I know, I'm looking for my scarf to wear today!

By Wednedsday, Key West is forcast to be sunny with a high of 79! That's getting to be more like it!

I can deal with 79! :cool1:

Yes, it's really cold here too....teens this morning...I was the same way...where ARE those gloves....

Honestly, I don't think I wore them last Winter at all!

Since I was looking at weather stuff, I just checked the 10 day for Atlanta...right now they're thinking that pretty much all of next week will be lows in the 30s, highs in the 60s, right through the weekend. Good news for those traveling through Atlanta! :cool1: (Or those of us driving out of Atlanta--like ME!)

No surprise here - rain today through 12/17. What's new??? Temps in the 40s up until we leave on the 15th. Same 'ol, same 'ol.

It's Friday!!!!! I need to post 2nd semester mid-term grades to parents today. Oh, what fun - NOT!!!

It was 10 degrees here this morning! Wind chills supposed to be -4 to 6 above today. At least there isn't any snow to speak of!

One week from today we head south!!!! I cannot believe we are getting so close!!!

Yes, but I'm thinking 40s mean no snow when you're trying to fly out...sometimes same old, same old isn't all bad... :goodvibes

OK, I have put it off as long as I can, I have done every chore I can think of, now I have to go out into the cold. I just called and harrassed DH--he was nice enough to take my car in for service today. He doesn't mind doing it when he doesn't have a meeting or something because they have a little office area he can use. That's all well and fine, but when I got into his car a bit ago--NO GAS!!!! NO GAS!!!! Have I mentioned that it is FREEZING outside! 20 degrees and windy (has warmed up from the teens earlier.) I called and told him how fondly I'd be thinking of him as I braved the cold to fill up HIS car. Mine was nice and full, thank you! :sad2:

Have a good day everyone! Just remember none of any of this is going to matter soon...VERY soon.... :yay: :yay: :yay:

Hi--good idea.

I just voted, but my screen name isn't what yahoo has for me. So the att e-mail address you see there is from 3pirates!

Yeah, I figured that would happen in a couple of cases, but you can compare it with the member list to clear some of them up. And if nothing else, we can do a check here once people have voted. I think the main thing is to exclude anyone who definitely does not want to participate in the game.

Hi all---

Well it is 48 here in sunny Orlando. With the wind it is so cold. Would not want to be up on decks 9 or 10 today.

Yes, like I mentioned ---we went to KSC for the launch. I hate last minute scrubs. They say they will try Sat evening, then Sunday, Mon, Tues. There are alot of windows. They can only do 2 days in a row of attempts then one day off for fuel refreshment. They feel certain they will get it off for sure early in the week as weather clears a bit. Can you believe it costs $500,000 per scrub. Our tickets are still good if you go back for the future attempts unfortunately this is my DH's Christmas party and he is on call.

Great Idea!!!! I just voted (Yes). I'm Dee1024 over there.

Hi everyone...hope all are well and stay warm to those who need to...here some sunshine to help you warm up :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: three suns is about 80 degrees worth....:goodvibes

Have lots to do today and have a full schedual. Hard when your the only one doing all the planning and everything but if you want to be sure nothing is missing and know exactally what you have it's best to do it yourself. Dh has aksed if he could help many times and I did have him clean out the refrigerater...lol...and he did a great job :thumbsup2 he is also in charge of the Travelors checks

I still can't believe that I am leaving on Monday!!! I say "I" like I'm going alone but you get it...I mean we (my family).

WDW is alot of fun but also very hectick(sp) on not only the parents but the kids as well so I am looking forward to just chilling on the cruise.

I am going to start to get myself ready for this busy day...I will check in later...and I also voted "Yes" on the DIS Tag.

And Sherrena..thanks for the info on the schedual and all on Angelas yahoo, I went right away and did that :thumbsup2

All have a safe blessed day!!!

Thanks for setting that up, Nej...I loved the choices :goodvibes .

Robin, if I were leaving Monday, boy would I be in a lot of trouble. Still so much to get straitened away before Friday. No Traveler's Checks this year. On the advice from the main boards I purchased Disney Gift cards from our school SCRIP program. Saves a trip to the bank and I am just going to give the cards at check in for onboard credit and it made $140 for our school :thumbsup2 :cool1: .

No gift cards here :( . I have to go to the bank and get traveller's checks and cash. Probably going to do that this afternoon so it is done as I won't be able to do it this weekend and I doubt I will have the time during the week next week. Getting close!!! So much to do and not nearly enough time! Packing to finish, shopping to do, house to clean up, Mom's stuff to get moved....and work!

Whose kids are wearing costumes for pirate night?? Samantha decided she wanted one just the other day. I found one on sale online and am hoping it gets here in time! They said I should have it by Wednesday so I am keeping my fingers crossed! :goodvibes

I think Kev is! He chose his Halloween costume with that in mind....

At least she won't be the only one, then. DH will NOT wear a costume and I haven't found one I like that I feel I can spend the money on. I did find DH a t-shirt to wear but he doesn't know about it yet :rotfl2: . And I have my Jack Sparrow t-shirt! :sunny: pirate: I also have pirate earrings and eye patches so we will be good.

Hi everyone,

Talked to my son's orthopedic surgeon today. Bad News. She said he tore his ACL and lateral meniscus, his bones are very bruised, and she wants him to wear a brace on vacation. He has to have surgery and will have 6-9 months of rehab till he is back to normal. There goes his plans for track. I'm so depressed. I don't want my baby to have surgery!

Gotta go. Family is coming over to celebrate Christmas since we will be gone. Have to get ready for them.

Wow, I am sorry to hear that! At least the doctor didn't tell you he couldn't go on the cruise, though!
