12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

Lisa,

You sailed the week before I did last year. I remember the man driving the tram made a comment that the day we were at Castaway was the first day they had seen any flowers blooming since before the hurricanes.

Hopefully it will be a little green before we get there. I was just there in August, and they were working on a lot of stuff, I know now for the stingray encounter. But you could still tell that the island had been hit by major hurricanes. There was still some beach erosion on Serenity Bay.

I guess the only blessing is it faired much better then Cancun and Cozumel. The pictures from those ports are very sad. I don't think they will be seeing cruise ships again for a long time.

We were at CC Dec 27 last year. They had it fixed up pretty well, but a storm had blown the nets out the night before so there was no swimming allowed. It was a bit windy and chilly, but DH and I did sit on the beach for a bit and had our Konk Koolers. Of our 6 cruises that is the only one there was any problem with CC. We sailed in mid Jan once and it was a bit chilly then also, but the cruises in the first 2 weeks of Dec we have always been lucky and had good weather. :sunny:

Whoa! We were at the very bottom of the page, just about to slip onto page 2. Bump. :Pinkbounc

Maybe some are in mouning over the World Series and some are still celebrating. :rotfl2: Football today. :cheer2: Woo Hoo!! 12:30 PDT ABC. Trojans did drop from #1 to #2 in the poll this week though. Hmmmm.

Angie I'm so glad you said cruis'en weather was great the first 2 weeks of Dec. I have been worried about what the weather would be like.

Has anyone been on a cruise when therre has been a hurricane?

:wave2: Diana

Hi all!

We cruised on January 8 of this year and the weather was great. We had a few brief ran showers on our first sea day. Other than that it was great. The temps were a little cool in the evenings but nothing too bad at all.

Have a great weekend...

Ducks....WIN....again last night, 6-4 against the St Louis Blues....it looks like things are turning around. UCLA wins another nail biter in OT and USC rolls to another win. I am kind of hoping that Texas loses (they're currently doing so) to help bolster USC back up to number 1.

I've been noticing not too many posts recently, but I figure with the holidays and school in full swing that folks don't get too much time to post. I thought I would've been posting 1300 way before now.......

Angie is happy again. :cheer2: Texas did win. They played all four quarters! :rolleyes1 Having been born in Texas, that makes me happy too. Just hope the two of them hold on till Jan 4. I will love to see that game!

Boy, can't post the same reply, only one every 40 seconds, I'm going to have to work to get to 1300 before Jordan wakes up!

Jordan, are you awake out there on the left coast?

This is number 1295 - only 5 more to go Jordan!

Wake up Jordan! You're very close to losing 1300!

1298, and only two more to go, will he make it?

1300, sorry Jordan, you snooze, you lose!

John
