Is there a list somewhere of the DIS members that are going on the Holiday Cruise? I am considering going and would like to know if anyone I know is already booked. Hopefully will have my decision by tomorrow.

Thanks!
Pam

Hi Everyone,
If you think that it is way to chlorinated because you smell chlorine or because your eyes sting it is because there is not ENOUGH chlorine in it and the chemicals are off balance...I take care of my pool at home that is how I know

we don't use chlorine at home. We use Silver ions and ozone filters. So we end up with a non-chlorinated pool that is even cleaner than chlorinated ones. you can open your eyes and no stinging whatsoever....

I hate washing socks! Why can't my guys turn their socks the right side out?!? :confused3 It is such a small thing but it would make doing the laundry alittle easier. Wishful thinking!

I say we give Jen all the kids one evening and see what happens :lmao: !

Yes, it does happen. Frequently these days. Oh well. She tells me she hates me and I tell her that's ok, she doesn't have to like me, I am her mother and I still love her anyway :goodvibes . She still doesn't quite know what to make of that response.

Kat..I hear this all the time at my house too. My DD started her "moody moments" (a nice way to put it) when she was about 10 and now that she is 13 the "I hate you" is always followed by a slamming door (always a nice touch). But in the heat of the moment I usually ignore her because she is usually just trying to push my buttons (which happens too). I do like your response, I'm gonna pull that one out when I need it. Raising girls is rough, little women they are. My DS is 9 (almost 10) so I am sure as he approaches the teens he will turn on me too (right now he is still pretty cuddly, he would die if he heard me telling that). We've just got to hang in there. And have a cocktail or 2 on the boat :cheer2:

Also... on to a happier thought, does anyone have any ideas about what kind of gifts you are bringing for the kids for Christmas? I'm thinking they have to be small (to pack). Are there any items that can be ordered and delivered to your staterooms on Christmas as a surprise (outside of room service or flowers)? I'm trying to come up with something clever and unique but with work, I'm a hair stylist so I give all the creativity I have to my clients and then the old brain is fried.

Happy Saturday to you all, I am off to do hair. :sunny:

If my DH puts his socks into the laundry inside out then he gets them back inside out and he can turn them rightside out to put them on. I gave up turning them rightside out a long time ago and he has never complained about it!

I have only ever seen the standard "gifts" they have on the DCL site. I did find some cute little Disney picture frames on ebay that I got for very little $ and I have picked up some cute Diseny pens here and there (mostly ebay too, though a few at the Diseny store) that I am putting in the stockings I am bringing along and hanging with the 3m removable hangers that are apparently DCL approved. I also found a nice pair of earrings for DD. I got a really cute little heart ornament on clearance from Hallmark last year that I was going to make into a necklace but now I am not sure because she is no longer into necklaces (not a girly girl, mom!). I am still bringing that so if you think your 13yo would be into something like that.... And of course, I bought more Jibbitz for her crocs!!!!

So Halloween is over, why does the DCL site still show the Halloween gifts on thei gifts and amenities page?? When do the post the Christmas ones? They need to get with the program!

Morning everyone! :surfweb:

Jen, love your horse picture!

As far as small gifts, that's about all mine are getting--they know the cruise is a big part of their Christmas...but we are trying to bring them SOMETHING.
Luckily, they have given ideas...DS10 wants his own digital camera, DS14 wants tickets to an event...Jewelry would be fun for DD...or a new watch...Disney actually does even have some cute themed stuff you can get, either through other merchants or Disney shopping.

I'm not sure WHAT could be delivered...I'm guessing before the cruise happens they will come up with a Holiday themed basket of some sort, but they haven't yet.

I know they put the Halloween one out there the first week of October.

That's all I've got--hope it helps!

Off to Lacrosse tournament later today.... :moped:

Good morning, Sherrena! Crisp, chilly fall morning here. Waiting for Mom to get up so I can get her fed and dressed, then we are off for an afternoon of ladies' shopping and errands.

It's a little chilly here as well...

I think it is supposed to get to about 60 and sunny later....hopefully it will warm up quickly--back to back Lacrosse games could be rough if it's cold! :goodvibes
