I want a tree too! We have gone away the last 3 christmases and have a small tree we take with us but too big to fly across the country and store on a cruise.

After payday I will have to look at target for a small tree.

i don't even know if they have set Christmas yet...i think they wait until after they dump most of the halloween candy....i just know that from experience (i work there)

We found an adorable tree at WDW yesterday. It was about 18" high. Has mini Mickey head ornaments on it and lights up too. Might even play music. If I hadn't bought two trees already I would have picked one up. They might have it on the Disney shopping site.

thats cute..we are already bringing 7 stuffed suitcases for 4 people..no room for that (we use all our suitcases)

Our Target has an aisle set up with Christmas things, but not a whole lot yet. I hate rushing the holidays but I'm so excited to buy things for our cruise. Lowe's has quite a few things already. Especially trees.

I'm not sure how my teens would tolerate a Disney tree. They are too :smooth: . I have already told them they are dressing up for Pirate night, and formal night. I think I have already pushed the envelope!

no...formal night is required to ener the dining rooms....

Know the feeling, my oldest went through a stage like that. He will now tolerate some Disney things, like an AP, but I'm not sure how far I could push him. The little one, who is going on the cruise, tried really hard not to get a Pirate shirt for Pirate night, but after my suggesting so many times she finally found one she liked. Now we are discussing the skirt and so far she's okay with what I have in mind. I guess if "I" can dress silly, so can she. But as for the tree, no one has said no to anything, besides, they're just gonna have to be surprised with what I pick out. And DEAL with it. :cool1:

Rather than take up space in our luggage and our room with a tree, I have a really neat gel type window cling of a Christmas tree that I am putting on the mirror over the desk. The "little" tree we have at home is just over three feet tall and is fiber optic. It usually goes in the front window. The big tree goes in the family room. This year we aren't going to put up the big tree so the smaller one will go in the family room. We are already bringing three large suitcases, one will contain DH's dive gear and I don't have another suitcase large enough for that tree. If I find a small tabletop paper tree (those folding tissue kind?) I might get one but I'd almost rather find a small folding palm tree I can decorate with paper ornaments! We have some nice stockings I made that will hang inside the room for decoration, and some lights, so we will be festive without taking up a lot of space. We always seem to run out of surfaces and storage space anyway.

I thought the palm tree with lights and ornaments would have been so cute, but the family nixed it. :(

i'm sure the dive equipment takes up alot of space as it does with us

Your right Jen,
Formal night is recomended(sp) but not required...we never dress formal and we always go to dinner on formal night. We just dress as we would any other dinner night. 1/2 people dress formal the other 1/2 does not. However because it is christmas more people may dress formal. We will be dressed for the holiday but no room to carry a gown or a tux.

So who here is dressing formal on formal night :sunny:

Hi all

My car (one year old) is in the shop getting only an "oil change" done until the dreaded call that I need an alignment, a special bolt, something done to the breaks all to the tune of $550.00 dollars. Not at all what I had budgeted for.

I am housebound until I get it back.

Last friday completed 160 loot/grab bags for my charity event and reorganized my basement and sorted all the donated toys by age, and gender - glad that is done now.

Hope you all have a great day. Hope to confirm my reservations at Disney before and after the cruise today. Anyone know how soon before the Cruise the travel doc's are sent out???

Thanks

Denise

We'll be dressing up. Not sure if hubby is bringing his kilt or a suit yet. DD just got a new dress for homecoming, not sure if I'll buy anything new. It would be nice since our photo's will have me repeating clothes :) but I just don't feel like buying anything new until I loose a bit of weight.

i will be wearing the same dress as last time providing i still fit in it
