$5? how! i want a coupon!

When you order there is a place to put a discount code in the payment area. This one is supposed to be good for $5 off a $20 order until November 7, the code is VOWELECHOED. I haven't tried it yet so I can't guarantee it. They sometimes have $10 coupons too so I was waiting to see if they had one of those :confused3 . I know, I'm bad. Actually, I'm just poor right now and someone introduced me to the sites where you can find online coupons for most anything they sell online! But I can't find one that works for one way car rentals from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral, darn it! They all want you to drop back off at Orlando or to drop off at Sanford.

no problem. I see I am not the only one who couldn't sleep this morning!

Great, the 10yo gets up, comes in here and asks if she can post to the kids' board. Then when I ask if she wants breakfast she says "What, you ask if I want breakfast when it isn't even time for me to get up yet? I'll be exhausted. No thanks! I'm going back to bed!" and then she stomps off in a huff! I think I am going to just love the next 8 or 9 years, NOT! :lmao:

Well, while I am talking to myself..... Saw the huge promo display poster for the DVD release for POTC II at Meijer last night! Even DD stopped dead in her tracks, turned and started at it for several minutes! :rotfl:

Morning everyone! :sunny:

It's weird being in a different time zone--I end up responding to everyone's comments after they are all in bed!

My advice to those feeling stressed about the trip--formerly me, but I THINK I'm doing better. Make a list. Once you write the stuff down, then you don't have to think about it as much. Then do ONE thing every couple of days. It isn't as much as it seems, just overwhelming when you think about it all at once. Now ask me again next week! :teeth:

OK, done for now. Today I won't be doing any of that. DS14 is finally turning 14, so between getting hair done (yea) and finishing up birthday errands my to-do list is long enough. (He pretty much knows what he is getting--the ONE surprise was from his brothers and I had it in the back of my car--for some reason he got into there yesterday.) :bitelip: Oh well....no surprises this year...

Jen and everyone, on the celeb thing they've slowed down the clues and stuff on the cruise line one and concentrated on the community one. But I think when there is an announcement it should be everywhere. It's hard to bookmark the community one because they start a new thread every day. I haven't checked today, but it went Good Morning, Good Sunday Morning, Good Tuesday morning...etc.

Speaking of DS14, time to drag him out of bed. (The other two are gone.)

And Kat, sounds like you're getting an early dose of life with teenagers--enjoy! I remember being shocked the first few times my adorable well behaved child acted that way. Now it is standard. Here's some pixie dust to help you deal... pixiedust:

Thanks, Sherrena! I have been dealing with it for a while so it is nothing new. I just know I have that much longer. Because of the way they have deadlines in our state she is one of the oldest in her class and will actually turn 18 just as she is starting her senior year in high school! So I know I have almost 9 more years of it before she is ready to go off to college or whatever she chooses after graduation!

I am trying not to get stressed about the cruise. It is mostly working because there is too much else to be stressed about right now! Between getting ready for the holidays and the situation across the street at my mother's I have enough to worry about so the cruise isn't even in the stress zone right now :sunny: .

It is COLD here today. 28 when I passed the temp sign at the cemetery (yes the cemetery I drive by every day has a time/temp sign, don't ask me). But at least the sun is shining.

A time/temp sign at the cemetary? That's a first for me! :rotfl2:

We're at 55 right now, supposed to get into the 60s, but then cool off quite a bit by tomorrow....just in time for the weekend! Can't complain though, Halloween was nice for trick-or-treat, and ya can't have it all!

When I was expecting my first DS I told the women I worked with that the 9th month of pregnancy was God's way of making you WANT to go through labor. One of them with older children said that was true, and that the teenage years are God's way of making you WANT them to move out--I'm starting to see what she meant! ;)

It seems like there is a lot going on--and I don't have an issue with family needing care (right now). It's just stressful thinking Christmas has to be ready a few weeks early, and cruise details handled as well. Oh well, the payoff should be worth it. When we're sitting on that lovely boat having a :drinking1 we won't remember any of this....

Yeah, the cemetery just put in a new sign that has one of those electronic light portions at the bottom. It is in color and they have been having a seasonal portion with a changing message and time/temp display. Really bizarre. What is worse is that the road in front of the cemetery still has some nasty spots in front of it where several weeks ago we had a hit and run that killed a woman. She and her BF were walking down the road in the middle of the night (drunk) and got in a fight. She wandered into the road and a car hit her and drove off, then another car ran over her. They aren't sure which one actually killed her but the road is still a mess several weeks and muliple rainfalls later! Not at all fun to drive past :sad2: , knowing why the spots are there.

As for needing care, yeah, DM needs lots of care and we are going to have to give her live-in caregiver (DH's sister) the boot very soon, before we go on the cruise! So are trying to arrange for someone to care for mom while we are gone. That is my stress point right now. :headache:

I am definitely going to need a :drinking1 or two by cruise time and I am NOT a drinker (alcoholic ex-husband made sure of that!).

Being around alcoholics can do that to you....but with your diabetes it's probably a good thing anyhow...alcohol is all sugar!

But if you don't have an alcoholic :drinking1 you can still have something special in a fun glass!
