Okay...I'm going to attempt this TR and hopefully it won't be too bad! I think I waited too long to do this and I didn't take any notes this time. Our last trip before this was in March this year. We don't usually go twice in one year. This was a little unexpected. Dh was going for a conference. I went back to work in September, so between that and our busy schedule with the kids, I had a really hard time planning this trip. We ended up with only 1 PS, which i made late so I didn't get what I wanted. But since we had gone already this year, this wasn't going to be a major trip. Anyway...dh went up on the 6th but dd1 had a dance performance on the 7th, so we decided to just join him after the conference was over on the 10th.

The girls and I arrived at MCO around noon on 12/10 (Tuesday). Dh had vouchers for Mears, so Mears ended up being the cheapest way for us to go this time. We had never used Mears before...usually a towncar or taxi. Got our Mears vouchers and got on a bus within about 5 minutes. The ride from the airport to the hotel wasn't too bad. 2 other families on the bus and we were the 2nd stop. Got to the Contemporary, went to the front desk to pick up my key and head to the room. Dh's conference had JUST ended and he was in there resting. He was tired, but the girls and I were anxious, so we decided to explore the hotel for a while. Went to the Food & Fun Center and grabbed some lunch. My girls are pretty light eaters, so I got an adult chicken strips basket for the 3 of us to share. Plenty of food with some left over. Cost was $6.99, I believe. Gave the girls each $.50 to play games then went to explore the hotel. Went into some of the shops and such. Oh, we were in the tower on the 10th floor with a bay view. The view was great (we actually checked out the view from the balcony before we headed out to explore the hotel). There's a little playground that the girls played on for a little while. We explored for a few hours, watched the fireworks from the observation deck on the 4th floor and then went back to the room. We had a late PS for Chef Mickey's...8:45 but went down around 8:00 and were seated in about 10 minutes. I think we've eaten at Chef Mickey's every trip and it's our favorite place. The food was great. Characters were great. Great way to begin our vacation. Back to the room, watched the EWP (our first time seeing this...the kids loved it) and went to bed.
