Kat..I hear this all the time at my house too. My DD started her "moody moments" (a nice way to put it) when she was about 10 and now that she is 13 the "I hate you" is always followed by a slamming door (always a nice touch). But in the heat of the moment I usually ignore her because she is usually just trying to push my buttons (which happens too). I do like your response, I'm gonna pull that one out when I need it. Raising girls is rough, little women they are. My DS is 9 (almost 10) so I am sure as he approaches the teens he will turn on me too (right now he is still pretty cuddly, he would die if he heard me telling that). We've just got to hang in there. And have a cocktail or 2 on the boat
Also... on to a happier thought, does anyone have any ideas about what kind of gifts you are bringing for the kids for Christmas? I'm thinking they have to be small (to pack). Are there any items that can be ordered and delivered to your staterooms on Christmas as a surprise (outside of room service or flowers)? I'm trying to come up with something clever and unique but with work, I'm a hair stylist so I give all the creativity I have to my clients and then the old brain is fried.
Happy Saturday to you all, I am off to do hair.
