I think you might have missed a day or two! You are so darn close!

Yea, life is crazy right now!! Between 3 days of sub plans, Morgan's testing for his 2nd part of his 3 part black belt test in karate, Lily's cheering for flag football homecoming....aack!

Holy cow! Look at that ticker!! You are down to only 4 days! ARe you feeling ready? Packed?

I like the idea of leaving Saturday open. You never know what is going to be the new favorite, or the missed thing/attraction/show/ride etc... Good to play the last day by ear.

So you have a sane exit time. You'll have to leave at 8:30 on Sunday, which isn't really too bad.

Excited??

I am not packed at all!! In fact, my favorite bra just broke (can I say that here?) and I'm going bra shopping tomorrow!

My kids are almost packed, and my mom is packed. She just got more pain meds in case she needs to take extra while we're there so that will help. Right now all the kids are excited about is Downtown Disney (Lego store!! Make your own pony bucket!!) and "meeting the fairies"

I think Saturday's plan is a good one too. Last time we went we didn't have a chance to ever say yes to the kids when they wanted to do something again. If no one has any suggestions, we can always go to AK which we don't have on the agenda right now.

So, here's the sitch!

I'm trying to be excited, but my Type A self is having a hard time. I ordered 5 shirts (3 Star Wars Disney for DHS, Minnie as Tink, and a Goofy shirt) from one Etsy seller. I still haven't gotten them!!! On Monday she told me they were almost ready. I've emailed her every day since then and haven't heard from her!

I know I have to let it go. My kids have other clothes. They'll be okay if they don't match every day with themed clothing. But I have to say I'm freaking out! My perfectionist self just can't seem to get past it...

UPDATE on the shirt sitch:

I finally got an email from her with a tracking number. She mailed them yesterday by USPS priority mail. Now, if I had sold something to someone in September, promised it by October 10, and mailed it on October 8, I probably would have mailed it by something other than USPS (like, oh say, Fedex...)

But anyway, I went to the post office and the wonderful manager was there. He said that it had left St. Louis last night and there was nothing he could do to expedite it. But he took my cell number and said that he would call me tomorrow if it came. AND he said that he would be at work on Monday morning at 7 AM, so if it came in then he would call me and let me come get it even though they're closed on Monday!! He rocks!

So, there is a glimmer of hope that my children will be dressed in matching embroidered thematic clothing!

Okay caught up on your halloween trip countdown!!! RE the shirts, YAY, I am sure they will come in -- they could even be there tomorrow -- Priority is 2 -3 days!! ALSO MUST do spaceship earth, really! Totally worth it! And the exploratory exhibits at the end are great!!!!

Thanks Liesa. I know we'll have a fabulous time. My mom hasn't been feeling so well lately and part of me is so glad to have this time with her where she can go and do things like this. And seeing her and Lily together -- priceless!

So, Shirt sitch update: There's good news and bad news. The postal service guy actually called me this morning and the package arrived! I rushed and bought him some Krispy Kreme doughnuts before I went to pick it up. The bad news is that she screwed up two of the shirts. I ordered a Goofy as Darth Vader for Sam to wear to DHS. Well, she put it on the kids' size for Morgan. And she put Morgan's Goofy applique on the adult size for Sam. So, Morgan will now be wearing a Goofy Darth Vader shirt to the MK (I'm sure people are going to wonder why he isn't wearing it to DHS.) I was momentarily upset, but what are you going to do. It's not like I had time to have them redone. I wasn't going to make a big deal out of it, but now I will tell her name I'm just so annoyed. Her etsy name is kimsstitchintime. I had also ordered the Goofy on an orange shirt and the DHS ones on black, but she did them all on white. So, Morgan will have on a white shirt everywhere we go! Oh well, let it go....

Lily & I went and got our toes done today. She got pink with Minnie Mouse heads on them and I got red with Mickey heads. They look cute even though they aren't exactly what I was expecting. The girl who usually does my pedicures just freehand draws on my toes, but she wasn't there. The girl who did them today airbrushed the drawings on. I'll have to try and get a picture.

I'm going to lie down a little bit now (lots of errands today) and then start packing tonight.

Oh Shannon, I can't believe that after the whole mess with the shirts being late, then they were wrong when they got to you. Ewwwww, that is really annoying!

Thanks y'all. It was completely annoying. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do now, so I have to just let it go. It's not worth letting it ruin my trip. I just have to make do with what we have.

I thought about asking for a refund, but honestly I 'm not sure if I even want to deal with her anymore. Y'know?? Everyone else I dealt with was so amazingly awesome and easy, but she has made my life difficult for the past week!!

So, here I am 2 days out from our family trip, and I have a dilemma with our December trip. We were booked for our first night (Saturday) at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Disney. Well, now I'm reading that they aren't going to be ready for their opening (although I'm only reading that on the boards. I haven't gotten any official notification.) My dilemma is this: Do I
1) take a chance that they will be ready and wait and see
2) jump off the sinking ship like lots of people on the boards are and try and find another hotel room
3) try to change our ressie for OKW and pay cash for Saturday night
4) try to find a room at a different onsite hotel

Yeah, even if you were able to contact her, it took a month to get your shirts (at the last minute) I doubt she's going to give you any type of refund. It's just too bad. It will be fine, as you said, and you guys will have a great trip! 2 more days!!!

We've had 2 great park days. MK was fun yesterday although the Halloween party was very wet for a little while. We basically did the whole park! DHS was great today! TSMM is worth all the hype!! We've taken lots of pictures including food porn so stay tuned for those.
