i would def. suggest making reservations as early as possible...everything is so crowded...the Steak restuarant in the Yacht Club is a must....if you love steak go there its amazing....make sure to utilize your fast pass (ride times for test track were always greater than 3 hours for groups and 1.5 hrs for single rider...space mountain was 4+ for groups and 2 for standby)...as far as what do see...make sure to see Illuminations...that's always fun...i don't know what else to say...we just did all our favorite things...

Random data point #2, SWMBO and I ate at the Yacht Club steakhouse last summer and were unimpressed. Mostly had to do with having to send my steak back twice. First I ordered it medium and it came back mooing. (I mean, barely cooked). So I told them I wanted a pink center. The second time wasn't much better. I can't eat rare meat, it upsets my stomach and I explained that. My wife didn't think much of her steak either. We both thought Le Cellier in Canada (Epcot) was better.

But to each his own. We may have caught the place on a bad night.

OK, here are my ADRs for the pre-cruise week. Got Disney, we MUST meet sometime at BCV that week!

Also -- shall those of us doing the MVMCP on the 14th meet someplace? At least for a short meeting? In '04 we all watched Wishes together...

12/11 Ohana 8:30AM

12/11 Cindy's Castle 1:05PM

12/12 50s Prime Time Diner 1:05PM

12/13 Mexico 1PM

12/15 RFC @ AK 5:45PM

I may have to do LTT or CPP in addition to the above...And Garden Grill...Or Chef Mickey...

oh i eat nothing more than rare beef (raw is good too..Steak tar tar yummy!)...so we love it...each steajk house has different definitions of medium...i'm sorry you didn't like it...we've never had a bad meal

MMMM, steak tar tar. Yummmy. I like my hamburgers pink inside and my steaks red! No grey meat for me!!!!!

Good morning!

How's everyone who's NOT renting a car getting to port? I have the DCL transport option, but last time I used it we got onboard at 2:30 PM (YUCK!). Any preferences on car / shuttle companies? I would hate to rent a car for just 1 day...

Yeah, it wasn't the first time I sent it back that bothered me. It was the second. When I said -- "just a touch of pink in the center", that is enough for most of the steakhouses to figure out -- even Outback can usually get it right after that and they are one of the worst for consistent steak, IMHO. Living in Chicagoland, we have lots of good steakhouses and I rarely, pun intended, have a problem.

Seems like the cook either was afraid to overcook the steak, which is often a sign of either a bad cook or a bad cut of meat, or didn't care.

We are coming up on the deadline to be paid in full aren't we? :hourglass For those that didn't do so already, anyway :goodvibes . How many already have????

I am still working on stockings. If you have gotten a PM from me about stockings and not responded, please do. If not you will get whatever characters I have left. I am down to Hercules, 7 dwarves, Lady and the Tramp and Eeyore at this point.

If you are new to the board, please PM me about stockings :wave2: . If you haven't been on the board for a while and you have not PM'd me about stockings, please do so :listen: ! I want to include everyone but I can't include people I don't hear from :confused3

Actually, we are renting. We come in Friday night and are renting a car and driving to port the next morning. Then we are renting for part of a day when we get back as our flight doesn't leave until late evening on the 26th. It is still cheaper than the DCL transport for the three of us! I think I am renting through Thrifty. For two of you the transport will be cheaper than renting, though. If we had several others driving and could combine luggage, etc we might be able to do that. We don't have a very big car, though, so with the three of us, our luggage, plus DH's dive gear we could maybe fit one more person.

By the way, Dee, I don't see why we couldn't add you to our table at Palo for brunch if your other one falls through. Let me know and I can call and ask them.

Mary Ann, how soon before we will know about the room? Another month isn't it?

I am just going to post this again really quick..

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME DIRECTLY FROM THE BOARDS
I will not get it...

OH, MAN!!! When will I ever learn to stay off the budget board???? They posted a 25% off + free shiping code for hasbro.com...(FALL25 if anyone else wants to start their shopping early)

Just bought $215 worth of toys. Got all my presents for my day care kids for Christmas, next year's birthdays and Julia's birthday coming up.

Good Luck, Heidi :wizard: :wizard:

Why so late, Dee. That would make me crazy knowing that ship is just sitting there waiting for me and I can't get to it when I want.

I think that's why I have always rented a car. I love being in the terminal before it gets jammed packed.

We are flying in and driving down to the port the night before. Got a deal on the Residence Inn by Marriott I could not pass up.

I was told 30 days, but I have sent three emails to Tammy @ DU since we did on-line ressies, to make sure nobody has reserved the room yet, and she has not responded to any of them yet. Perhaps not a good sign :confused3. I wish she would at least respond, so I know she is looking into it.

I did want to ask.....if that date is taken, is the group open to perhaps trying to get it for another day????
