Cristi - yes they should let you in around 4...most all the restaurants will be open so you should be able to find something. I do have a reservation but I think I may cancel it and just eat at our resort before we go. Other than the party we are going to do our best at hanging out and relaxing too! I just wish I knew what the weather was going to be like!

Well, I got the bug too . . . barely finished my drive from Columbus last night and when I got home I had a fever of 101. Stayed home from work today and feel miserable - but not too miserable to pick up my laptop .

Better to get this, and get it out of the way NOW instead of 3 weeks from now. I always worry that one of us will get sick before we leave or on the ship.

mom's who do the packing....question....how many jammies do you take for the kiddo's? Do you think I could get by with 3 pj's? I am trying to conserve space...for all the girls things I am taking one garment bag (which is stuffed) and 2 rolling suitcase things - they aren't that big. For me it's easier to have as much hanging as I can because I hate digging through bags to find things!

I tried on one of my formal dresses and it fits! So I can use that, what about semiformal night....it seems most of my dresses are black...I would like to find something a little more colorful. We are headed to the mall tonight to get DH some shoes.....and I'm sure I'll find something I can't live without!

Hope you feel better soon John! I am with you, get it now and get it out of the way. I am also always worried we will get sick before we leave. Rachel didn't have strep. She is debating about going to school today. She hasn't had a fever since yesterday afternoon and her throat only hurts a little, but she now has the runny nose and sneezing. I am getting ready to take Jacob to before school choir and then she can decide before school starts. Maybe she should just stay home and rest one more day...

Vanessa, I am only bringing 3 pjs for my kids. I think that should be fine. You can always throw a load of laundry in if there is some sort of accident (leaky diaper). For semi-formal night I am either wearing a black velvet dress or a royal blue dress. The royal blue is pretty. My mom is letting me borrow it. She wore it on a cruise a few years ago. The only thing with it is, I will need to try it on. When I tried it on a couple of months ago it seemed a little snug in spots.

Great 3 pj's it is!! I am going to try and stretch my wardrobe. Cristi - are you packing a seperate bag for Disney or just packing it all together? Since we have the car I was thinking of an overnight duffle for the 2 nights so I wouldn't have to mess with everything. Since you are flying in your probably bringing it all....

Rachel decided to stay home one more day. She feels quite a bit better, but she is still really tired and her throat is still sore. I think it is a good decision.

Vanessa, congrats on the weight loss. I need to get back to the gym now. I was going to go after I took the kids to school today, but now I am stuck at home again. Oh welll.... maybe I will go this evening after Brad gets home.
I will have everything packed together since we are flying. I will probably try to separate it out somehow so that I only need to get into one bag at WDW.

Deidre, when are you flying down to FL? Are you flying out of the Springs or coming to Denver?

Here is # 1000 for me. Wow..... I really need help.

I was just over on the theme parks board trying to decide which parks to do when. I was just thinking about doing MK since that is what the kids like the best, but with all of the Christmas stuff going on, I am re-thinking it. Here is my thought now. Arrive late afternoon on the 7th, go to hotel and maybe hit DTD to see Santa. Thursday go to MGM and see Osbourne Lights, can't decide if we should just spend the whole day there or go to a different park earlier and hit MGM later in the day. Friday relax around hotel until time for MVMCP. Then post cruise our flight doesn't leave until 8pm so I was thinking about maybe going to Epcot for the day and seeing all of the different Santas/ Christmas traditions. I figure we could stay there until close to 5 and still have plenty of time (how long does it take to get to the airport from Epcot?).

Not sure how long it takes to get to the airport. All the parks are so nice at xmas...I think Epcot and MK especially! Do you have hoppers? Then you could come and go and see it all!

We definately love all the parks at Christmas. We get hoppers and do all 4 parks in 3 days. We begin each day at either MK, AK, or MGM and then end each day at Epcot - IF we have kids with us. This year is just DH and myself so we will probably skip MK. We were at DL for 3 days in June and will likely get down there again next year, maybe twice as DGS has a band trip there in March and they need chaparones. We will see Thurs what the cost will be for all three of us to go.

Hi Magic 12-10ers! I've been off the boards for a while --- wow you all have been busy posting! I have a lot of catch-up reading to do! Quick question about the onboard hairdryers. Are they any good --- or a whimpy whisper of air? I hate to pack a bulkly, heavy hairdryer if not necessary, but I'd hate to be stuck with a whimpy hairdryer even more... Thanks for any insight!

Thanks for the info about the parks at Christmas. We will probably skip AK this time since we will only be using park hoppers for two days. On Friday I am not using a pass since we will use our party tix to get into MK around 4pm.

Maggie, I bring my own hairdryer. I just bought a small travel one so I am going to check that out soon to make sure it is okay.

Around 11am Rachel decided that she was bored out of her mind and I took her to school. I got a short workout in and I also we to Target! I got all sorts of stuff from their $1 bins. THey had these really cute mini deck of cards with guess who on the front..... you're right Mickey Mouse. THey had four different styles. Two vintage Mickey and two modern Mickey. They were all Holiday themed so of course I had to get them. I also picked up some other stocking stuffers for the kids.
