Today was DS's 7th birthday. He did fine...DD had a meltdown. She wants presents. She wants to turn 6. ETC ETC ETC YIKES! What do you do with a 5 yo with PMS? :confused3
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I can relate. Those hormones sure seem to start early. :rolleyes: And it is only going to get worse :scared1:
Tell William Happy late B'day from all of us.

Rachel had a good birthday, but now she is sick. I think it might be strep. Sunday evening she started complaining of her throat hurting. Yestday DH stayed home with her and she also had a stomach ache and fever. So, today I am home with her and I will call the dr as soon as they open. We just need to get all of the sickness over now. I have been popping vit. C since SUnday and I am going to get Jacob started today.

Hey Lisa..... many moons ago (and many posts ago) you mentioned getting some glow bracelets for pirate night. Were you able to get some or should I get to looking? pirate: pirate:

Hi Cristi;

how's the weather up there in the mountains?? Colorado Springs has practically shut down and there is NO snow on the roads, no ice either.
I'd love to see what some of these people would do up in Canada or in the mountains :rotfl2: We went to Ouray 2 years ago at Christmas and over night it snowed 8 inches, DH and I were in our glory, it was like being home :)

Mind you our SUV has never seen a Canadian snow fall so we may have to turn it in when we get home, it will get snow up to the top of the tires and seize on us :rotfl2:

Sorry, I'm in a weird mood today. The girls are home all day, it's 7:30 am and I've done 2 loads of laundry already, if I can find the monster who keeps adding to my laundry I am going to set the killer cat on it :) It's amazing, I ask "who made this mess, who used all these clothes, ect" and my kids look at me with blank looks on their face and say "I don't know" AAHHHH, I can tell you I can't fit my left leg in their jeans so I'm guessing it's the laundry monster doing it. :goodvibes

Disney Di;

When I turned 13 my father, I could still kick him for this, put a note on my door, which read

"To the teenager of the house:

Move out now, while you still know EVERYTHING!!

During my teenage years my mother developed this pecular twitch to her right eye, now that my sister has become a teenage she now has that twitch in both eyes. I laugh at her and then she reminds me that I have two beautiful little girls who are 15 months apart, who will be traded out with evil aliens within 6 years and then I'll need to deal with two of them :earseek:

Enjoy the different bread of lifeform, in the form of the teenage, the time actually does pass :)

Have fun all,

We're thinking of trying to upgrade, if available, from cat 9 to possibly a cat 6, anyone know what kind of expenses we might be looking at, if we can do it at port? I know a couple of months ago it was going to cost around $1700/room, any thoughts??

We'll be fine in the cat 9, it has the big window, we don't want cat 8, unless it's really cheap as the only difference is it's on a higher level, cat 7 only fits 3 people, so cat 6 would be the next cat we would look at.

Thanks all,

I can't remember who asked about the digital camera but here is a link of what is for sale on Black Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving...

Hope it helps, I know there are some digital cameras lister. We have a kodac and like it a lot.

Deidre... We aren't in the mountains, but close to the foothills. We got a couple of inches of snow, but the roads are "slicker 'n snot" as my mom says. Hopefully it is just the neighborhood streets that are so slick. I just got back from taking Jacob to school and I went through two stop signs (I was only driving 10 mph). Luckily, there weren't any other cars there. I have to take Rachel to the dr at 11:50 so I hope the roads are better then. The sun is out, but it is cold..... about 25 degrees :cold: Dreaming of the sun on the cruise :sunny: :sunny:

Great! I have about 20 small bottles of Nemo bubbles for sailaway. I also have tons of Disney stickers. I will probably bring a bunch of them too to pass out to the kids. My mom works for Hallmark and she is the regional manager of the groups that service the cards at Walmart. She brings home a ton of stuff that Hallmark would otherwise throw in the dumpster. She then passes most of that on to me. So I figure I should share the wealth and pass it on to my new friends. :earsboy:

Hi Cristi;

My Dad uses the same "slicker 'n snot", I'm glad no one was on the road when you went through the stop signs. Safe driving to the Dr.'s I hope your DD gets better soon and that it's not too serious.

I need to pick up some bubbles and things still for the cruise, I now find the need to sneak to the store or else my DH will hand cuff me to the house :) :rotfl: He tried to remind me that we are leaving in a few weeks and it would be nice to have money on the cruise. How can I forget that we leave soon?? However, I would rather buy things here than be at the mercy of the mouse :) We went to Breakenridge last year and bought a disposable camera for $11, I could have bought 3 for that price at WM. So this year I already have the disposable and water proof cameras.

I have a couple of disposable cameras for the kids, but I still need to get a waterproof one or two. I just realized this morning that I need to check and see if we have enough sunscreen for the cruise.

:sunny: :flower: :cool1: :rotfl: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :earboy2:

Sorry, I am just getting carried away with the smilies. :rolleyes1

Don't worry Cristi about the smilies, I feel the same way.

Good plan about checking for sun screen though, I hadn't thought about that yet AAAHHH What else have I forgotten about?!?! :rotfl: :goodvibes

I located our sunscreen Sunday. DH picked up 30 (not 20)glow sticks. We plan to bring them for DIS kids. pirate:

If anyone needs extra sunscreen - I have a tote bag full of it that I am bringing....

also I have Princess Stickers and tattos, pooh stickers, mickey sticker, tropical glitter tatoos - I was intending to make goodie bags for the kids but with all the additions its hard to keep up so I think I may do the same as Cristi and just hand them out to everyone. Oh and DH brought me home about 40 lime green "DIS" tic tac packs! :)

I can only imagine how I will be in two weeks....there are only 2 more sailings before ours!!

What many may not realize is that I booked this cruise May of 2004 for 12/04 and then was too pregnant to sail so we switched to 12/05....I have been waiting forever!! :)

taking a break from wrapping....I am all done with my xmas shopping and now trying to get it all wrapped.....I can't believe how little time we have left...now I read there may be a Delta strike!! I don't need the extra stress!!!! :bitelip:

I haven't STARTED my Christmas shopping! :bitelip: I guess I will deal with that either Black Friday or when we get back we will have to do a marathon shopping day. :rolleyes:

I am probably about half way done with my shopping. I was hoping to go out tomorrow on my day off, but it looks like I will probably be home with Rachel again. Took her to the dr. Rapid strep test came back negative. Bummer.... I was hoping for strep so she would feel better quicker. She is finally taking a nap now.

I may do Coldwater Creek online/catalog for a bunch of my shopping. They ship for free to whomever you specify in Dec, wrap it for you, put a nice tag on it AND guarantee delivery in the US by Christmas if you order by Dec 23. :teeth: A plan I can deal with, not being much of a shopper.
