12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

Deidra, I have used Dryel. I think it works good as long as your clothes doesn't have any stains. It does not remove stains very well. That is a good idea to bring some on the ship in case you want to wear that outfit again.

I bought some of those space bags to use. My DD says she has to bring her pillow. :rotfl2: Has anyone used these before?

Diana :wave2:

Diane;

I religiously use the space bags around the house, I get 3 queen (2 king) bed in a bag sets in them with no problem, then it takes up less room than a pillow :)

Anyway, I haven't used the travel space bags but now that you have reminded me I will be grabbing a few to use. The travel ones are a little more difficult to use, I've heard, as you actually have to push all the air out by hand instead of vacuum.

They're great though because if your luggage gets wet your stuff is still good.

Thanks for letting me know about the Dryel, I'd rather only take one or two suits for DH and as we're away for 2 weeks I am not trying to find a dry cleaner at the hotel and pay enough on dry cleaning as I would on another night at the hotel :)

Hey Jordan, how are you tonight?

I am fine, but my roommate is watching some god awful movie on CBS. We're actually laughing alot..and it's a drama. What's up with you?

Just getting ready for bed.

Cool.

Later.

Later.

Wow! Busy board today! MGM anytime before 3 will work for us. We are very flexible and if others want to meet at Epcot later as well we can do that also. We will be doing the DVC Very Merry Mixer from about 4-5, otherwise we are available. Just tell us when and where and Lisa can add the times to the web page.

Jordan, we stayed at BCV last Dec and really liked being so convenient to Epcot, our favorite.

The rooms at OKW are just a little larger and we really like the laid back atmosphere there, so we are back there this year. Less points too and that is nice. :teeth:

I bet your room host(ess) would let you borrow their vacumm if you need them to pack the space bags.

So we are half way to 1700 in just one day. Do you think we are all getting a little excited now? ;)

Diedre, we will try to firm up some times to meet before we leave. We won't be online alot while we are there either. Cell phones are great for hooking up too. :chat:

Angie, I got your PM. Thanks. Maybe try and meet up at MGM in the AM. We can figure out a time as we get closer.

I also bought some Dramamine. I usually don't get motion sickness. I was wondering how bad the seas are this time of year?

Jordan - I stocked up on Dramamine and Bonine....can't be to careful. :)

I watched Desperate Housewives too and I think it's hilarious that Gabby was making Bree take in that dress and then her friends still thought she was pregnant....I mean the girl looks anything but! And what in the world is Bree thinking? George is SO Creepy!

Hi Angie;

I'm going to need to get a "pay as you Go" phone, I cancelled my Sprint cell phone quite awhile ago as my job gave me a cell phone. I'm leaving the phone behind because I don't want to deal with anything related to work while we are away so I will have NO PHONE :sad1: What ever will I do with no phone!?!? Anyway, I'll probably look for a phone this week :cheer2: I'll let you guys know if I do get one. We'd love to meet up if all the stars align right in the sky :)

Anyway, I now interrupt the mad rambling of the sleep deprived mother to go do more laundry :)

We got some Dramamine (sp?) as well, Mom is going to bring Gravol from back home, really good for night quesiness. Is bonine any good? I saw it yesterday as I was buying a travelling medicine pack, I was thinking of getting it but I don't know a lot of these US products. I am taking pills for everything for our trip. Pepto, Tylenol, cold stuff, dramamine, etc., DH told me there is medical on the trip and I figure, except for the seas sickness stuff they will charge you an arm and a leg for anything you need. I could be wrong though but I'd rather be prepared myself than stalking halls looking for pills :rotfl2:

Hi Lisa and Vanessa;

I figure George pushed Bree's therapist off the bridge last night on the episode. Her therapist didn't really approve of the relationship and Bree mentioned it to George that they should know one another better before getting married.

The person in Gabby's home was the kid from the basement in the new people's home. I guess he is another son of the woman (sorry I don't know thw names on the new people) and he is low functioning and killed a woman. He was being locked in the basement for his safety and everyone elses but escaped.

As for Gaby in her dress, I wish I looked that well now, let alone 3 months pregnant :) My youngest is turning 6 soon, I really need to loose the "baby belly" that I kept as a souvenier :rotfl2: Anyway, I thought it was funny tooo when the girls knew right off she was pregnant. I wonder if she'll still be pregnant next week after her fall?

I'm off (laughing insanely), to do MORE laundry and try Dryel and get the kids dressed, and, and, and, and, (I know you other Mother's, and Father's, know exactly what I mean :goodvibes ) Have fun everyone,

Bonine does not make you as drowsy as dramamine (sp). They do have it available on the ship. You can ask for it at guest services or just go to the medical center and they have some on the wall outside the door. I found out on the first night of our first cruise that I tend to get woosie even in calm waters. DH said "you can't even feel the ship moving!" Well, excuse me, but "I CAN!" I missed dessert that first night and just spent the rest of the evening in our room sleeping. I just take a bonine each morning now and I am fine. They are good for about 24 hours. Taking it in the morning helps even more with the drowsiness problem.

Yes the medical does cost. I had a kidney stone last cruise (on Christmas Eve for Pete's sake!) and the cost for treatment, IV and drugs was around $500.00. About the same as an emergency room, I think. My health insurance did reimburse me for all but my $15 co-pay. But, I did have to pay it upfront.

I think a regular visit is around $75. If your child "has a protein spill" (throws up!) in the clubs you have to get medical clearance before they can go back. This is a precaution to make sure that the "protein spill" was just from seasickness, eating richer foods than usual, etc rather than some virus that might spread thru the clubs.

Wow - if DD has seasickness we have to pay $75 to clear her back to the clubs! Yikes....

she was fine at 18 months but I am wondering if I need to take any precautions with her now.
