My parents are 3 hours away and in their 70s (Mom has alzheimers) and I spend a lot of time driving back and forth. pixiedust: You have friends to listen if you need it.

OK, I wore clogs too--but they're kinda back in style now, so that makes us cool! :smooth:

Here's the REAL question--how many of you are, like me, waiting to buy your cruise crocs until the Disney ones come out? They look like the regular ones, except have ::MickeyMo shaped cutouts instead of round holes!! They are supposed to be shipping them in November. I talked to the people we know who own a little store nearby that sells crocs, but he is only getting kids sizes. The adult may be harder to score. Still, I'm a determined woman on a mission. I only have the crocs sandals, and was going to get a pair of the "clog" style for the Winter and the cruise. (Good for walking, good for the beach, what's not to love!) Ever since I heard about the DIS ones, I've been chomping at the bit!

If I get them and my cute Cafepress shirt, I'm ready to go! :thumbsup2

I was but then I saw the the adult sizes (preorder available from the nofear catalog I believe) only come in black with red strap, red with black strap, pink with pearl strap and pearl with pink strap. :( Not my choice of colors. I love the blue but it's only in the kid's size. I have a pair of the original crocs in silver so I will live with those and if they come out with the character crocs that I have read about I will look at those. Supposedly they are going to have theme ones (Pooh, Pixar character, Fairies and POTC) but I haven't seen anything about them except for the original press release :( . So DD and I each got a pair of the Nile sandals and we each have a pair of the Cayman's and I have my primas and that's enough for now. If the character ones come out before the cruise and we like them we may get those too, otherwise I think we are fine for now.

Still looking for my plain black ladies' t-shirt to put my pirate iron-on, though. No one around her has them in short sleeve now, only long sleeve :worried: . I can find them online at hanes but would rather not have to order them online. Ugh.

And we were wondering where things stand on the t-shirt--last we knew Dee told you she needed something to send in, and we don't know where it went from there.

Hey guys, popping in in the midst of a project to let you know that WE CAN WAIT A YEAR+ BEFORE BRACES!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!

I have some pages to catch up on, and I'll get to the shirts this week -- PROMISE! JUst need to finish this monster deadline. Should be tonight!

Denise -- thinking of you and your dad. Lots of PD! :pixiedust:

Hi all

I heard from my mom just a little while ago. My dad is in ICU hooked up to all sorts of machines.

The severity of the heart attack was mild. He is still having (again having) chest pains so they are concerned he is about to have another one.

He also has an infection and is on heavy duty antibiotics. For now they are going to have him on a special monitor to keep an eye on him.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. It was very strange and unnerving to sit here all alone with no one I could reach via telephone so I sought comfort via the DIS boards. Talking about it helps.

The funny thing is about 4 weeks ago he had a total medical including heart tests etc (he was very sick about 5 years ago where he almost died of blood poisoning) and he goes for regular check-up and got a clean bill of health.

My mother does not drive and she will have to get around with my siblings. She told me to wait until tomorrow and she will keep me posted. For now he is stable.

Thanks again and I'll keep you all posted.

 That's great news, Dee.

LOTS of pages to catch up on - you guys are going to fast for me. Although, I have to tell you Robin, Post #9032 made me spit my soda out - :lmao: . I also, entered adulthood kicking and screaming all the way. I was a bit of a wild child (OK, maybe more of a derilict, Shanty -Jonathan Edwards was my anthem), but you have me beat. Thanks for the laugh.

I thought I would hear back by now about some transportation options to Pineapple Beach, but have heard nothing...I'm being ignored :confused3. I have made my ressie, but I think I will visit cruisecritic to see what people are using for transportation over there. Last I saw posted was $54 for 1-3 people. I just wanted to let anyone who was interested know, I am still working on it.

T-Shirts.......do I just go onto this site and order what I want? Is the artwork on file? Computer idiot here (not much powerpoint involved in diaper changing these days  ), so step by step would go a long way for this gal  .

Is anyone heading to WDW after the cruise??????

Will be at WDW from the 11th to cruise...both Dee and I will be at the BC Resort same time...although she gets there couple days before we do.

Denise - You will be in our prayers too! Sounds like they are doing everything possible! :grouphug:

My dad passed away 10 years ago a from a heart attack and an ER nightmare 45 minute wait the first night to be told go home and take your medicine and see your doctor Monday & a 2 1/2 hour wait the second night while having a "mild heart attack" while others were getting fingers stitched, paperwork was being processed and other relatively minor incidents.

Disclaimer - We know that doctors and triage nurses are human and everyone makes mistakes. We also know that there are case by case situations.

In our case, I worked closely for three months after my dad passed with the hospital to establish new guidelines for triage for patients with a history of heart issues. Hopefully saving many lives over the last 10 years.

Dee :cheer2: :cheer2: I am so glad you are going! :cheer2: :cheer2: Ryan keeps talking about how great his new friend is and how fun it is going to be on the cruise.
