Hi all...
Heard a report on the radio about this (after shopping in the complex that includes IKEA) and had to share some of the info from a new Stanford study on internet addiction (or "problematic" internet use). Now, this wouldn't apply to anyone here, I'm sure.
13.7 percent found it hard to stay away from the Internet for several days at a time.
12.4 percent stayed online longer than intended very often or often.
12.3 percent had seen a need to cut back on Internet use at some point.
8.7 percent attempted to conceal non-essential Internet use from family, friends and employers.
8.2 percent used the Internet as a way to escape problems or relieve negative mood.

Nope..doesn't apply here!!

I guess they have. It was so great when he got chosen that day. Of course, Mom had the usual goosebumps/tears. Allears was looking for pics of various things in the MK, so I sent them these of oldest DS and they used them. But I didn't know he was still on the site!

I like a good hamburger every once in a while and a bag of chips. When you are walking an average of 13 miles a day in a Disney park, you can use a few extra calories.

I mean are they eliminating Mickey ice cream bars too?...



...it will be interesting to see what happens.

Flags, swords, poles, tables...all are involved....

Ask CAPT Todd, but we're supposed to jump on the tables and yell...sword fighting optional...flags should be waived ...around the DR in procession before the meal and at the end....cutting food with swords gets bonus points with the good Captain.

So let me be sure I understand this correctly. We are to risk being put off the ship in the next exotic Caribbean port-of-call for jumping on DR tables during pirate night?

BTW quick DD update while I am online.

She did really well with the drops until this morning when she finally figured out that when we come to her with the dropper it is never a good thing. Her eyes looked much clearer this morning just a real little bit of crusty stuff in the corner after sleeping for 12 hours so I figured she was OK. The daycare called just before her 9:00 dose and told me that her eye was a little weepier than they would like but they would clean up her eye, give her the drops and see how she did. They said they would call back if they noticed anything and so far no phone call so hopefully whatever it was cleared up quickly.

Now I just have to worry about the rest of us!

This is one of those times to just spoil her silly!

OK, now that most of the moms have weighed in, and had the chance to have their fun . . .

My object in posting was not sympathy, or to get you all riled up. Hopefully you all had fun reading what incredible dorks we guys can be, and how changed our world has become from that of our fathers.

And on behalf of Dads everywhere . . . a little secret . . . it is no longer just the mom's world . . .
(let them keep thinking that if they want to - it's more peaceful that way)

BTW - where are all my guy friends? Too chicken to come to my defense?

Believe me John, no one was showing any sympathy or getting riled up. Just poking fun and anxiously awaiting day 2!

I am a trouble starter I guesse. I asked a question about the roller skate shoe and was told not nice things. I guesse I am a TS becouse I will be going under the fence if I have time left. I will just get on with life.

if you rebook onboard are the DCL website prices the same as what DCL will charge you? I rebooked onboard on our first cruise and it was a fiasco!

But I am wondering if they quote you their site price less 10% and the shipboard credit.

For example:
12/8/07
DCL site (now) $3243.52
AAA $3061.80

but I am sure DCL will go up in price right?
The 10/27 was cheaper, I am guessing they still consider that hurricane season.
I don't know about the rebooking onboard...is it only a better deal if you are booking the dummy dates?

That's my cruise next year, . DM didn't get the job, so we are cruising in October for sure, .
