We might not make 31K but you sure did make me chuckle especially imagining your DD's face peaking out the window of a Lincoln.Jhalkias said:No, I was offline until tonight . . .![]()
I did not drive it Carla. That is the first time I had a salesperson talk me OUT of looking at a car. The financing and incentives on the Hybrids is bad, the lease rates are even worse! The dealership I went to was smelly of old cigarette smoke too, and rather than drive it anyway, I decided to leave.
So I went to another cleaner dealership, and there decided to try and drive the new Lincoln MKZ. Really nice car. Fun to drive, and AWD.
But, I told Amy, I would either feel like I should be older (driving a Lincoln), or that I should be selling drugs out of the trunk, or that I should have the bass shaking the windows.
The Lincoln, while a nice car, was just too pretentious for me to be tooling around town with a 6 year old in the back seat.
So, Freestyle Wagon it is. We could not wait for the new Edge, because it will not be out until Nov. I have an extra $1,000 incentive that expires Oct 31 through my dad.
We are getting a silver birch colored one with black interior.
This post is too long - never make it to 31k like this!

TanaL said:All you sports fans might appreciate this. I was pretty non-plussed myself. This afternoon after the boys' gymnastics class we went to Champps to meet dh for lunch and to watch the last half of the Twins game. This was their first play-offs game. In the end, they lost and my 4 year old ds was so distraught that he began crying uncontrollably. It took quite a while to get him calmed down. (He's a very quiet crier so no one in the restaurant was aware, he just sobbed into my shirt.) I'm trying to point out useful things like "it's just a game, someone has to lose, it's still fun to watch the game,". Dh could only say "they still have another chance tomorrow, they have to win tomorrow". So what happens if they lose tomorrow huh Dad? oh wait, he'll be at the game and I'll be at home with the sobbing child. argh!
