OK for the rest of my day....I am exhausted & cannot wait for bedtime. I was at school all day begging for donations around town & putting the auction baskets together. The reason that I didn't march DD over to the neighbor's to appologize for her dirty deed is that DH was home so that he could say goodbye to the kids. He called me at 7:45 this morning to tell me that he had to leave for PAX today. He will be back in time to take the kids to the carnival Friday night. OY BOY!!! :( DD has not taken the news very well yet.

I am still a little confused on that to Vanessa. From what I was told by another DISer, I am to go to where the shuttle drops people off and that it is outside the gate. I am not to get into the car line for dropping off and parking. Dh will drop me off outside the gate where there will porters to take the luggage. Then me and DDs can walk to the line to get into the terminal while DH takes the car back to the hotel and gets the shuttle back where he will meet up with us.

I am just unsure of where the shuttle drop off is since I have always driven and parked. But if I can get away with parking for free at the hotel, I'm all for it. It won't be as nice when we get back and have to go back to the hotel to pick up the van, but we usually aren't in any rush so it should be fine.

That is exactly right, Caroline. :thumbsup2 Here is a picture showing the drop off area. This shows the cars lined up at the drop off area to the left of the picture.

What about those of us who are parking at the port? Do we have to wait in the car line? :confused3

To get into the parking lot you need to line up in the parking lot across the street. :)

OK, I am going to take the kids to Wendy's so that DD can use the free frosty coupon that she got for winning the young author contest. She seems to have stopped crying for now.

Do you drop off your luggage first? :confused3 Why is this hard for me to understand. :sad2:

BTW for those of you who were wondering it looks like we are going to buy the cow for our freezer. The seller got back with me and this is what you get if you buy 1/4 of a cow!

There should be 6 packages of cubed steak, 4 packages of t-bone steak (2 per package 3/4 inch thick), 4 packages of sirloin steak (1 per package, 3/4 inch thick), the tip roast was converted to steak, (1 package of 2, 3/4 inch thick), rib roast converted to steaks (2 packages, 2 steaks per package, 3/4 inch thick), 6 chuck roasts (3 lb roasts), 3 arm roasts (3 lbs), and on the boneless roasts there were a total of 6 per 1/2 of beef (3 of each that do not divide up evenly for each type of roast, the rump roast and pikes peak roasts (there will be 2 of 1 of 1 of the other, these are also 3 pound roasts), and finally 45 pounds of hamburger.

Not that it matters too much but you guys do realize we don't live in a trailer, right? :p

It wouldn't matter if you did. Good people are Good people no matter where they live. I have lots of friends who live or have lived in trailers.

I CAN TOP THE BATHROOM BAT ONE TODAY! DH & I were at the front door watching the kids walk home from the bus stop. I saw DD drop her backpack but then I turned to pick something up. DH said OMG! Did you see what she just did. Apparently she had to use the bathroom really bad. When they cut across the yard on the corner she stopped, dropped, and peed next to a tree. :furious:
That is a hoot!!!! I am dying laughing!~~~~

I was looking at this shoe set. I think the Ariel shoes she would be fine in right now. I guess I could get the set and just give her the one pair and then give her the rest as she gets older.

Just an FYI on those shoes. They break really fast. DD went through a lot of them and a lot of super glue.

Sounds good. I could eat some beef right about now!

I wasn't trying to be a trouble maker over on the main board....I really wasn't...honest.

OK everyone! Take a deep breath! We are going to have a major change to our cruise planning on the ship.

Are you ready?

This thread discusses the change that has been made in the schedule. Now that The Magic can dock in Cozumel, it isn't leaving until after 10 pm. They cannot do fireworks in port so it has been switched to Tuesday night. :(

Lisa,

I don't know what this means?

I'm done doing the "car thing" for the weekend. DD and I just came back from the Acura dealer where we went to test drive the RDX. Let me tell you I left there :furious: :furious: Before I rant I will say that we've been to the Mazda, Honda and Lexus dealers and this has never occurred so perhaps that is what got me - I wasn't prepared for it.

It takes a lot to make me personally really angry. Typically if someone is mean to another that will get me in protection mode of them but to make me livid about something done to me specifically...I have a long fuse. One thing that is guaranteed to tick me off is disrespect and add bad service. Oh Boy! It is a HUGE pet peeve of mine especially in a place where they are looking to take a significant amount of my dollars. I'm not about "treat you like crap you are lucky to be here" service.

I went into the Acura dealership with DD and we are walking around - no greeting etc. That is ok - I don't like hovering. So we walk around the showroom. Now mind you a guy came in after us and the receptionst went over to help. Still okay - so after 5 minutes I approach her about the MDX because the one in the show room has a big SOLD sign displayed. She said we could go see the interior of that RDX. I said are you sure (because frankly if I bought a car I wouldn't want anyone else sitting in it). So fine we go over to the car - doors locked. Okay - walk back over to the receptionist to inform her the car is locked and she says "Oh yeah, they do that sometimes when the car is locked" I'll see if I can get someone to help you.

One sales guy (he looked liked Rod Steiger playing the man in the movie In the Heat of the Night without the stogie) comes by her and she says "Excuse me, Rod Steiger look alike guy" do you have time to.." He looks over at me and actually makes eye contact and says "No" turns his back and moves on. I'm shocked. Not because he could have been busy but that he was so rude. He went back and sat at his desk. Then she asked another guy - same thing.
yikes.gif
She then approaches some other guy who asks what I am interested in - I tell him and he says the RDX' are out back and FINALLY a quasi apology "Some of the sales reps are busy and if you would like to go out back someone would be with you in 10 minutes" 20 minutes later we walk back into the main show room and I see a couple getting out of their car walking in front of us walk into the showroom and approach the same receptionist and I hear the guy say "We were just driving by and decided to stop and check out the new RDX" She immediately walked them over to a sales person.
eye-popping.gif

At that point I was furious.

If my daughter had not been with me I would have firmly (hopefully) politely given them a piece of my mind. I was I think so flabbegasted I stood there and the whole thing was probably the most inconceivable thing I have never ever had happen to me. I stood there shocked.
raincloud.gif
Walking out the showroom, I called DH on my cell and said "Where is another Acura dealer? You will never in a million years believe the most rude, ignorant service I have just received.

The thing that stinks is there are not a lot of Acura dealers around here. There are 4 I think. I looked on line and saw one in Nashua NH. I would go there before I walk into that showroom again. If I loved the car I would never purchase it from them.

That's horrible! I would write a letter. Our sales guy was really nice, not pushy and seemed really decent. I am sorry about your awful experience!

Not usually. You can drop it off at the curb of the terminal inside the black gate with the porters there before you park.

Hmmmm....maybe you need to toss some manure on it and then she will pick it up? :lmao: A stable isn't exactly a clean place to work. That one would have me puzzled.

The funny things is, we were at the church last night for some kind of Church Social Teachings thing with Disney movie clips being used as examples...anyway..

The speaker was talking about Workers and respect of workers, etc. and how people look down on other people because of what they do. He asked, if we really thought people wanted to be garbage men...no...

Do you really think there are any people who want to clean up after the elephants at the circus...we thought about it and then pointed to Devon.

It was good for a laugh, from the three of us at least. :rolleyes1
