

Yeah, first T.O.P.

I haven't seen any of the movies Clive Owens is in. I have been meaning to watch both of the "Bourne" movies but haven't had a chance yet. He has an accent...where is he from??

Nope, gotta wait for May...
Well, that's not too long. I have to wait for Dec 2006.

Are you hooking up with other DIS'ers for that cruise?

He is from Keresley, Coventry, Warwickshire, England, UK. Wow, i would hate to have to write that on a return address. Then again, if I were him, I wouldn't be writing anything. lol. OKAY! ITS ACADEMY **** KICKING TIME!!!!!! Johnny Depp didn't win. For any of you who don't know who he is, just think of Pirates of the Caribbean and Jack sparrow. I wm so pised. oh wel.. The acedemy is dumb anyways. Well my bed is calling to me. good night everybody.

Morning All

Waiting for the snow to start. All the schools are closed and my niece, hs senior, is jumping for joy. She won't have to make up any days this year.

I am still chuckling about fluffy football and kitty cushion. Jesse and Sam stand around and act like hurdles. Both catch me around the knees!!

Good morning all,

Hey Bubbles welcome back :cool1:

We are off to the bus stop and then out to find some clients so we can go on our xmas2006 cruise.

oops dd2 is at it again....the buff bandit rides again.

cheers to you all and Happy Monday. -D

I KNOW who he is. I'm not that old :rotfl: ;) :rotfl: Sorry he didn't win for you.

I'm a big Ray Charles Fan so I thought Jamie Fox winning was pretty cool. I have the movie waiting in queue on Netflix. It says I have a "long wait".

I went to bed right after that. I just wasn't into it this year.

Hey Denise....

Nice to be back. Is it that hot out there you all have to run around in the buff

We are going to get ANOTHER storm tonite. That means no school. I hate snow days. All my daycare kid parents are teachers so if the school year gets extended, my work gets extended. So far we have to make up two and looks like after tomorrow it will be three...

How's your Mom???
