I was going backwards reading about the Oscars and Johnny Depp. My Jordan (almost 15) thinks he is "hot". I take great joy in telling her that he is my age!! So she says he's a hot "old guy". I love kids. Anyone want to adopt a smart-aleck girl?

You're lucky..all's we have within driving distance is the Indians in CT. It's a nice place but no competion means stingy comps. FIL likes to gamble and he is getting us a comp'ed room at the RIO before and after our stay at The Carraige House in April. I hope it's a suite. I don't know much about that hotel.

Jared saw the eye doc today....glasses are coming his way. At least he won't keep getting hit in the nose at baseball. I can't imagine what it will be like for him to see, after having it blurry. I guess I could if I take my glasses off and put them back on again!

Stacey, How does Jared feel about glasses? Some of my relatives have had that eye surgery and are always bugging me to get it. I don't know. When it comes to your eyes, one false move and......

MaryAnn, too bad we miss eachother by only a week!!

Jared isn't bugged by having to get glasses....he picked the frames that are totally rimless, so it isn't quite so noticeable. I think he's just glad that he'll be able to see, and hopefully never get his nose broken again!
I wear progressives.....no way is anyone going to cut/laser/whatever MY eyes! We only get two....as much as I HATE wearing glasses, I still won't have sugery. I have contacts that I wear when I absolutely don't want to wear the glasses. ANd for me, even if I had surhery, I'd still have to wear glasses for either close-up or distance, they can't fix both.
You made me laugh...I graduated in '76.......

aww! your so lucky! I want a DVD camera so badly. That and a Cannon Digital Rebel. The two best cameras on the market. Oh well. I guess i will have to work a lot more hours at target before i can afford them.

The more I think about it, it doesn't seem like such a bad deal....especially the part about "no sales pitch"! But someone will have to be standing by with the new camera in hand...a sight like that might make "Funniest Home Videos"

Some poor woman at the restaurant last night must have bought a couple of cameras and couldn't afford any clothes. Her hubby had on jeans and a plol, she was wearing pajamas and a bathrobe! She didn't look sick, walked okay....so I don't think she'd just come from the hospital or anything.....
I can almost say that I have seen it all!!

Jen...I got my new Canon Power Shot Pro1 digital right before the Christmas cruise....it is a sweet camera! And even better now that I know how to use it....I had to keep reading the manual throughout the cruise!!
