12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

:flower1: Lisa, I went to the dot photo site it is just what I need. My daughter just got married & I have tons of photos to have developed! This is by far the cheapest. & the best offer. Thanks again :dancer: :thewave:
Diana

I bet that you had fun with your new camera, John. Sounds like a beautiful event!

Diana, glad to help. I use snapfish normally. Right now you can prepay for 1000 prints for .10 each. By the time you add in S&H it comes out to around .14 each. That is the best deal that I have found AND I don't have to leave my home with the kids in tow while I stand at a kiosk cropping each picture. :) I got 1000 before getting our pictures from WDW in June done and now I am going to start working on our 2004 cruise scrapbook. Looks like I will be getting another 1000 soon so that we have plenty for our 2005 cruise. :)

Hi, We will also be going on the Disney Magic December 10 and would like to meet other families with children of the same age group. Brian (DH) Dana (DW)
Matt (DS13) and Lauren (DD9 at time of cruise). We will be in stateroom 6514 and our best friends will be in 6512 who has a lovely 18 year old (DD). We are from Virginia Beach and will be staying in Cocoa Beach on the 9th. Can you please add us on the link. Thanks

Hi my name is Diana my DH is Bruce I have DD Jennifer who is 14. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: We are from Derby, Kansas it is a small town outside of Wichita. We won't arrive until the day of the cruise. :sad2: I wish we could be sooner.
I told DD that their will be someone close to her age & she is very excited. :Pinkbounc .
:rockband: :dancer:

Welcome, crashxray! My DD will be 10 at the time of the cruise. She will be really excited to have another friend on board. If you DD wants to email my DD send me a PM and I will give you our email address. :flower:

OK, I have updating my cruise group email list. Sorry that I forgot to add a couple. They should be fine now. Dana, I have added the info you posted to the site. If you would email me at mandlgraves@cox.net I will send you the site link. :) Also, if you would like to include a short Bio telling us a little about yourself. I can post a picture of your family & each of the kids on the DIS Kid pages. Matt is our second teen in the group. Lauren might want to write a little about her interests & what she likes about the ship. You can check out what others have written when you see the site to get an idea.

WOW! We are up to 47 DISers for the cruise!!! LOTS of kids going too. :)

I am still looking for flights going in. I am hoping they will drop just little more.

Thanks Lisa - I knew you would know!! For whatever reason I can't get to the website from work and at home I have to go through IE as I can't get there through MSN either....I will have to send updated pics of the girls...at this age they tend to change rather quickly!!

I am starting to get very excited about our trip...I have been scouring ebay for those cute custom disney clothes and bought a cute Minnie outfit last night. Shame on me....I also have a friend making the girls matching minnie overalls.

Also what night is the best night for Palo? We didn't get a chance to do that on our last cruise and I would really like to eat there. We have the early seating so that could play a factor....

and I guess I am going to have to start visiting the cruise line forum again as I seem to need to know lots....

anyone have a best guess at dining rotation? Previous cruisers...were you in a less formal dining room on formal night and how did that go? (I am assuming that will happen to us)

tea with Wendy...how do you get tickets for this? I read "guest services" but can you call from your room? can it be done ahead? and do you also have to call for the character breakfasts or do they automatically give you tickets?

On our last cruise they gave us tickets at dinner for the Character breakfast the next morning. We didn't have to ask. I don't remember knowing ahead of time though which day it would be.

Oh, suppose I should re-introduce myself. Haven't posted here much. I am Darci and will be sailing with my DH and my 3 DD. Karli is 10, Lexi is 7 and Camryn is 5. Can't wait to cruise!!! Just got my remaining balance for this cruise. What a bummer, you actually have to pay!!!

I didn't know about tickets.....why do they give out tickets? Can't all the kids go to any event?
1st timer on Disney..I guess I have lots to learn.

The character breakfast is the morning of your first dinner in PC that is a sea day. :) If you are on PLA it will be on Thursday since Tuesday is a port day.

With the eastern you have two chances to be in Lumiere's for formal or semiformal. On our first cruise we had APL - eastern. Our second was APL - western, which would have put us in Lumiere's for both nights but we switched to PLA to be with our favorite server. Honestly, don't worry about that! The atmosphere will be more formal in all the dining rooms that night. :)

You can make your Palo resies for any time, not just during your seating time. You can also go to your early dining with the girls then take them to the nursery & go to Palo. If we go it is usually on WWTBAM night since that show interests us the least. The kids are bored with it too. I know someone on this cruise won it in that game but a 4 & 6 yo get tired of all the flashing lights. I wouldn't miss Golden Mickeys (Sun), Twice Charmed (Mon), or Dreams (Thurs) with the kids. They sometimes have matinees of these at 2 pm on sea days. Check the navigators.

Go to GS when you board to get the Tea With Wendy tickets. You are right there when you board, get it over with. :)

I just got a DCL sundress for DD on Ebay. :) :) :) I ended up getting several of her auctions & the dress was a steal for the final price! I was willing to pay ALOT more than what it went for. :)

The tickets for the CB simply makes it easier for you to remember when your time is. This is done by seatings. On your CB day if you have early seating you go to PC at 8:15, second seating at 9:45.

The tea with wendy tickets is to prevent overcrowding but from what I hear if you find out when it is and show up at the door there is usually room. It is held twice and they don't publish the times so the tickets would be the only way for you to know when it is.

I am also still hoping for Fl resident discounts to come out - there is still a LOT of availability on our cruise and it is listed on the website as the $799 deal which happened last year as well. I remember the discounts came out in September though so my cruise will be paid off but hopefully if I can get a discount they can apply that to my shipboard account...

V, if you get the FL rate and you have paid it off they will refund the difference to you so you don't HAVE to spend it all on the ship. ;)

Yes, we sure did! I mentioned in chat that the rates were already so high for next year's December cruises that I didn't know if we would be able to keep going every year. I was looking to know what to expect when we rebooked onboard. The 12/9 was listed at 36xx for just the cruise, no ins or transfers. Well, DU came back with a quote that saved us 1000!!!! :) That saves us alot more than we would have saved on the ship booking with 10% & the 200 credit!!! We booked the third to the last group rate room on that cruise & John snagged the last one. So far MrsMork & Darci are also booked for that cruise. We will have a DIS reunion! :)

sorry..this is like another language to me.....what do all the abrev. stand for?
